Finally, someone else recognizes the greatness of the colorless Eldrazi commader decks! At my LGS, people were always surprised by my colorless Eldrazi deck. It makes me very happy!
@@CoreysCards the best part is sneak attacking the lesser titans that don't have on cast triggers but still annihilate and having like 20 combat steps. Bonus points if you have Tergrid/It that Betrays so you steal their whole board after the saccs
I almost never think about eldrazi. and then one hits the table and i can't stop thinking about how to answer it. and the answer is "you don't because the person who played the eldrazi is either playing Kozilek or they're in blue"
With the witch players, they simply buy their cards in bulk, then put the valuable cards in their deck (like colossal dreadmaw) while they eat the junk cards
here's a little insight to the typical colorless player thought process: ok tern 1 rmap turn 5 rapm tern 57 i em 1 hp but funny tentacle mind control thing heheheha
Gotta love colourless. Favourite way to play is 20 mana rocks/dorks, like 39 lands and Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as commander... draw 4.... they will always remove him... but the mana is always there.... draw 4.... repeat.
The only negative to Eldrazi is that Emrakul, Aeon's Torn is banned in commander so I can't use the big girl as my commander in my commander deck and it makes me sad.
That's why the design team went out of their way to make sure 'Emerakul, the promised end' would be commander legal. There's an article about it somewhere. They wanted Eldrazi players to be able to use all 3 titans in commander.
@@nicoruppert4207 Moral? Grixis is more Moral. I'd even go so far as to say that Golgari is more moral. Only Orzhov, Azorius, and Dimir are less moral than Simic. I say that as a former Simic Player. Moreso as someone who loves the superfriends kind of decks, however, I ain't like other Superfriend players, I like Monored superfriends.
As someone who recently got into MtG and immediately went to build a colorless Eldrazi tribal because I'm a huge Timmy, the end of this video was pretty much my exact thought process.
Colorless is definitely a color except when the card say protection from a color or choose a color and it has protection. Then colorless all of a sudden magically becomes colorless.
literally any time a card mentions colors, it does not include colorless, because colorless is never a color. theres more examples than just protection ya know.
I know its a joke/spoof vid, but your defense of colorless being a color could have easily been explained with Kozilek, who actually demands he be cast with 2 "Colorless" Mana.
And an other interesting fact about Colorless, Emma the OG Eldrazi is banned in cEDH, that's how good Colorless is. It doesn't need colors to get on the banlist.
And to add on to that, before wotc adopted EDH into commander, the players also put her on the ban list. We played stuff like recurring nightmare and not get upset, but emrakul is just too busted. Even back then.
@@methyod Exactly. Blue works with Green because Blue gets you more Green, and says no to people saying no to your Green. Really, this is just proof that Green is even better, since it has the power to make Blue okay
I love colorless it feels like a secret option, make you feel very unique for choosing to only use colorless. also that VOID MASTER aspect of it is very cool very lovecraftian.
I love colourless, it's just kind of a fun grab bag of stuff and that's great. Ugin the inffible was my first planeswalker and we used to play basically planeswalker commander so I made a deck around him and it was fun
the best part about committing to colorless life is that your lands can be good and cool instead of worrying about what mana they can give you the worst part about committing to colorless life is that it costs you like 10 mana to get rid of a single 2/2 annoyance creature
WUBRG is definitely my favorite color combination. My superfriends commander deck nicknamed "The SuperSitters" because the commander is the child of alara and all the planeswalkers have been tasked with baby sitting it... They do a terrible job it usually blows up ever match. But my other WUBRG deck was my Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck... And well. I mean its dragons. Whats not to love about dragons!!! So you take Scion and it is all the dragons!
As a devoted Yidris Goodstuff player, that path to exile killed me. Literally 20 cards in my OG deck give protection or evasion to my yidris and IT JUST DOESN'T HELP!!!!! So instead, I rebuilt yidris so it plays like gruul and dimir put together, as in I make boss monsters that are scarier than Yidris so you can't afford to kill Yidris, then I use Yidris and I just stsrt exiling cards from the top of my deck to play for free. And of course I have the ramp of green, the buffs from red, the removal from black, and the deck filtering from blue. At which point I say "go ahead. Do it if you dare, you don't want me to get another land I promise you." This deck is literally build up for 4 turns, then EXPLODE turns 5-6. This is bad for commander format for many many reasons. But its hilarious and fun.
WUBRG best combo. I still wish I had pulled a second Tiamat so I could make a deck centered around here. . .instead she's a secondary commander for my Ur-Dragon. And Jodah (both iterations) is so much fun.
My favorite edh deck is my kozilek the butcher deck. People keep telling me to run the new one, but annihilator is my favorite trigger in the game, and it goes infinite a lot easier with the butcher as the commander. I'd like to hear from others though, which one would you rather run?
I'd argue that out of the original 4-color precons, the Saskia deck was the most lackluster in terms of design. I like the color combination though and am currently rocking the Universes Within Wernog+Elmar partners 👌
Green carrying the other 4: S tier Blue preventing your stuff from being countered by countering their stuff that counters your stuff: B tier Red and Black going negative, stopping Green from carrying the other 4: D tier White doing slightly less than usual chained to the other 4: F tier
I ran some numbers on the final tier list out of interest, and it turns out on average Noah's favourite colour is red. Going by pips alone, and ranking a pip in S tier as 7 points, down to a pip in F tier as 1 point, we actually sum them up as follows: Red- 81 Green- 77 Black- 59 Blue- 55 White- 48 I think Noah must have been very upset by what Selesnya, Abzan and Bant did to Green so the average is way down, but the combinations of red with colours he doesn't like were a lot more forgivable. Perhaps that's an explanation as to why he has betrayed Green.
What about my Atraxa deck that is built from scraps that I already have in my collection and stuff from booster packs? I mean, I'm pretty broke, but I have been lucky. It can be surprisingly fast, and the only other reason I use Atraxa is for the fact that it has proliferate and 4 colors.
I am struggling to tell if putting Alseid of Life's Bounty in at 8:13 was a genuine mistake or another part of the joke. Because you can 100% get protection from colorless... Because it's a color (I mean unless MTG arena has been tricking me for the past few years.)
I do actually not like green but mainly cause it feels like every time i try to build a deck with it, it devolves into like only one of three things. Counters, Tokens, or Chunky. Thats it. like every i try to add green in, green basically wants to do just one of those three.
It's not really the color that I hate, it's more if I face an aggro deck or a hard counter deck. I play slow decks with lots of creatures, so either I don't have time to play or I can't play XD
Hey Noah can you look at all of the colors of MTG and make new 4 color combinations and names for wizards of the coast to make and have wizards of the coast to make commanders of each those 4 colors?
You once did a really cool Video with a higher seriousness. I really liked that. So you think there is a was that you would so something like that again and to find a way to mark your Willy stuff and the serious stuff thst we can distinguish them?
looking at this list, I think a new special category for (wu). (wb) can be redeemed by any color but blue, but (wu) can only be redeemed by being 4 color.
My friend's newest deck is a blue one, and I don't think I can play with him at all if he uses that deck. ALL it does is spam tokens and keep me from playing anything except lands.
I feel like they should make colorless a color but with a catch. If you have color on your commander, it's ok to have cards that have only a generic cost in their CMC. However, if the card has the colorless symbol in the CMC, you can't use it in a color deck. Lands that produce colorless will still be legal in color decks.
