I hovered over the timeline to see if this will be the last battle or not. I saw them in a shop and then in combat with vaporeon and two dragons. At the end of dragon battle Sophist had 2 gold. Needless to say I was suspicious.
I love despite it being very subtle, Noah got slightly more and more annoyed at the dragons that he started to subtly help the team beat them just to get it over with.
Yeah, subtly. Out of the ever beeping blue, the dragon that was about to kill vern and nick just decided to join them, killed a dragon, became blue and gave them the luck they needed. Edit: oh. It betrayed them. LAME! Edit 2: Grammar.
I love how on first glace, Brent seems to be the boring character, without much going for him, but then he gets double enrage, and dual wields an axe with a fire sword, and suddenly he's the most capable member of the team. Unlucky with his rolls at first, but by the end he's mincing enemies and tanking damage like a champ. Sophist is the craftiest member of the team, using the environment to his advantage, but his chaotic decision-making and propensity to blow all his resources in a single massive attack makes him the team member with the highest variance. He's just as likely to murder orphans or damage his friends as he is to insta-kill a superboss. Nick is the most athletic, and tactically sound member of the team. He has a good head on his shoulders, but a bad eye. His high number of resources and his safe choices makes him the foundation that the team operates on. And if Nick is the foundation, Vern is the glue. Sophist and Nick are squishy, and Brent is unlucky. Were it not for Vern, bad habits (and bad rolls) would have wound up killing _everyone_ on the team. And last but not least, Gobby's incredible strength and loyalty, plus his hidden ability to erase entities came in clutch. You might not have seen it, since it happened so fast, but there were actually 20 other dragons that Gobby erased before they could spawn in. And then he even makes the ultimate sacrifice, losing his life before pulling a Papyrus move and turning a dragon blue posthumously, thus giving it a weakness to fire that unfortunately the team did not capitalize on. He even nudged Brent's rolls from beyond the grave, like a guardian angel, to allow Brent the power to attack the Ice Dragon's weak spot. Truly, Gobby was the most important member of the team.
@@username5155which is why their group has such an amazing dynamic with Noah because each of them acts in a different way. Like Vern is always playing by the rules and trying to be nice, Nick tries to go around or overwhelm the gimmick, Brent just throws himself at most problems and Sophist just Sophists

When Sophist kill one person he gets giant amount of dark cursed energy, but when his cursed energy ends he making an explosion of shadows around himself turning everything dark, his Domain Expansion giving him infinite shadow wheel rolls where he can get shadow cursed energy
one of my favorite parts is whenever a creature casts fireball, the fireball shows up and covers the entire screen before being sized down to the target. Really adds to the fireball’s dramatic flair

@@angelodavidmarabolivarela9505 With my party, we always get awful rolls in battle, so much so, we've reached a point where if we wanna do anything cool, we roll first and then say what we do instead of the classic "I jump up, bearing my axe in hand ready to split the dragon in two, and... COMPLETELY MISS!" And then we get consecutive 20s for stupid out of combat exploration stuff. I got so many nat 20s jumping over tree branches and small gaps, I ended up adding "formerly worked in a travelling circus" to the backstory of my dwarven cleric.

@@jonathanwells223 I've had I believe 1 character who ran MM, and soon after gave up on it. It's a fun gimmick, but my character at that time was a sorcerer cleric who was twin casting inflict wounds to rip apart Merrow and Eblis with my bare hands and create max damage lightning fireballs. Let's just say an upcasted fireball infused with lightning and maxed out with storm cleric's ability is a lot harder to miss than Inflict Wounds.

Then I saw the sister crying and shaking, unable to move as she's targeted by fireballs from a freaking dragon, while overhearing strange shouting and a discussion about how protecting her can wait "a turn".

Little Girl needs a phase two- she needs to be one of those characters with an incredibly easy first phase form, but the next is incredibly difficult and potentially unfair

I'm aware that the production quality is already disney level but it would be cool to see more castable buffs and status effects like for example confusion, poison, iron skin, diarrhea. It's amzing to see what you created with just a view self-drawn figures and landscapes, keep doing what your're doing.

I like how the first encounter was a little girl, the second was a demon and a hydra, and the third one was FIVE DRAGONS. (Technically two plus the dragons that were bought)
Man.this video popped up on my reccomended feed and i am so fucking glad it did. I never laughed this hard in my entire life. Sophist is my spirit animal. The sheer chaos he caused trough this whole thing was amazing and i loved it! "I CAST AAAAAAALLL MY THUNDER SPELLS!!!!!"
I think this healed my attention span to max. I try not to watch shorts or any kind of attention destroying content, and this is the best thing i've watched today (it's also the first thing) fun to watch and a medium lenght vid. Keep it up.
A great idea would to make the wheel meaningless, and base the encounters and luck purely off how the players react. It would confuse them, and be funny.
This is legit hype. It’s clear by now that Vaporeon is the BBEG, and Sophist is her arch-enemy (making him the main character). The other three heroes have all unlocked their extra-skill items (Electric Dagger, Demon Sword, Hat). It all comes together to set up Sophist getting a massive upgrade next time.
This is the best DND squad: Sophist the Chaotic Wizard/Mage Vernias the "helpful" Healer TcNick3 the Swift and Stealthy Rogue Brent the Barbaric Tank(with snacks)
