The video thumbnail made me chuckle and I’m still smiling. 😁

I feel for this guy. Squatting hurts my low back too. Even tho I’m quite strong in the squat. I’m always sore to the point of pain after squats. I only do the goblet routine you described in the video now. (Saw in a video years ago you made). For legs I do various single leg things, lunges, Bulgarian splits etc…

My current program puts squat into maintenance mode, and I’m being playful with them, doing whatever I want that day but doing it seriously. I started to work in Dan’s goblet squat/overhead squat drill with a kb and a broom handle. Buddy. It’s more taxing than you’d think and my body is learning lessons. Thanks to Dan.

Are there any anatomy resources for weight trainers? Years ago I saw a yoga anatomy video that indicated east European versus Celtic squatters can have very different range of motion capabilities due to bone structure, for example some hip sockets are shallow and others are very deep sockets noticeably restricting range of motion

I can only squat deep with my feet pointed slightly out, wider stance. I always thought that had to do my body geometry. I swam through college, 95th percentile seated height, wide shoulders long arms

Same case with me,even my body weight squat was not ass to grass, then I tried squat with 2 plates under my ankle ,now last week I did 2 set of armour building complex, now my ROM increased,I can do almost 90 degree, and I feel somthing in my quads.I can do 16 kg snatch, 16 kg double hand swing,16 kg clean and jerk. These exercise also increase my mobility,so slowly I increase my mobility...Am I correct sir??? KB'S are great tool..I feel awesome after handling KB for 15 min...l

Dan do you think double kettlebell front squats work the glutes as well as barbell back squats? I've steered away from back squats because of spinal compression and have just been doing KBFS subsidized with back extensions or glute bridges in the floor with an 80 lb. Power block across my pelvis. Do I really need additional glute exercises or will the double kb front squat cover it?

Different, yes, but it can work well. I think it is enough.

it rly depends on the individual's lower limb lengths and their relation to torso length. Thibaudeau talks about that, he's got some videos about that stuff here on yt
