Would not work, because I didn't buy the upgraded version of the plugin. You have to pay pay pay. The Wordpress world is full of paid plugins, which require you to pay again and again. This is one thing I really don't like about Wordpress. Wordpress was supposed to be an open-source solution, but it's really not. I was under the impression that this plugin would work for me as a free plugin. I guess not. Here's what I did. I downloaded my back-up. That worked fine. When I tried to upload it by using Import, it didn't work. The file was too big, so I uploaded it using FTP. That worked fine, and then I tried to restore, but then got a message telling me I had to pay to use that feature. Great! Another waste of time using plugins that don't do what I've been led to believe they can do. :(
hello , I have the same prob here . please if you already have the solution of how to restore a backup without using a paid plugin , please tell me .thank you
When I click on restore, it tells me I need a paid version. What a waste! I had created my website from the local host hoping to migrate it using this plugin because I had seen your videos!
I guess I need an FTP video as I got lost when his FTP platform was already up and going. Not sure how he got there! It's been awhile since I used FTP!
this tutorial is recommended by worpress when back ups don't work... but someone like me, who doesn't have the basics, can't figure out how to access folders to make changes...
You say 'we're going to upload this file via FTP directly to the backups folder' 'very easily' without giving any explanation of how to do that - what is FTP and how do you access it!? You just jump straight to it in the tutorial with no explanation. Absolutely useless for someone who doesn't know what FTP is and how to access it...
First I tried importing the website at 63.37% and it crashes, then I tried the Backup/Restore option and now tells me "The archive file is corrupted. Follow this article to resolve the problem". Failed again. First time that I use this plugin and will also be the last one. For sure it won't recommend to anyone.
So I had to go this route but when click to save changes for the permalinks we received error... " Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 311296 bytes) in /home/content/72/10626172/html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/params/iconpicker/iconpicker.php on line 2592"
There's no mention of the installation package that is required for purchase. Am I missing something? I built a site with local by Flywheel and I've been trying to import it to the hosting server but no success so thought I would try this. When I tried to use the backup I was informed that a fee has to be paid. Can I ftp the the "import site"?
Any help will be appreciated, I have done the exact steps but the wpress files not showing in (backup) plugin to restore while the file is already in ai1 wm-backups in ftp.
But my database is not restored... Please solve the problem... Active mu-plugin... But after active mu plugin, restoring database 0% even after 15 min. Please help me and solve my problem
Thank you worked great........for some reason, after exporting my website, it was 6GB and even after deleting most image files, it made no difference. Once I got ftp to connect, this method worked great......just let it upload overnight. Thanks
I tried this way. My site is 5 GB. And I uploaded it in the backup.. but when I restore it stucks in 99% while retrieving the database.. what could be there reason. How can i solve this?
Reach over to the support team: servmask.com/contact-support this usually indicates PHP5 -> PHP7 incompatibility or a plugin/theme not compatible with the new hosting.
@@Servmask That s such BS- I spent all night working with Bluehost convincing them to allow a 6gig upload.. STILL DIDNT WORK.. so then I try this method and of course YOU HAVE TO PAY TO BE ABLE TO RESTORE YOUR BACK UP. So shady. You have people creating back ups this whole time thinking they are safe and then ou gouge them right whne they need your program most. SO LAME.
Absolutely like the plugin All in One Wp Migrate. I tried out to so praised Duplicator Pro - for which I paid 39 USD and which got me nowhere. Now I tried All in One WP Migrate and everything is perfect. Folks save money, just use this plugin - there is no need to pay a lot of money for something that wouldn't really work.
Thank you very much. This solved the problem very well. The only thing that didn't work was dragging the backup file into the folder. I had to use the Upload from the top menus.
even with the unlimited license, I've never had this successfully work on a larger migration. I love it for small sites, but big ones consistently choke.
hi sir thank you for your tutorial. When i follow your steps it says ""Restore" functionality is available in a paid extension. You could also download the backup and then use "Import from file". Help thank you.
Your comment is 10months old, so this is probably too late to help you, but for the benefit of anyone else... Once you have restored a site from backup, you will need to use the same username and password combo you used when creating the site you have just restored. For example if you create a WordPress site with username "heyitsme" and password "strongpass123" then use All in One WP migration to export a backup copy, then that backup copy will also contain the username "heyitsme" and a hashed copy of the password "strongpass123" So then if you install a fresh version of Wordpress on a new hosting account and during the install you choose the usernane "Itsmeagain" and the password "strongpass456" then you use All in One WP Migration to restore your first site from backup, then it will also restore the original username+password combo. Therefore in order to login and save your permalinks you will have to enter "heyitsme" and "strongpass123" not "Itsmeagain" and "strongpass456"
If you've never used an FTP application to transfer files to and from a server, you probably need to do an FTP tutorial beforehand. I found this one made specifically for Bluehost, but the instructions are generic and should work for any type of hosting account which permits FTP file uploads to your site's public_html directory ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_SWPJqN1SSc.html The FTP application in the video is Filezilla, which I also use and have just successfully used to restore my own WordPress site from backup in the manner described in the All in One WP Migration video here. First of all download and install Filezilla from the official site filezilla-project.org/ Once you have Filezillla installed on your computer, log in to your website's hosting control panel eg cPanel and look for the icon for FTP accounts. If there is not already an existing FTP user, create one and take careful note of the IP address, username, password and port number (it's usually port 21, but some hosts may use port 22 or something else) Then follow the instructions in the Bluehost video, I linked above to enter your credentials into the Filezilla site manager and try to connect to your server. Once you are connected, follow the instructions in the All In One WP Migration video above to navigate to the correct directory folder of your website and simply drag your .wpress backup file from your home computer's filesystem in the left hand window, to the appropriate folder in the right hand window. The file will take some time to upload depending on its size. You can check the progress and upload speed in the lower section of the Filezilla GUI. All of these sections are resizable so you can drag the dividing lines to get a better view of the particular section you want to focus on.
Great fix, thank you. I used FileZilla to migrate hosting via FTP. This overcame a discrepancy between exporting the wp file from PHP 5 host to importing and restoring via backups at new PHP 7 host. This incompatibility had been causing the upgraded extension plugin import function to fail when attempted through the WP dashboard, but the above video explains the fix.
No, you still need to login and install the plugin before you can import. The database will be changed and you will be able to login with the imported site users.
What a lifesaver! I noticed that almost all the haters who are bagging this superb software have not bothered to contact support or read the instructions. I too was having problems because of slow internet. I used the backup tool via FTP easily and it worked like a charm. I have used and purchased several cloning plugins, the worst and absolute crap BACKUP CREATOR paid plugin the best WP Clone which until last week was working perfectly. All In One is the best the smartest and the easiest to use. I am definitely going to buy the paid version.
Clearly a FAKE review as you need the paid version to restore any of your back ups which they intentionally neglect to make you aware of to hold your backups hostage. If you guys would have just been upfront about that..and charged a REASONABLE price.. you would still have me and many others as customers. These deceptive business practices are truly digusting when you know full well how much people rely on software like this. I cannot leave my livelihood in the hands of scam artists.
Why when i restore i found also new files created after the restore action? is possibile that theoverwrite action not delete really all that done after the backup? Thank You
Ove Nyström it was "onlinedeals.esy.es" this site . and want to move it to "darshanchandaliya.com" For now i made all changes manually. But i really move my data.
This worked beautifully. Better than any other plugin I've tried. I had to go the 'backups' route, but then it was completely successful. Thank you for the plugin and the tutorials.
