This helped my with an upgrade I had to do. Ridiculous the amount of work someone has to do just to upgrade to an SSD.

I have one and it's pretty good for what I need it for. I just use it for digital art and youtube.

Just thought I'd chime in: when you get to the HDD if you just remove the little USB daughter board to the right of the HDD the the HDD will easily lift out from that side.

Thanks for this! This model is my old laptop. The hard drive failed and I'm going to take it out and see if there's any hope of salvaging something, anything. It was an ok laptop, but definitely not worth it.

Hey Techboy I have one of these that was gave to me, that I rescued from a failed hard drive. BTW a failed HD seems to be a common problem on these also, with that resolved, my problem is there is a very majorly common problems with these that they will not output audio over their HDMI port. I have seen lots of forums with people never being told how to fix that and for the life of me, I can't cure that either. Techboy do you have any ideas?

It's not bad if you spill water on the 500 plus laptops the result will be the same. These last long enough if taken care of.
