Found a HP Compaq 6200 Pro for Cheap and decided to tear it down
and perform some simple affordable upgrades with new and used parts.
specs

all testing was 1080p high to medium settings.
benchmarking 4k not shown was 30fps gears 5 medium high settings.

Man, this is the 2nd new Ultra-Budget PC video I've seen today - great stuff! I love this sort of thing. Bryan over at Tech YES City did a 1st Gen i7 trash-picked system with a GTX 560ti for some 720p gaming (e-sports, mostly) and it runs a treat. So it was great to see you doing some recycle/rebuilds, too.

I have this PC with rx580 8 gb i5-2400 10 gb ram hyper t4 master cooler playing God of war high-original CPU is only 40-45 degrees lol and graphics card 70 degrees playing on 2k

What version of BIOS did you upgrade to because I have a 6200 as well and I havent upgraded past 2.28 because I have read alot of things about the computer takes about 20 mins to boot up if you upgrade your bios past 2.28, so if you know anything about this please let me know....what version of bios are you using on that particular pc

I have this exact system, except I have an i7-2600 , 16GB ram and a GTX 1650. It works perfectly fine even under full load.

Friend I try to put a graphics card model gt 610 1gb ddr5 on that motherboard and it does not give video (the pc does not recognize it). Do you know what the problem is? my english is bad so i use google traductor excuse me xD

Did this PC have the proper power connector for the 1050 ti or did you need an adaptor? Looking to put a GTX 950 into one of these. It's awesome to see the life of old PCs extended.

1050ti takes power from motherboard slot. Unsure if the non-standard psu has the correct connector for the 950. An adaptor might be needed.

Hi, I have a problem to install the GPU! Its. the same HP with intel core i5-2400, windows 10 pro 64 bit, 1 TB HDD, 8GB RAM, but the Zotac GTX 150 ti 4GB doesn´t work. I have blackscreen with the HDMI, device manager dont list the GTX- only onboard graphics. When I uninstall the onboard graphics and restart it´s still on! It´s also impossible to uninstall the graphics in BIOS- also BIOS don´t check the GTX. Do have an idea what the problem could be? Meanwhile i spent hours but it even don´t work.....

You could have reused the old 2gig sticks, then you would have 12gig,8 is pretty few for gaming nowadays.

I have this exact same system , only with a few better components , like an i7-2600, 16gb ddr3 1333mhz ram, 1.6TB storage, 64GB ssd AND a Gigabyte GTX 1650 Mini ITX OC 4G , yes it does work with a 320W psu and can even be overclocked!
