Hi Amy! This video just popped up so maybe it's a sign 😊. I've actually had a dream of starting my own youtube channel for a couple of years and my goals are very similar to yours. But there have been all kinds of hindrances in my mind & physical reality: I have CFS, I'm not skilled technically, I have fears of being too old (I'm in my 40's), not pretty or thin enough (I know it's silly but it's still in my head), being afraid if it is safe to put your face in the internet etc. But I still would like to do it. I followed a small youtube channel a while ago quite intensively, it was about healing from trauma, building a new life etc. It was brilliant and gave me so much inspiration & support. But she has stopped updating the channel - because she got her life in order and didn't need the channel anymore, which was absolutely wonderful to witness. I would like to do something similar in my own way, although I can't be sure of the outcome, but I would like to share the process of doing my best to heal & just share some of the millions of thoughts I have in my head. Anyway, I hope someday I'll have the courage & energy to do it. Thank you for reminding me. I subscribed to your channel. 😊

Hello! This message means so much to me 😊 thank you so much for sharing! I understand all of the hesitations you have and I think they’re common. When I start to get uncomfortable about doing it, I keep coming back to why I started. There is something in me that has always driven me to share my story, my experience, and to be vulnerable. Yes, there will be people who judge and are mean, but they aren’t my people and they don’t stick around. Plus I can block them! There are so many people who came before me and shared their stories, often times saving my life. 💛 I love that you found that channel that meant so much to you! I know you would be able to give that feeling to someone else if you started your own channel. Maybe start by filming yourself on your phone, even if you delete them after. I was so uncomfortable! But I’m so grateful I’ve kept going, I know I’ll say the same when I look back at my current videos. Thank you so much for being here, for sharing all of this, and subscribing! It’s very inspiring for me. ☺️ PS- I’ll be 40 in two months (I can’t believe it lol)… you’re never too old! 💜

I recently hit 1000 subscribers and this popped up on my homepage and I feel exactly the same way! Being new and a beginner and 'bad' at something when you start out can be so scary and my channel also encouraged me to be a beginner at something. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Being a beginner can feel so uncomfortable but I don’t ever want to look back and see all the things I could have done had I just let myself learn and stumble. I am on newly RU-vid with another channel but going out fully on my own is exciting and scary in to a brand new channel where I'll be wholly on my own. I am physically getting it all ready so that the lighting and background are good enough. Going on a trip (a bucket list city!) this coming week, then I shall fully begin to record. Excited for you! (And me! lol)
