No disrespect to Partey but he let us down at the moments we needed him most due to injuries, though not his fault. His injuries follow a predictable pattern and we cannot continue to make the same mistake every season. However this season, he looks off paced and slow, probably due to not being in form and still trying to be in top shape due to having been away from the game for quite a while. That will definitely affect his position in the team as where there are other ready players who can step up, he will only take up a place when needed. He is good nonetheless but what he cannot guarantee us is availability on a consistent basis
What do you mean unbeatable? We struggled against Everton in our last game till he was replaced and we scored. Partey is past it and if he won't perform tomorrow, the bench is his place.
No one is disrespectful stop moaning dude wtf...every season is injured, last season barely played....and now first game of the season his legs failed second half .
@@Jimmy-e6r9xDo you to bet that he won't perform tommorow? We technically still haven't replaced him. Rice is not a Partey replacement offensively, the Euros exposed that, and this new guy isn't either. I would argue that, had we integrated Partey earlier last season, we wouldn't have lost to Bayern and Aston Villa. Everyone bitches about Saka dive against Bayern, but everyone forgets the pass that split the whole defence coming from Partey, Rice ain't ever doing that in a million years.
The biggest thing is Arteta and Edu are building depth just like Man City. Some of the first 11 players played way too many minutes. With the new signings Arsenal will be able to rotate more and be fresher at the end of the season. Last season the they had to bring on players like Elneny, Cedric Soares and Kiwior. They're building much better depth now.
@@edwardkelly3280 Kiwior was not that good. He improved from being terrible to becoming average and seemed good in comparison to Zinchenko defensively. That’s not good enough.
@@williamwatitwa3534 we have depth, Merino,Rice,Martin,Jorginho, havertz,(trossard and Jesus) Plus academy players. Midfield is fine arteta buys players that can play multiple positions, he’ll even zinny can play in the middle
Merino is a box to box midfielder, he isn't eating up Partey and Jorginho's minutes, he's a backup to Rice who can also allow Partey/Jorginho to rest as Rice slots into the 6 when it's time to defend a lead.
Have you measured the players??? None of us know the exact heights we can all find about 10 different heights for each player. The top 5 search results on google all say Merino is 6 foot 2.
@@1987simple1987Wasn’t speak about Merino cause of the asterix (aka not fully confirmed yet), he is 6’2, it’s the others I’m speaking about & multiple sources confirm it I don’t need to ‘measure them myself’
Partey is going to be the back Up, already he's a liability can't Play 10 consecutive matches without injury however good he's without Injury,& against wolves he was awful in the second half, sloppy passes,.. he's just Lost his position 💯 guaranteed
Even as an Arsenal fan relax man-out fanbase is hated enough and just like the last two seasons a season ending injury could prevent us winning the title again
It's funny no one remembers how Arteta decided to play Partey from the right back and trying something entirely different from where he played him during d community shield and preseason matches. Those try and error led to Partey earlier injury chrises.Partey is giving his best in Arsenal jersey always ❤
Partey is not respected at Arsenal. He has the best “6” and easily the most press resistant player on Arsenal team. The truth is that when everyone is for only Partey and Ordegard will be certain starters.
Very very daft panel for me. Gundogan will obviously have more of an impact. Ontop of that Declan rice replace Xhaka. And Partey and Rice are first choices anyway.
If you see a 6'5 dude on a football field, you'll know it . That's goalkeeper size.. and even then, it's still freakishly tall to keep balance, mobility and feet coordination at that size !!
Arsenal are starting to look like a squad not just a first 11 now if they pull this off it will be a battle for everyone to play but I would add a striker. I'm guessing he will be competing with delcan rice to start unless party is on his way out Sunderland fan
Arsenal seriously need to focus on bringing in a number 9. That's the only way they win the league. Sure, they've done fine without one, I mean City won league titles without one. But signing one, took them to the next level and Arsenal need a striker
I hate how spineless Arsenal fans become towards Thomas Partey when they get a new toy. They always scramble back like ants when there isn’t one single pass splitting play in a whole game lmao.
@@michaelnyanteh6808 he’s not European looking so will never get the respect of a large majority of the fanbase, deep down they know he’s arguably our best player at the club.
His injury record is the problem. Arsenal fans are tired of having such a huge talent always injured so they will rather find someone to replace him already
In my opinion, Arsenal lost the title when they were happy to draw against City instead of going for the win. The played cautiously, not taking too many chances, and were satisfied to walk away with a single point. Champions don't play timidly. They go for it. It's great that Arsenal are getting big quality players but the team attitude has got to be more assertive against everyone, especially their biggest competitors.
Clear and concise tactical decision by Mikel. It didn't work as intended, hence the draw, but Man City are Man City, they're not going to press that high and play as they do against most sides, that would result in a 4-1 thrashing... Just like the 22/23 season when Arteta took the less cautious approach and lost, City overtook Arsenal to top the league that game. So whilst your opinion is of course respected - doubting the passion and assertive nature of this current Arsenal team is, in my opinion, utterly baseless and actually the exact opposite of what we see every week. They were clearly not "happy" to draw.
Jose Mourinho used a similar conservative approach sometime back and it won him titles. Arsenal just fell short towards the end against clubs like Aston Villa. It's hard to beat City home and away in the same season, tell me how many times have done that to them effortlessly? At least Arsenal tried and got 4 from them
In my opinion Man City became only got more points because they broke about 115 rules and no club outside Man City really respect their trophies. Liverpool's carabo cup is worth more than Man City's treble because they are not cheats. Champions don't need to cheat and Liverpool are a great club.
