The 3rd DisplayPort is actually optional (though only configurable at the factory). Instead of it, there's option for either serial port, VGA or HDMI... Might want to go with HDMI if you'd like to use it as an HTPC.

Some crucial items are missing, such as the power brick. How big is it? What's the length of the power cable? And what about the manual and the other items that came in the box?

Can you tell me the HP part number for the usb c option board that replaces the display port module for a HP 800 G3 mini, also the HP part number for the HDMI option board that replaces the display port module for a HP 800 G3 mini. I could not find the part numbers anywhere on HPs support site.Thank you in advance.

Jesse Ω yeah but best do that when you order, as after market parts are impossible to find - I got a dp to hdmi and it worked 4K out no issues

Ohh I see, I figured HP would allow you to hot-swap it or something. I've been eyeing this PC for many months. It seems to be a good step up from the ProDesk 400, I get confused by so many slim PC's I can't keep up. Only thing that I dislike it upgrading RAM especially DDR4 due to price, this one can hold 32GB thats real good.

Question: Is this one mountable on the back of a monitor like the G1 version? Husband is repairing one in our shop, and looking to buy a refurb newer gen 3 per customer's second option if it's mountable.

Ryzen as it is cheaper but still get the same performance or better. The hyper-threading also helps with multitasking.

It may be good to know the subject matter when doing such a video. When stating for example at 1:15 "we've got USB-C" then moving to the other ports, what protocols are supported by this USB-C port? USB-C offers a wide range of "options". It can carry power, usb, displayport, thunderbolt 3 etc. Just stating USB-C is of limited use and can even be misleading. For example, many monitors have a USB-C input for the video signal, but this does not mean that you can connect them to a USB-C port of computer and expect it to automatically work. The USB-C port of the computer has to support video output.
