So Hyang isn't a girl, though she looks 25 in this performance. She was 37 then and is 43 now. The amazing never aging woman! She is a South Korean Gospel singer, who also sings classic pop. Yup, she almost literally knocks everyone out when they hear her sing. I was 61 when I heard her sing this, it was my first exposure to her, and she made me cry. As you can see, she has a voice you will never forget. And all of her performances are like this. And virtually all of them are live. David Foster places her right beside Whitney Houston, Celine and Mariah. You pronounce her name So hYong as in song but with a slight h in front of yong. A lot of people just call her So Young. She is a cancer survivor from age 20 and has decided she is going to eschew fame and turned down recording contracts from the biggies, including Sony Music US just this past October 2020. She only sings for churches, charities (including TV shows) and to comfort the sick and poor. She is a Christian and actually tries as hard as she can to walk the walk. We all love her! ❤👌😉😎
