Hello guys, This is Hp Pavilion gaming 15-dkxxx laptop. Recently it does not turn on. And I have found this charging port is a bit loose. So I thought, let's see if the charging port replacement does help to get the power back to the laptop.
I have placed an order for replacement charging port from China.
This video is long, and I kept it that way so that the beginner would be benefited .
Few tips.
1. Keep the screws organized.
2. Disconnect the battery first.
3. Pull out the RAM before you pull out the Battery.
4. Do not forget to disconnect and reconnect the cooling fan connector.
5. Make sure to put some thermal paste before you're closing back the heat sink.

What if my charging light still comes on,at first its orange and then goes white? Probably the charger itself? Or the battery?

Yea it's the battery just take it out and get a new one, they are $30 something online

hello sir. Can you help diagnose the damage to the laptop because if I take it to a service center I have to prepare a lot of money. So when my Pavilion Gaming 15 laptop is connected to charging it doesn't want to charge when the laptop is on, but wants to charge when the laptop is off. and when I removed the battery and connected it to charging it wouldn't turn on. please I really need help

Yes, but when you connect the charger with the new cable, the light should either turn red and then turn white or turn white all at once and it doesn't. it will be the bios

From which website did you order the port and does changing the port yourself voids the warranty? What was the cost by the way?

Why don't u go for SSD Upgrade first? It would help you to get better speed. Check the existing Ram model and details to get the right frequency and speed. Hope that would help. Thanks

Maybe your battery is dead. Try removing the battery and turn on the laptop with the charger plugged in
