I would pick #2. Because of it is detached, has plenty of yard/garden & the view was really nice. It would be all yours too. It is a little plain but shutters could be added & some decorative touches would help. Thanks for showing us available properties in France.
I have always loved looking at real estate.. I have bought and sold so many "fixer uppers" here in the USA.. I would love to live in France. My ancestors came from the Normandy area. Thanks for sharing. I like house #2..
Seems like you're taking over the 'Dailies'!!!, which by the way, is AWESOME! Such a treat to see 👀 your videos every day! I'm learning so much about France 🇫🇷 and hope to visit there someday...🤔🛬🪂🛣🌄Hopefully we can get some 🐟 🐠 🎣 fishing in at Uncle Lee's lake!
Good morning ❤ That’s fantastic news for the replacement windscreen 🙌 I absolutely love reality number 2 .. I’d definitely live there if I had to choose out of them all 😊…such a perfect peaceful place ❤❤❤❤❤
HI Ryan, I think touring some homes would be a lot of fun, and of course, we love Brocanting with you as well. I am so happy about the wind screen. Good news.
Agreeing with many others who have commented - like #2 best. Personally I would hate being so close to the street as some of the others were and with little or no garden. Hate apartment living - did it once and never again if I can possibly help it. I’m big on privacy and space. So definitely #2. I have to say I love hearing you speak French, even if if I don’t understand much of it. Can’t get over how you can sound so English and so French!
Ryan explained he's leaving in France from 4 years old and his family is obviously speaking english so he's living in both english/french linguistic worlds.
Hi Ryan, so happy you can get a new windscreen for just 100 euros instead of 700. Good job!!! I love watching your real estate videos. Number 2 property is the best for you. I know you want a garden, and that house could be forever. It amazes me how inexpensive many properties are in France. xx
Hi Ryan I loved the house house with the large garden and the field across the street ❤ . I'm so happy you're able to get a new windshield through the insurance for cheaper! It all worked out.
Theses are really interesting videos! Thank you Ryan! Loved the original staircase, and the black & white tiles in place #1, love # 2...good value for money...oh the beams!.. basement and garden and privacy! love you lots from Phoenix Arizona ❤🏜️
Great video, buying a property without a mortgage or loan is they way to go, especially in this day and age. Live within your means and you will have less stress in your life. Thanks for sharing what you've found, I really think the single house with property looks like it has potential to be a nice home and a good investment. Happy to hear your car will be fixed. Cheers until the next video.
Hey Ryan! Interesting! ... one thing I'd point out is in the first place you showed, some of those photo's seemed to show some mold & mildew on the walls, etc., which would suggest there is a leak somewhere. It might not be the roof, but, it could be, lets say, the windows or some other crack or something in an exterior wall.
Indeed. The stains behind the peeling wallpaper suggest damaged flashing on the chimney stack. Once fixed its fine. Freshly black lines there suggest it needs doing. White vinegar kills that mould.
No on #1 - not detached and too much mold/rot and remodeling needed. #3 is smaller and #4 is in someone else's building. So with these choices, #2 wins although I think you should keep looking.
Like so many of your loyal viewers, I love watching your property searches. #2 is also the one that I feel has the most appeal! Good luck with the saga of the windscreen!
Nice properties. Interesting "creepy dolls" lol. One of those Parisian antique shops you and Billy visited had a creepy doll in an upper niche. Good news about the windshield replacement. I must say, you have mastered the French language.
What a relief about your windscreen. Very happy for you. I’m not in with everyone else in the opinion about the houses. I think house 3 would be the best. It had no worn tiles or black mould. Houses 1 & 2 had those. House three looked the most sound. The 4th looked wonderful but I don’t think you want to live as close to people. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe.
I loved the country house with the garden and field views! That would be my pick 💯. I don’t think living separated from nature is good for wellbeing. One needs fresh air and greenery with some wildlife ❤
YAY about the windshield! Awesome! Very happy for you! Happy house hunting. I took a few years before I bought my home I am in now. I know the struggle, I paid cash as well.
So glad you got the window screen sorted. Love to hear you conversing in french now and then. If you had an apartment you could live and enjoy furnishing it for a while and dream the dream. But you could also live in one of Billy's apartments as well and upcycle a few bits for later when you do purchase your own .
Interested in learning more about the Chateau. Is there any way to get more details regarding a kitchen and other plumbing details. Thanks for the upload Ryan.
Glad to hear you’ve got the car sorted out and you’re able to get the car fixed at a decent price. I’m surprised though that they can’t fix it because the could be fixed here and you would be hard pressed to see where it was. They use a liquid material. Anyway cheers looking forward to seeing more real estate. 💕😊👍🏼🇨🇦
I’m so pleased that you have been able to claim on your insurance 😃. I love that you are showing property that is available so cheap to renovate I would love to buy in France just need to persuade my husband lo 😊
Glad your windshield is now sorted. Where I am, the windshield are a separate part of insurance. There's so much gravel cracks that finding a car without them is next to impossible. The little country house was my favourite.
Nice choices. Thank you for sharing. I did not know there was such a wide selection of highly affordable homes available. Leaves money for remodel and updates.🙏❤👍💕😊
Wow that last place was really lovely. I would enjoy seeing you walk around that place. I am glad your windscreen problem worked out. Sometimes staying calm and carrying on pays off. 🧡
Hi Ryan! So happy to see you looking at more French properties. They are all very nice, but I am more partial to the adorable property #2. I much prefer the quiet countryside and the house could be so super cute with a little TLC. Thank you for sharing this with us. I'm also thrilled you're getting your windshield fixed at a much cheaper price. Less than a 100 euros is definitely a bargain compared to the nearly 800 euros you thought you'd be paying. What a relief, right?! Looking forward to your next video. Love ya lots, sweetie pie!!
i like the first one open plan and spacious with some unique features still there but it would have to be the 2nd one, the house with garden and pump. plenty of ideas for that one, if i had the money 😂😂
LOL I was going to tell you to jump on that last property for that price until it turned out to be just an apartment. But still if someone was looking low maintenance and no yard it looks good! Glad you were able to settle your windshield issue. Sometimes insurance companies do have a heart! LOL Trust me, I used to work for one and they were sticklers for denying claims. Happy days! See you soon! 💚
Hey! I think the use of go pro lookin atcha from the dash is a very cool idea!! Different kinda view and content, not quite a ride along but we went with!! 😁🥰🥰 Another ride along thru french countryside in spring would be sweet!! So yes! Let's view a property!! 😄😄😊
These real estate videos are great fun. Fair prices but betting the renovation might be expensive 😅 Beautiful part of France. Glad your insurance is going to pay for the replacement wind shield . (or wind screen) as you call them in the UK and France😊 Thank you for taking the time to share your adventures with us. Take care. 🤠🙋♀️🇨🇱
Yay on the new windshield! Dump trucks and construction vehicles always kick up rocks and have cracked my windshields and one time my sunroof. We can’t have cracks because it gets so hot here that you can come out to a completely shattered windshield!
Hi Ryan, I’ve finally caught up with your videos having started a few weeks back to watch your journey so far! Love seeing you with your best friend Billy (your banter is great) and your family, especially your uncle Lee, he really is a star! Really enjoy your content and hope you keep it going! Lots of love, Gillian ❤
A couple I spoke with were negotiating the purchase of a chateau for 600K then discovered that the roof was shot and the estimate was 200K, the owners knowing this did not want to lower the price but the additional cost made the purchase unaffordable and once the chateau restored the total cost was more than the value of the chateau. You really have to love it or have a good solid plan for making it pay in order to make it viable.
Your French is just amazing! How you can change from English to French I think is wonderful. Are you French? Hope you get your windscreen sorted out. Is there no way that the person who did it would pay for it? Love the properties you showed us, my favorite was the detached house, as you would have it all to yourself, and no problem with folk above or below you, as there could be in the apartment in the lovely Chateau, and no one either side to worry about, as in the terraced house. Also, it had a garden, which would be lovely. Blessings to you from a sunny (for one day only) Devon, England, and Jilly & Madge the rescue greyhound. xxx
@SMGPoetryarts Such a wonderful gift to give a child, the gift of different languages, and when they are so young that they pick it up so easily, and think in the language they are speaking in too. xxx
Well, Ryan, I enjoyed this video, but even moreover, I’m so thrilled that your insurance is going to pay for your windshield! That’s wonderful news! You’re never going to get a château or manor house if you have to keep paying for windshields!😂. 💜🤗🤟🏻🦔🇺🇸
You need it for safety reasons, glad for getting your windshield fixed. These properties are nice and when adding your own touch to them it is still a great price.
living in one of the wealthiest counties in america (morris co., new jersey), i’m shocked at how inexpensive these properties are! looks like you’ve got an amazing selection to choose from, so hold out for the best! love your videos, but now i’m jealous 😫
That's great news about your windshield. It's too bad that the other driver can't be made to pay it but if you have to pay at least it's a lot better than the full amount. I liked the properties but not enough that I would want to own any of them. I look forward to seeing more as you go along.
So glad you managed to sort out your car windscreen and that the your Insurance company is foot most of the bill as it wasn't even your fault. Love you Ryan. X
So enjoyed the real estate tours. There is definitely potential in all the properties and the price is excellent. Glad to hear you got your wind screen sorted and it will only cost 100 euro. Woohoo! Until next time.
Ryan, just to say the ad didn't mention there is a kitchen, it written "espace cuisine", which is a kitchen area, basically the place where you can install the furniture and equipment. This is the modern little white wall you shown near the entrance of the flat. The number 2 looked very interesting, then need to be very suspicious about everything before engaging in serious papers.
In some European countries, especially Italy, owners would take their kitchens with them when they moved so that modern white wall in the flat is where you would install your kitchen appliances so those would be an added expense for someone buying this apartment.
I'm surprised they make you replace the whole windscreen. With all the glass epoxies on the market. I guess we are more relaxed here in the US. Because they fix the original glass "no problem" for stones hitting it, unless the crack goes across the whole window then it's replaced.
Hi ya...I am in Normady tonight...near you in Vire...Saint Lo...nice to catch up with. You.......and Billy...I will look at U,S Or France Craig's list....enjoying format of property's...miss the talks on Sunday
So Glad the Wind Screen was covered by Insurance. After All the Frustration, You deserve a Good Outcome. Always Enjoy your Content, where ever You May Be. You are a Good Egg! 😂. Especially enjoy your sign off. Love ya and leave Ya. . You are ever the Charmer. Best Wishes from rural Missouri, USA.
I really appreciate seeing the good mix of properties & congrats on the fantastic windshield news, it always pays to ask 🥳🎉 FUN FACT: Canada has just set a new 'foreign purchaser law' that states a $10,000.00 fine to both the seller AND buyer of Canadian condos, single fam. dwelling etc to non-Canadian investors. A multi-unit investment property or hotel etc is OK (I do believe) but home values are skyrocketing here, pushing locals out of the market, so they've clamped down on it.
Home renovation is a national pastime in Australia. Any Aussie would *kill* to get properties at those prices, then renovate and flip (we have no capital gains tax on principal place of residence). Get on it Ryan!
Ryan my lover. I’m so happy to be able to view your videos. Good your windshield is being replaced. Most of the real estate properties need a lot of renovations. Some are exceptionally nice. Well my darling I will see you in my dreams. Take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🙏❤️🌹🇺🇸🌞🕊😇🌈👍
farming season lots of windshields (US) get cracked. In NY we have 100% glass and they will repair it free. Since I threw 2 logs into the back window of my truck in one year I am glad they didn't black list me!
Much improved opportunities in the 50k range, nice. $500/month to live in a chateau sounds pretty grand compared to apartments even in cheap areas of the US.
Splitting the small 'chateau' into apartments was probably,y the only was to save it since its location doesn't seem very attractive. I love the design of its wallpaper. How many apartments are in this building? If it isn't well-managed, there could be problems with maintenance of the building's facade, interior and surrounding land. It's a NO from me for this apartment although I love the interior room that we were shown.
I was thinking about your windscreen when I sent that superchat the other day! Glad I get to help a bit, and you don't have to send the car to early retirement. 😁
Ryan, you're a young man and have time to grow into these larger places. At your age you should travel lite, which will allow you to do many other things than put all your money and time into renovating a place. I liked the condo in the last video for you. It's a good place to start. You've been frustrated and struggling with an apartment inside a self-contained building, do you really want to take on an entire house?
We live in the country in Iowa. Have a water well, someone is growing corn 🌽 in back of our place. When we moved in bats were infesting the top floor! Huge lightning ⛈️ and thunder storms 🌩️ Was 2 bedrooms. Refurbished it and now 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, one sitting room upstairs that can be used as a 3rd bedroom. I’m living in the old dining room. We had all 6 people living downstairs until my son was working on the top floor. Now they’re in an unfinished top floor and my bed is in the middle of an empty room-unfinished. All my things are packed in the barn. Ugh! Plus 3 cats and 1 dog! We paid $179,000.
