I now have an epson Printer. I've had about 8-10 HP Printers so far an ALL of them developed issues with pulling in the paper. They just said "No Paper" because, well if I knew. The epson doesn't seem to have that problem. Still looking to upgrade again.
After watching your video last time I went and set up the program download the app and today I receive my ink from hp and try it out and I love it I printed some pictures on my phone look so amazing thank you so much
I signed up for the Instant Ink program and found it much cheaper than buying cartridges. However, after about 6 months of working fine, the printer gave me an error message and refused to print. I couldn't find any email address or helpline number to tell them what happened. The scheme is designed to operate automatically and counts the pages you have printed before sending another cartridge. If the printer cartridge fails you will never get another cartridge because the system is telling them that you haven't printed the number of pages you've requested (100 per month in my case). So I've had to return to buying cartridges. Why do these tech companies make it so difficult to contact them?
The automatic catch tray that comes out is awesome. The updated version of this printer 5250 doesn't have that, why they left that feature out I don't know. It's one of the best features especially if you're printing from away from home the prints will just fall to the floor and even when home if you forget to manually pull it out which happens to us all the time.
Keep in mind that you would be charged for a "page," if that page contained only character of print. For people who print lots of color photos, HP's INK program is probably good; the rest of us should be looking for the frequent discounts and coupons, etc, being sent by Office Deport, Staples, etc.
I have an issue with my HP Officejet printer. When I go to print a page off my laptop. my printer says its printing but not actually printing anything just a blank piece of paper. I tried looking up of how to fix it but it just doesn't work. What do I need to do?
If you scan multiple pages... does it scan the entire documents into one main document... OR does it give you options to break the pages into groups of your choice.. For example if i have 20 pages to scan...I want to break the documents into 2 groups of 10 pages. Can you do it??? PLEASE REPLY. Thanks.
Some people are saying "If you run out of 1 color, the printer will refuse to print and you will have to replace the tri-color cartridge, even if the other colors are full". Is this true or false? I would rather be able to print with a missing color, than to throw away ink.
Lon I haven't bought a printer in over 10 years, firstly because I try to run paperless when I can, and secondly because of the blatant price-gouging they do for ink cartridges. Could you review the newer Epsom cartridge-less printers where manufacturers make the effort not to be a-holes?
I admit that it's an interesting compromise however, I would still rather they just offered better pricing on cartridges... I mean seriously, ink is incredibly cheap for example if it wasn't then you couldn't buy a pack of say 10 pens for $1 at any general store or third-party ink manufacturers couldn't make money from selling bootleg cartridges at around $1 each, so if it were something like $10 for both black and color then I'd totally get behind that, $10 isn't too bad even if third-party ink or refils were still cheaper as it would be worth the added convenience at that point.
Interesting way to adapt the notion of cell phone minutes to metered pages printed. Have you done a review of chip pullers? They are used to defeat the built-in chips on inkjet cartridges so that you can use things like continuous ink feeding from external tanks, or defeat those chips so that you get the full print amount from each ink tank. A dummy chip is put in the place of the one(s) that was removed with the chip pulling tool. That dummy chip simply tells the printer that you have a full supply of ink all the time. For external applications you can just look through the semi-transparent bottles to see how much ink remains. Paying a monthly delivery fee has its merits. You return the empties to the manufacturer, they send you more supplies, they take care of recycling, and probably drain the unused inks into new carts for other people to use. Not as wasteful as tri-color tanks used to be.

I have a quick question for you How often shall I change the cartridges? I mean if I am not using the printer a lot can I use 'em for a year or so. or I have to replace them after a certain time pass while using them? Hope you got my question. Regards,
I just purchased this for half price since it's 2 years old now. But, the good thing is that Instant Ink is free for the life of your printer as long as you don't use over 15 sheets per month. Which I won't. I just need it occasionally for copying and don't want to go to a library or office supply center to make copies.
daniel akinrinlola, No, the $2.99 a month plan has 50 sheets of paper and you can roll over unused sheets for the next month. The free for life plan is only 15 sheets per month, no roll over sheets, but there's no monthly charge. See the link for additional information. Good luck!
Yes. More interestingly, if your black cartridge runs out, you can still print using the color cartridge alone (though it is very wasteful), since the printer will use all three colors to produce a "black" (more of a muddy green). But it might save you in a pinch.
Question about printing,I am going to need to print mixed paper size. From regular paper size to legal paper size how does that work. is this a printer that can do that?
With this ( HP4650 - Laser printer ) that I own one of them . How can I enlarge 3" 1 /5 X 5" 1 /2 Polaroid size pictures (( to a larger size -( 8" X10". ) OR. ( 8" 1 /2. X 11" 1 /2 ) What is the procedure to do that on this printer ? Is there a video I can go to -- To coach me through the decision on the printer screen ?

Did he forget to talk about faxing? It may be better to go to any other way to fax than use this machine. It will blow u away as to how slow it is and it will suck in 3 pages at atime
Can I print using the top paper tray?? (I have letterhead I want to print on occasionally, so I like to use a bypass tray.) Or is the top tray only for scanning purposes?
The top tray is only for scanning (auto document feeder). There's only 1 tray, and it's behind a little door. Gets annoying after a while of changing paper types. (source: own this)

If cartridges "call" HP servers to check if plan is valid before printing, does that mean printer is a useless brick and won't work at all without net connection?
+amaranthine firestorm that's what sounds like what would happen, it's what any type of online DRM usually does... I mean if it didn't, then you could just get the cartridges and then cancel the plan as long as the printer stayed offline thus defeating the purpose of the subscription plan anyway.
