Been shooting the Powermax since it came out. Great bow for the money.

I shot a Powermax today at my local shop. First time I've shot a bow in over 30 years. My last bow was a Bear Whitetail 2! Needless to say, I was blown away by the bow. Will be picking it up next week. $800 out the door with the bow package, half dozen arrows, and a release. Looking forward to it.

I have the 2015 Hoyt Charger and I LOVE IT. All I did was add a tubeless peep, NEP Apache 8" Stabilizer, QAD drop rest, and 5 pin lighted sighting system and I'm good to go for the next 10 years. Super quite bow!

At 1:06 the archer in the tree loses a green fletching, you can see it fly off if you look really close and pause it just at the right time.

You do have to use a bowpress if your draw legth is 25.5 inches and you wanna make it 26. Hate this!!!! I love hoyt but this ticked me off since my bow shop is closed for a week and i need to adjust my draw length.

What is the draw weight of the powermax? Is it adjustable? A local dealer here in NYC told me that it doesn't go below 50lb.

Helena Bakula I dont know how strong you are, but if you train at home, gym etc. ( I prefer at home) then you can go even to the 70s.

@@brucejohnspeedster1626 .....you don't need a bow shooting in the 70lb....bows kill with cutting, not shock like a rifle. 70lb is way overkill poundage for a whitetail. It will cause struggle in drawing the bow back which in turn will get you busted by the deer, which leads to no shot, rushed shot, or poor shot.
