Not gonna lie, as I started focusing on bettering myself and eliminating out of my regular activities drinking, smoking, partying, relationships (sex) there was this overwhelming feeling of being outcasted no longer existing… very lonely… which was fascinating to me because it felt amazing I was never happier from the moment I stopped talking about my problems and doing things that were keeping me from my goals! I am swimming 124 laps up to 6 miles on an injured foot and have been building my own business. This was very affirming

There's a lot to be said for taking responsibility for your own emotional regulation, instead of moulding the world to fit you. It's almost seen as cruel to encourage your children to grow up to be functional, independent adults with boundaries.

@@AsheetBull That sounds a lot like crab mentality. It stems from an observation of crabs in a bucket. When the crab at the top tries to climb out and escape, the other crabs grab it and pull it back down. It is like, they can't escape, so they spitefully stop anyone else from escaping. Damaged people do this all the time. If you were an addict, chances are you were friends with other addicts (because your social circle consisted of people who validated your addiction). But when you try to leave that group, they will do their best to hold you back and pull you back down, because you shame them by creating contrast. Your desire to get clean, makes them look bad because they don't want to get clean. Which means you have to break free of that social circle and join another one (such as a 12 step program). That helps, but it is still a very limited method of getting clean.

Kids and young people are being groomed into the ideology and sub-cultures of homo-eroticism and sexual fetishism e.g. autogynephilia. It is highly insidious and epidemic in proportion, and camouflaged as 'love", while tapping into the persons need to belong and have an identity. I observed this grooming behaviour during the 1970's when many young people exposed themselves to sexual 'experiences' or were taken advantage off whilst under the influence of powerful drugs and alcohol. Many back then had been molested themselves. Orgasms, like heroin, are highly addictive. Major education campaign needed to help address the propaganda of these cults.

@Nicole Colwell Hi! That's exciting news :) I have linked up with a wonderful home ed community in the local area, but I also had a couple of friends who knew they were going down this route before we decided to homeschool. I think it's important to have some people on the same journey as you nearby. There seem to be loads of new communities and initiatives springing up all over the UK right now :) My kids are all 5 and under so I'm not sure there is such a thing as a typical day 😄 I read to the kids everyday, and we do some phonics/reading or maths when the mood takes us (we enjoy it so most days when we're at home). I try and include the older two in what I'm doing when cooking/cleaning. They really really love this. Some days we go to groups with other home ed families. Our favourite is a forest school type one. Then I let them play as much as possible. They play together so beautifully and their imaginations run wild. They DO NOT watch any TV or videos. It melts their brains and destroys their creativity. They enjoy drawing too. Some days we go out on balance bikes or to the park... I'm not going to pretend that my days are some kind of idyllic beautiful flowing thing... having three kids under 5 is hard work (but worth it). We're always learning and trying to improve what we do :) If I were in your shoes I'd start researching different ways of approaching education. The key ones for me are Waldorf Steiner, Montessori, Charlotte Mason and Classical. I'd take your favourite ideas from each and try them out. There's a lot of overlap between them. The first two start from birth and work really well in a home setting. I can't think of much else right now... but there must be more! Wishing you all the best with your growing family x

They were acting like terrorists. Now those books they want burned are bestsellers. Crazy people just need to try homeschooling for a month, and then guaranteed they will beg to let their children back in school, and be appreciative. Probably no one wants to teach their children, I know I wouldn't. Just let them sit in the back and eat chips. Sure, you got an "A". Believe me, all teachers know which parents are troublemakers, and their children are not ever called on in class. They never earn their grades, they are just given to them.

I think social media pushes so much of this. You’re either oppressed, fearful and virtuous or privileged, guilty and irrelevant. There’s no space for anything else. It might just be the field I work in (tech) but it’s interesting to see the number of people who are now just cancelling their social media accounts and won’t use it. I think there will end up being a split with some people only experiencing life through social media and those who want nothing to do with it. Universities have pretty much written their own death sentence by leaving students with a terrible level of education, a load of debt and only a small chance of getting a decent job at the end.

I love how you point out the weird direction. I was acquaintances with many who were gay over the years and even have friends that are gay. One issue I noticed that started to trend was certain females would do things that if I didn’t allow, I was seen as a “square”. For example: slapping my ass?! I said to her, please don’t touch me and she said: I am going to flip you-I flip women to be into women and started sharing lots of raunchy details on how she would do so. I couldn’t help but think 🤔 if a man I am not exclusive with slaps my ass, I set them straight, it’s called boundaries. It had happened with men before this at work and in a few friend circles and not limited to just slapping, so it wasn’t anti-gay or anything to do with preference. It was simply a boundary. Although I am a straight female which they knew too. So I set her straight, I said hands the F off my body but in a more polite fashion. I was met with complete disregard and it was turned into a joke and comedy. They were “just kidding” and I was the bore at the gathering; that was the response. Why? Because boundaries were not seen as acceptable nor was the idea that people can have a preference even if they were ok with being hit on so aggressively or treated like a sex toy. I don’t care what others do or how they express but don’t make me a sexual object or reduce our relationships to such. It’s an odd shift that started in 2000’s, or that’s when I noticed it. I am not some stiff either, I just don’t think sex and sexuality should be a main theme in our world. Especially with minors or assumed in all given situations. Why isn’t it assumed we aren’t looking for sex or any level of intimacy first, instead of the latter? Inquiring minds want to know. That doesn’t even touch the projection of: You need to be attracted to this or that or you are a {insert term}. Really? No. Sorry I don’t agree. I am allowed to be attracted to who I want and keep that to my damn myself and your ideological projection is utter insanity. I will say it again and again with zero worry too: That type of ideology is trash. If the above statement is offensive but being with zero boundaries or preference isn’t offensive: not my monkeys 🐒 not my 🎪 People can call me whatever they will but it just builds walls for any type of healthy connection potential. Why most can’t even see it or they just play that role well, is a mystery. Perhaps if it is just a role, it’s to destroy healthy natural concepts of who we are and how we naturally live, love, connect etc. Why being selective is an ism or ist whether it’s sexual identity or simply “taking time” for certain levels of closeness whether it’s discussion or behaviors is not liberal to me, it’s something else. Not sure what to call it without sounding judgmental but many aspects of how we view liberal seem rotten now. It’s interesting, purified is seen in a holy light with near all aspect of our existence but somehow we lost this philosophy with sex and relationships, with our body and reproductive and sexual health. Not water or our homes, many still agree clean and pure water is best and a clean environment is not only healthy but relaxing and soothing. This idea when applied to our bodies? Oh that’s a big ass can of worms and you will be shamed for promoting it. We are learning this somewhere, I have felt it personally and see it often in mainstream culture and social media as you have too. At some point boundaries and any morality was just destroyed and demonized. Perhaps it was too harsh at one time but now it’s beyond polar opposite. I am not shaming women or men for any choices, do what you will but I just think we lost something along the way and getting a little of it back is not a terrible idea. We have double standards and a lot of other contradictions. If men do this or that, it’s toxic masculinity. Then a woman or even trans individuals who do the same behaviors or worse, are not held to the same. Many think they have free access to disclose all matters and a free pass to all romantic interests. They are often met with support too but those same folks are bashing men for their chauvinism or how they are objectifying women. Hmmm 🧐 You know it’s backwards and that’s only a splash of what’s projected at us. I don’t like to stereotype or generalize either, it’s probably far less occurring in reality then we see loudly on social media and programs. Or maybe it’s not. I really don’t know what is artificially inflated or natural, raw or conjured, or what’s based on reality these days. Seems that’s going to be an ever increasing problem for all matters, not just sexuality or reducing our nature with sexualizing and other boundary-less banter. Augmentation, virtual, artificial, manipulated here we are-welcome to the 1/4 of the 22nd century! This is how we roll now. 😒 It’s a hard nut to crack Richard. I don’t get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I remember I met a cute gay man who pole danced and I wanted my male gay coworker to come with me to meet him. And he was like is his name (insert here) ? Oh yeah I know him. And he gave a sly smile. He didn't share much details of their fling.

@@perlitalaguna6622 💗 it doesn’t feel good to be sexually harassed. There’s a fine line even with guy friends, I have a fun spirit so I can laugh but sometimes you have to assert yourself if something doesn’t feel right or it’s persistent. When you are young and naive it’s harder for sure though. I have never been judgmental about people’s preferences, but if it’s their theme or virtually all they focus on? Meh. Also, not a big fan of the idea that to liberate you need to be promiscuous. Anyone that is merely focused on superficial aspects of another will get exactly that in return, shallow and not necessarily a great companion. Unless you want arm candy or something else for selfish fulfillment. I want it all, a genuine best friend and mad lover! 😂 That is a mutual connection based on somewhat mutual values or desires etc., definitely deeper understanding and connection.

Weird dynamics with my wealthy grandparents who took over most of the child-rearing. My upbringing was half old-school and half WEIRD. Not sure what happened with my mum’s generation. Thank you for sharing your thoughts good sir! I think it's a horrible mess these days and in my opinion, most people degenerate in a lot of ways and they even fucking celebrate it and are proud of it. I personally experienced what it means to be exposed to slave morality, someone trying to take away all my challenges, pain and whatnot, plus on the other side someone very violent and abusive that barely taught me anything for life due to overwhelm, depression, alcoholism and such, and on top of that a narcissist. There's so much pride in weakness and slave morality, it is so upsetting and fucked up. Took me years and years of setbacks, pain, rejections and eventually a drug overdose leading into a severe chronic illness that I'm still trying to recover from, to eventually get real with myself and work on myself and that immature programing, the trauma and all that shit. Probably sick and moderately disabled for life, and it absolutely sucks, but at least I can contribute a little by sharing my experience. Love and strength, Thomas

Wow, exactly what I think. However, if I express the same thinking, opinions to my many acquaintances and friends, they feel that it’s politically incorrect to even think such... Why? Over the last few decades, the right to speak one’s mind and to teach children and young adults that they need to be mentally strong and not allow to be sissies. To take criticisms that will be constructive and not think that the world owes them the right to whine. Letting the young adults or teenagers know that they need to work to bring out their full potential and not hide behind self-pity and laziness is not wrong, that it’s for making them into men and women who can shoulder responsibility and accountability when they embark into their careers. Too much BS is dished out these days and I am not happy with it.

Psychology is a wonderful tool when used to "know thyself" and an insidious weapon when used to judge the "other". I have been reading the Pathwork lectures for the past five years. They incorporate psychology, metaphysics and mythos as they guide us towards our authentic selves, or at least that is the intention, but as the Guide often warns in these lectures, anything can be used towards good or evil ( in the sense of negative/destructive ). In Lecture 12, this passage on war is a reminder of our collective responsibility .... "Each thought of hate, of separation, of egoism, of injustice, of discrimination, of wanting more for oneself than for one’s neighbor, in short, each thought that breaks God’s laws, is a building block in that enormous spiritual structure-war-which must first be formed in spirit before it can manifest destruction on the material plane. If only a small part of humankind sowed the seeds of peace, wars would not exist, in spite of a few unscrupulous politicians. Most people, including you, my friends, harbor thoughts of anxiety, and if not thoughts of hate, then of mistrust and separation, such as between one group and another-and all of these violate the law of brotherhood. Each thought of this kind, each emotion is a significant contribution to the outbreak of war."

Mr. Grannon: on the subject of the beginnings of the dynamic of "psychologization", I believe you would find the work of Philip Rieff to be of great interest. Rieff (author of "Triumph of the Therapeutic") was a professor at University of Pennsylvania and the main translator of Sigmund Freud into English in his day. Rieff came to believe that Freud's ideas, when disseminated outside of psychoanalysis into the culture as a whole, will inevitably destroy culture (broadly defined) as we know it. We should not to be judgmental! WE are biased, mostly. And, without great self-awareness, we won't be able to assess others' circumstances objectively. Being not judgmental doesn't mean you are not allowed to have an opinion and distinguish between good and bad. Being judgemental means to judge someone's appearance, expression, living condition, by their education, marital status, nationality, etc. without knowing wider aspects that contributed to the "first plan" (visual portrait). Professionally, I carry unbiased, non-judgemental assessments. What means, I explore all aspects of the case and lay evidence in front of the judge to judge's decision. Judge judges on the base of comprehensive UNJUDGEMENTAL, unbiased assessment, and its evidence. Hope in makes sense. In short. Being judgemental is not the same as judging (arbitrate). "Judgmental" is pejorative, it's short-minded perspective.
