Nice review! Would you say its worth getting this printer over the older 4500? In the UK you can buy the 4500 for £37 while the 4520 is £49. Is there £12 worth of upgrade over the 4500? Thanks!
+Arkitekture That's a tough question to be honest. I guess it depends on what your expectations are from a printer. If you just want a solid printer that works well, the 4500 will work just fine. However, if you feel you absolutely need the newest and the best, the 4520 is your best bet. Either way, you can't go wrong.

Hi, I had a paper jam and my white plastic duplex piece "fell out" onto the paper in the tray and I can't get it back together. Do you have a video on how to put the duplex parts back together?
This looks as if it's just what I need. Easy to use and ready to go. I have a question though. Since I'm still in school it would be useful to know if I can scan books with it as well. Does the lid lift a bit to fit books under it as well? Thanks in advance!

I purchased HP ENVY 4520 printer also HP instant Ink ready in March 2017 and Activated this service it worked for a few months then indicated that the cartridges are not intended for use in this printer please address this complaint as soon as possible as I'm unable to use said printer
+nancy coutts With all instant ink issues you’ll need to reach out to HP and ask them to send you replacement cartridges. It seems to be a cartridge issue
My touch screen has stopped working on the bottom half . Eg I can choose copy and the number but it won’t let me press in black or colour to print . Also doing this on any other actions . Don’t want to replace it as everything else is working perfectly . Any ideas . Have unplugged etc thanks
Have HP Envy 4520 and has worked fine. Needed new cartridges and got 63XL which I have always used. Cannot move the cartridge line to insert the new cartridges. It appears to be frozen. I can barely insert the pink cartridge but need to insert the other cartridge and the insert line ill not move. I cannot print anything due to this situation. How can I get this insertion to move. Also when trying to replace all my sources say out of stock and are not replacing this printer. HELP! HELP!!!

It looks like the print quality is fairly decent on photos; is this the case? Specifically, I'm looking for a printer that can do professional (ish)-looking packaging labels (i.e. to insert into clamshell packaging) - on top of general home office use, of course.

+shak akther Are you using a USb cable or Wireless to connect the computer? First go to 123.hp.com. Type in your model number: envy 4520. And then download the entire software package. There is a setup wizard amongst that software, which should help you set it up step by step.

Yes it very good, but remember the glossy paper goes upside down. The shiny side is faced down. The prints are remarkable for photo. You MUST tell the printer when printing on page set-up that its Glossy paper otherwise optimum print is not achieved. Putting it the wrong way was the way I learned the hard way of printing photos!!
I happen to have a 4511 and the printer has full ink, brand new, and when I go to print, the computer it says it's going to print but just sits in silence, then prints out a blank sheet. Any suggestions?

+benroblox ftw Are you using Wifi or USB? Either way, go to 123.hp.com. Type in the model number: envy 4520. Dowload the drivers and installation software. Run the software and it should now work.
