As one of the original founders of the NAACP, Ida B. Wells was a forerunner of the American Civil Rights movement. African Americans are a demographic that have been played by the political system all throughout the history of this country. And in relation to the 2nd Amendment, it is no different. The color of your skin doesn't matter. I believe ALL people should be legally armed in order to defend themselves- even convicted felons in most jurisdictions are allowed to posess muzzle loaders, black powder pistols & air rifles for protection of their families, homes & themselves. And if the thought of protecting yourself with an air rifle makes you chuckle?... Google the 'Girandoni Air Rifle,' and check out what air rifle technology was like over 200 years ago. The Lewis & Clark expedition took big game with an air rifle back then. Citizens have that option to take down home invaders with them now.

Prior to 1730 these were common things taught to slaves in a number of positions such as house keepers and indoor servants. Nat Turner was raised to be a house slave and taught reading and writing which were valuable tools in his revolt.

Exactly. That's why I don't argue with antigun people. I just ask questions and refer to specific things just enough to get them thinking. It's their choice, but usually their decisions are heavily influenced by incorrect data in the media and by others who are ignorant. I have been trying to wake my friends and family up but many are so programmed by the media. They did one thing right. They got the blacks and Latinos on board with a system that has gone against them. I am amazed at how much gun control Cali has. My wife wants to move back there since she lived there prior to meeting me. I told her we can do a long distance relationship. 😜 She just can't get it in her head Cali is the leader of constitutional violations in my opinion. I will NEVER make Cali my main place of residence unless they canceled all the foolish laws. Then I would consider it as a 2nd residence. The cost of living alone is enough to deter any new citizens. People are trying to leave Cali like so many have left the NYC.

I can only shake my head and do me. I wish at times I was single so I would only have to worry about protecting me and the home. Trying to protect the closed minded is a hard task. Many aren’t aware of this kind of history and only have negative perceptions on guns so, they’re pretty much ripe to swallow the gun control crap. I could have easily fallen victim to that growing up, but luckily, I had enough positive influences centered around firearms.

@Milk Man Where does it say that pit bulls kill as many people as ten breeds do? One of those anti pit bull forums? The truth is, pitbulls kill about the same amount of people as any dog breed, or maybe a little more by a small margin. You also can't trust statistics because a sometimes dog kills aren't recorded because there was nobody to witness what dog killed that person. Furthermore, a mixed Labrador-pitbull may be counted as a straight pitbull if it kills someone just cause biases. As for being a police man having a racial bias, you need to understand that the most scary thing is that they can't count murders by race if someone doesn't get caught, and that pretty much explains itself. Also, living conditions are different. A hood in Southside Chicago is likely gonna have more poverty and be more dangerous than a hood in Northside Chicago, leading to more overall violence. You ever watch "Boyz n the Hood"? Good movie, I recommend it to you.

It means that anyone with access to the internet and ability to type out a web page could've made that(community document). I'd like to see a .gov(government) type document, with pit bull KILL statistics that are NEW and actually comes from a reputable source. Upon further inspection, I can also see that your man there who provides this pitbull kill information gets about 90% of his sources from a .com and .org type page. So not only is his page a community page, he gets most of his evidence from community and organization pages(.org can also be made by citizens with the same resources), furthermore, the only government page he provides is one that is focused on treating the bite wounds of such animals, not the count. Obviously, if a pit bull is a bigger dog(such as Rottweilers and German shepherds, which are both popular dogs), it is gonna bite harder than a chihuahua or an italian greyhound.

Yeah. Usually when we talk about the civil rights movement,the racism that gun control showed to blacks was horrendous. Not once have I heard a single person talk about the liberties that these people were missing because of ignorance. Same here in utah. You can buy an AR15 3 100 round drum mag and a thousand rounds of ammo and walk out same day with just a background check and yet we don't have many shootings, and the ones we do the person usually didn't legally obtain their firearm

Racism itself is unconstitutional and so the elites or white supremacist lawmakers practices and implements racism through legislations or laws which primarily and disproportionately targets black and brown people. It is that simple. So when you say so long as gun control is unconstitutional that's all we should focus on, you are missing why it is unconstitutional in the first place, as racsm isl the root or initiative behind it the main point of this discussion is that it never became an issue to practice the 2nd amendment until BLACK PEOPLE started to practice it!!! Remember we were never a part of the constitution initially as we were deemed noncitizens, therefore when the 2nd amendment was written or all of the amendments period, they only applied to white people. As soon as the black panther started arming themselves and even as far back as the people of Rosewood known as black wallstreet in Tulsa Oklahoma, it became a problem to the kkk or white people and our own government. So they set out to disarm, jail and or kill any black persons who owns or more importantly has any ambition to own a gun, their rights were violated in many ways to get the guns out of their hands and the idea of even owning one by way of intimidation and legislations without even amending the 2nd amendment, how clever is that smh. The prison system is one of the ways they use to keep guns out of black citizens hands by making is felons every chance they get and in many cases innocent of any wrong doing.
