i still dont understand how can someone be too fat. Okay if your little fat like 20 pounds over or something. But too fat like a pig i still dont understand that. If i would see myself in the mirror looking like a pig i would stop eating ASAP.
I agree that my daughter is mostly fat in her stomach, and I know that it can't be right she has PCOS, and I read that causes body weight to go to the stomach. Has anyone else had that problem?
@@user-ib3jn1vo9dMe. Try homeopathy. Helped me a lot. For years I was cured. Now it's come back (thanks to eating refined flour again). But I'm trying & struggling but still trying to be cured again. It's curable.
Also bear in mind that due to the way cadavers are processed, the tissues are dehydrated and the fat you see here has shrunk a lot and has less volume than when the person was alive.
No way! The heart is totally covered with body fat. No wonder we get heart attacks. Honestly, this video was a complete wake up call for me. Thank you for posting such a great explanation about visceral fat
Fat outside the heart is not what causes heart attacks. That is from plaque buildup within the blood vessels of the heart. However, all that fat on the surface of the heart would tend to make muscle activity more difficult and that could result in cardiomyopathy and potentially heart failure.
Same. Although your reaction was probably more measured than mine was (mine was the emotional equivalent of my skin literally peeling off my body and slithering up the wall)
I’ve heard that the most skinny person that eats unhealthy might look good on the outside but the inside they can have fat around the heart, lungs, other organs. It causes health problems. Visceral body fat is what really makes being obese a health risk.
Yeahh i am really skinny but eat bad a lot, not always. I love veggies and eat them regularly but i can also eat a whole large pizza by myself, i usually get veggie pizza only because i like it and well it is not that healthy if you eat a whole one lmao my second favorite is beef sausage pizza so yeah basically i consume a lot of fat. I am around 100 pounds, maybe 105 i hope since i was trying hard to gain weight and muscle for a while but then gave up. I think i have some fat in my guts, maybe not a whoole whoole lot but would not be surprised if it is more than i thought. I have been on a high calorie diet and monitored because docs thought i was anorexic but guess what i just cannot gain weight thanks to genetics a lot of my family is too skinny.
@@Alylonglegs well without surgery here's a few things you can try put your food on smaller plates go for a walk at least 3 days a week drink plenty of water eat lower calorie food to go into caloric deficit do all that and slowly work your way up to brisk walk for one two hours a every 3 days and you'll loose weight the whole targeted area thing is actually a myth
As an obese person, this video proves to me that I should change. Edit: I haven't lost weight, but I am trying to replace artificial sugars (candy....) with healthier alternatives (fruit....). And when I crave sweets I buy the ones made for diabetics (no sugar). I have also started walking a bit. I'm also working on listening to my body, instead of eating even when I'm full. There are many other things I want to do but I hope to see change soon.
uh, this is not the body of an obese person. all hearts are surrounded with epicardial fat. i mean it’s good to try and better your health, but skinny people still have this adipose tissues deep within.
If anyone is into anatomy, there is a HUGE difference in the autopsy of a person with an average build vs an overweight/obese person. It's surprising that obese people can live as long as they do with the internal damage. It shows how truly resilient the human body can be.
I think it's because society looks perfectly after them by paying for their health-costs. If obese people had to pay for all costs themselves which they cause, they would much early die (or diet instead).
This is the most motivated comment section I encountered. Yeah I think I’m gonna watch this everyday in the morning before I work out & before I cook dinner. 😳
most people have mostly subcutaneous fat (soft fat) which is not intrusive to your organs. this vid makes it sound like all the fat you have is suffocating your heart and lungs or something.
In april 2023 I weighed 345 pounds. Now, October 2023 I weight 302. +40 pounds lost because of 2 triggering events: I broke 2 office chairs in a span of 3 months (Jan-Apr 2023) and because I saw various visceral fat videos from this channel either on YT or Tiktok days later after the second broken chair incident. Both events rewired my brain and made me understand and acknowledge that I have a very bad lifestyle and I needed a change ASAP. If you are thinking that you need to change your lifestyle, I hope this video rewire your brain and trigger the change you want as it did with me.
This is so wholesome. I’m glad you’re working on yourself. Your comment can help inspire others to do the same and I hope it does. Much respect. You got this!
You got this dude. 💪🏻 It'll be tough and you will face several walls and mountains, but don't lose heart. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and you will get better.
I have wondered what a fat person like me looks like inside😢 you have answered that question. Like other comments, this should be shown to many people, even starting in grade school.
@@nickybritain3661 1. Don't eat after 19:00-20:00 because this is the time that your digestive system slows down. 2. Don't go to sleep right after eating. 3. Make sure to have three set meals every day. It doesn't mean that you can munch on things in between meals but don't just much only on crap throughout the day and the eat dinner late and go to sleep. (That is a recipe for exactly what we are looking at here.) 4. Make sure to have a balanced diet, and No it doesn't mean that you can't have the things you love, just have them in moderation not every single day, all day (for some). 5. Regular Exercise!!!! @magiccheeks 1,2,3 are false, learn some science and how the body actually works, the digestive system doesn't slow down after 8 pm, there's isn't a certain time where the body slows down and whatever you eat after that time gets turn to fat, it's just completely false . The fat that your body gains is because of the daily calorie intake that you eat everyday, if you eat more calories that your body needs the excess Energy will get turn into fat, it's that simple
This is exceedingly enlightening to find out that being overweight is adversely exposing our heart to be covered in unnecessary excessive fat. This information is prompting me to another level to avoid gaining unnecessary excessive fat.

I haven’t eaten at mcdonalds since 2009. Slipped up once in 2014. There are soooo many other choices for food. McDonalds is frankenfood, nutritionally inadequate, and EXPENSIVE. There’s no reason to choose mcdonalds over your health and safety!
The problem is that the visceral fat didn't just appear one day. Those fat deposits take years of bad diet and inactivity to build up to that level. Taking that fat from someone who is unhealthy isn't going to make them healthy, it'll just give them a fresh body to destroy.
Fat is something that's entirely controlled by someone, maybe take more care of your body. From past experience I've seen people who remove fat from their body through unnatural ways are lazy and end up regaining that fat later (like 10 months)
Or we could make healthy food more affordable and pay a living wage so families could afford to have fresh foods on that table, not just calorie dense shelf stable and frozen ones
And get glyphosate out of our diet so that our gut biomes will be healthy and will be able to absorb the proper balance of nutrients, feel satiated without overeating, and have more energy also.
Yeah! Let's remove food from our diet instead of changing the core of what we eat! No one could benefit from learning what a balanced, healthy diet looks like, we should all just restrict as much as possible. Oh, and forget exercise!
I'm classed as thin on the outside, fat on the inside. My visceral fat level is 14, the top level shld be 9!! That video is going to make me do something about it😮
I think that's what's referred to as "skinny fat". That happens when you have a poor body composition (can be fixed by building muscle). But Im still gonna put some money that this cadaver has excess fat in a lot of places
Yeah in those on keto diets. Keeps you looking slim but the high fat eventually builds up inside. I've been on a plant based diet for 2 years, low fat, no oils or butters and low on processed foods. All of my numbers are perfect, in the athletic range, visceral fat is a 1.
Eye opener bro! Doctors talk about visceral fat but as we cannot even picture it in our minds...😬🧟♂️ thanks! Please promote this..I'm sharing with a lot of people!
@@lohphatBig Macs have added sugar, especially in the bread. Sugar's added to almost every fast food, package food, and/or processed food. Food industry knows that the human body loves sugar, so they add it to everything.

Low carb= no energy Fasting = no energy and makes you more likely to binge eat Excersizing = good, duh, but you have no energy thus making it self torture Please consult a physician and a trainer and do research on how this shit ACTUALLY works
Been on a weightloss journey for 6 months. 43 yrs young, 6 foot 1, 240 lbs with signs of fatty liver/poor liver function😢 6mo later, down to 219 lbs and still going hard with 20 more lbs to go. I refuse to get sick and die from eating like shit, disease caused by my own ignorance. Life changing food choices and increasing exercise will save my life. If anyone is struggling with weight signs of fatty liver (visceral fat), you can change your circumstances, your liver can fully regenerate regardless of what doctors tell you-you just need to 180 your lifestyle, eating habits and sedentary way of life. Eat green, eat clean, eat protein.
50 yr old lady here and i also was diagnosed with fatty liver and did the same thing - joined a gym started lifting weights and 4 yrs later i’m in the best shape of my life better than at 25 or 30 and my bloodwork at my last physical is clean as a whistle- also reversed the fatty liver and got taken off metformin because i was also pre diabetic
It's very easy.. although you don't get to decide what kind of science is preformed after you've donated. Call your local hospital and they can typically refer you to who can help with after death body donation. They will ( in most cases from the # of areas I've researched) will also cremate and mail you the "remains" for burial or what ever of the family member once teachings are done. Typically with in 1 year. There is no cost for this. My dad signed up for this so my brother and I also don't have to pay for his body care.
Your liver stores 8 hours worth of glucose for energy and when its gone and you don't eat then the body takes the visceral fat and converts it into energy. That's why fasting or just not eating for more than 8 hours is very good for you
This is what weight loss commercials should be like. They should also mention calorie deficits cause a lotta people seem to think they just need to eat less but there’s more too it
You need to do sprints and cut carbs to target visceral fats. You need to release special molecules called myokines from maximum effort exercises to signal the body to burn this stuff. Endurance runners, vegans, people who eat carbs can be skinny but full of visceral fat. look up Sean Omara - he's dedicated his life to getting thousands of people to get rid of visceral fat... with MRI scans as proof. He's the real deal.
Jesus. Seeing this visually has done more for my determination to lose belly fat/weight than anything else. I can't comprehend an abstract risk of "heart disease", but when I see the organs just squished out from the visceral fat, I get the sudden urge to head to the gym!
lol, I'm pretty sure instead of stopping eating you should primarily change your diet, but probably eat less as well unless you're trying to get jacked or something idk.
Fat shaming isn't the answer, you gotta do more than just shame people. First of all, you gotta live with the fact that some people choose to stay unhealthy - as long as they don't make kids live their unhealthy lifestyle or harass those who prefer to be healthy, it's only gonna harm them. Family and friends will have to find support if they find it emotionally draining, and when the person potentially dies. For those that WANT to change, you can't just tell them "just be healthier". You gotta motivate them, help them. Give them advice. It's like telling a depressed person "just be happier", it doesn't work that way. You have to give them a little push in the right direction. Encourage seeking professional help (it's easier in a country where healthcare is free...). With small changes comes big changes, eventually. A person who wants to lose weight won't magically have the energy to do it if they're being degraded and looked down upon as "lazy" or "eats too much". Some people have medical issues or other reasons for having gained weight.
Shaming is not the answer. Being fat isn't a crime. Support, kindness and empathy is the way you treat people with health problems. Not your unkind attitude.
@@iclynnx Not true that it only harms them. It harms the cost of health insurance for everyone else, and their premiums don't up proportionally with their costs but instead everyone else pays more to subsidize their costs.
@@dudea3378 Is that an American thing or does it also occur in Europe? Because I'm from a country with free healthcare, basically. We have insurance but never heard anybody complain about fat people raising the cost...?
@@iclynnx “family and friends will have to find support if they find it emotionally draining. And when the person potentially dies” so… harming them? my guy if someone gives that little of a shit about how they affect their family and friends by dying then there is something wrong with them
My visceral fat measurement is in the green. I have loose stomach muscles due to pregnancies. It was such a relief getting those results but I am still working hard on my core in regards to muscle and fat.
I just learned that the text bellow the title of the short that starts with a little arrow actually takes you to the full length video. Thought I'd share that here.
The thing is, what is junk food? Any food is bad if eaten too much of. A burger every now and then isn't gonna ruin your body, even if they're considered "junk food". People's bodies also work differently. Some gain weight easier, some find it harder. And then there's people with eating disorders. Imagine what it'd do to people who think they're "fat" but are already thin as can be. They'll lose their appetites more. Eating should be enjoyed, not feared.
And I will tell you this too: eating a varied diet of fish, chicken, vegetables and soy-based ingredients of too much quantity will still make some people gain weight, the same way too much pizza and burgers will. It's about quantity, and variation. Eat a healthy meal most days, not too much, and then sometimes enjoy a fatty food like a greasy pizza. And of course, lifestyle is important. 15 minutes of movement a day, minimally, is recommended.
@@iclynnx with the exception of some medical conditions which affect your hormones and make you hungrier and therefore less likely to resist your cravings, you have complete control over how quickly you lose weight because you have control over your metabolism. If you exercise, sleep enough, stay hydrated, eat whole foods, and maybe drink some tea, you’ll boost your metabolism. Junk food is food that is made like crap and makes you feel like crap. Full of refined sugar/carbs, trans fats, chemicals/preservatives, and/or excess sodium. Eating five Big Macs vs five homemade burgers on whole wheat buns would not even come close to being the same in terms of being unhealthy. I truly don’t think you’re stupid. So asking what is junk food and trying to compare it to real food is a bit ridiculous. Eating is not just for enjoyment, it’s to fuel your body. Is it nice to enjoy your food? Absolutely. You’re right that you can enjoy junk in moderation after healthy meals. Even then, junk food is literally addictive. It’s best to avoid it for the most part
@@iclynnx easy. Unhealthy food is food with extremely imbalanced nutrition. Example: A food with 40g of fat and 3g of protein. A food with 1400 mg sodium and 220 mg potassium. A food with 60g of sugar, all added
Exercise is the better solution. Activity actually causes increase in hormones that take visceral fat and turn it into subcutaneous fat. Ever wonder why sumo wrestlers are so healthy and athletic despite being so big? It's because the intense training they do ensures most of their excess calories are stored under their skin instead of around their organs. Dieting can help some people, but most people benefit more from adding some exercise to their routine. Even a half hour daily walk helps immensely.
@@raerohan4241this is good advice but diet is just as important. You shouldn’t “go on a diet” you should just commit to changing your diet. If you eat like crap you will feel like crap no matter how many walks you take. Gotta do both
@@Lubin-md4mla gross misconception. the body does produce DMT, among countless other hormones and neurotransmitters, but only in applicable amounts. recreational drugs flood the brain with excessive and dangerous amounts of these substances to either directly overload the synapses with substances, inhibit production of natural inhibitors allowing build up of substances in the brain, or force the body to produce excess substances. it would take hundreds of humans pineal glands secretions to gain a high, much less in the body of a dying person.
