I remember my cousin was into competive pokemon and one of my favorite memories as a kid was using the blissey with counter he gave me as a kid at local school tournaments and against friends. With how long gen 4'a health went down, you could make them wait 30 seconds just to see egg mommy live with a focus sash then counter back to deal over a thousand damage
This isn't even that impressive. I'm not trying to downplay it, this is just an average Heracross moment. *_Average_* Heracross moment. *His potential is such that only beasts of the sky may strike him down.*
It's much worse in DP than in Platinum just because of all of the battle delays before receiving damage, sending out a Pokemon (the Pokeball just lays on the ground for a full second before opening in DP which always screws up the way the battle music is synced to the start of the battle), and probably even more delays.
@@PrincessMJ44 of course a game that's essentially dp is going to be good, it's dp, but the games are just a spit in the face to the remakes like hgss and oras which are some of the best in the entire series. maybe it's just the softlock that hit me in the spowpoint gym and sent me back 3 hours that got me a little salty
Violet is horrible just because of the ridiculous amount of pause and animation time you have to attend between two turns. It’s driving me crazy and I haven’t even finished the game yet.
watching their hp go down is like watching someting download back inte the day. Where you put ur mouse pointer just behinb the bar to check if its moving 😂😂
Lvl 54 252+ Atk Choice Band Heracross Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 0+ Def Blissey on a critical hit: 726-855 (101.6 - 119.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO If Blissey has no defense investment it can
FINALLY. Thank you I couldn’t tell whether it was eterna or celestic. Also I’m one of those people who got addicted to the clefairy slots and I hate that they removed them but I understand why.
There's a bug in gen III that can cause your health to underflow and effectively become about 65,000 and it STILL takes Gen IV Blissey longer to lose all its HP
I thought it was edited to go a bit slower for funnier effect but watching the original video... oh my god, i can't believe it really is like that 😭😭😭😭
Now let's take it to the next level: let's introduce DYNAmax on this game so Blissey doubles it's HP 😌 Then we could watch the whole extended Lord of the Rings trilogy while it goes down. Edit: Someone kindly made me notice it's not dinamax but dynamax, so I changed. The explanation for that is very simple: I'm from Spain and here it's named dinamax. But thank you for you help 😀
Me at 0:01: "Hmm, a typical no-physical-def-HP-tank Blissey versus a probably-decent-physical-attack-but-not-that-it-matters-because-it's-fighting-Blissey Heracross, which uses Megahorn... that's going to hurt especially if it's a crit."
Yeah it makes no sense. Only with max EV's into attack can it OHKO, otherwise even with attack boosting nature it needs +2 attack to have a 43% chance to OHKO with a crit, and +3 attack to guarantee an OHKO. Which isn't possible because this Heracross doesn't have stat boosting moves available. Pokemon from the Elite 4 don't have EV's at all, so this is just a plain level 54 Heracross, so it literally cannot OHKO a level 100 Blissey ever. Very strange.
I swear to god I still dont know how the settings in pokemon are so limited. The best you can do is disable animations. But if there was an option to make the hp bars go down instantly that would've made a much much bigger impact without having to miss out on the animations.
Bro what really gets me is why in modern 3D pokemon they can't 1. Have the HP bar go down during the move animation 2. Have the being hit animation chain directly into the fainting animation without the pokemon getting up, being like "lol I'm fine" and then falling over backwards to faint
