Thanks for the tour & information about the town. Interesting and learned alot about the layout of Morant Bay Jamaica 🇯🇲 ❤ Watching from Greenville, South Carolina.
Thanks for your very informative drone drive-through. Definitely when these businesses are relocated to the new centre, the Morant Bay centre will be modernised in the not too distance future. Great job as usual.
I am a Jamaican living in UK, I have learnt so much about St Thomas just by watching your videos. I am planning to visit St Thomas the next time i return to Jamaica. Thank you for all your videos, I love the way you narrate and point out to various locations.
All of jamaica's parish capitals are old , dirty looking and in a state of urban decay. Most are in existence for over 200 years with little changes. Morant Bay is no different. Thank god for the new Urban center. This will bring St Thomas into the 21 century. I hope the government will replicate this project across the 14 parish capitals across Jamaica.
Along with the new roads, water pipes and telecom cable that is being laid in StThomas, another serious project that is urgently needed in the parish is a zinc fence removal programme.
Very valuable info about the various buildings Paarie!!...also, I saw some new place off "the beat & path" that I never knew existed..yes sah, I see yuh have to be slipping and dodging some of those high tension & cable wires running from pole to pole and businesses...lol..now that is a task in itself..
The town really needs major development one side of those narrow streets building should be Nock down for a wider road ways and modern new building constructed To create a more orderly modern city .I'm sure that will happen in the future anyway Especially if people like holnes is around
This is a historic town. I think they just need to maintain the buildings; renovate them and keep them in good condition so as to maintain the characteristics of the town. Tearing down the buildings would be erasing the history of the town.
I am still at a list as to why nothing was done to restore the Morant Bay courthouse. This building is of importance in Jamaican history. Why has nothing been done to restore it??
If you check 75% of people in St. Thomas the name of that street, and they will tell you it's Jackass Hill. It's rarely referred to by its correct name.
The landlords whose buildings were rented by the different government agencies will be significantly impacted. Likewise, business owners who operate in the town centre will be impacted as a lot of the footfall in the town will be reduced. On the spun off side, the town will be less congested. Sole traders will be able to find more affordable rent, and the demand for space will be less, and also give them the opportunity to negotitiate cheaper rent.
He was highlighting the various businesses/agencies' locations in the town centre that will be relocated to the Urban Centre when it is opened. Please look at vlog title.
