I used to work retail selling tech, I spent a lot of time selling and learning the printers in that aisle, I became a bit of a printer nerd from the ordeal. along with laser printers, I genuinely like these refillable printers that are coming out despite the upfront cost (Most include multiple years of ink for many people), and I'm glad more manufacturers are taking up the prospect. It's a very prosumer design that I can get behind and support. Shaq sold me on them, and I'm never looking back.

The epson 2760 ecotank has no screen but it’s very friendly user, very few buttons but it works great

I have bought a Smart Tank Plus 555, which is probably the same product in a different colour. It kept whistling quietly when powered with energy, even without printing anything and no it was not the powering cable as i have tested it with a different. I have read this in quite a few reviews though. The hp support could not help either as they did not know the problem but it seems to be a frequently problem with it. End of the story i turned it in without even printing with it.

I am not surprised to hear that, I think HP may have just rushed this model to compete with the eco tanks and ultra tanks already on the market.

I just ordered it on a $120 discount (around $200, which is around $130 cheaper than the cheapest i can find on ebay, and $250 cheaper than the next cheapest i can find here in Norway). As long as it prints out hiking maps for cheap, it will be plenty good enough for my needs :)

Does anyone know how to set this to factory default. I was connected to Wi-Fi and now it’s not connected and it doesn’t let me connect it keeps telling me no networks available.

Can't you just connect to the IP address of the printer on your PC once you have it connected and do all the settings there. Every printer I have used or supported in the past you could do that.

But this is still ink, so it will eventually dry out if you dont use for sometime right? i think im better off with a laser printer who uses a toner instead of ink.

I am having difficulty with the printer it will only print using the USB cord and each time I request print my computer says its not installed I have installed it several times This is becoming a real headache

Print heads are still a problem. This is why I like toner but those can have their issues usually fixable by just replacing the toner.

The print head runs for years on HP. If they stop working, they cost about 30$ for both.

Thanks for Sharing. I've already purchased but notice that the printer keeps going into hibernation mode -which i cannot get out of without completely rebooting my computer - an absolute pain. I've contacted HP and Harvey Norman's where i purchased it new a couple of weeks ago but No fix available- I know it's only a setting (probabbly to make it more environmentally friendly) but cannot find out how to 'Wake it up' (currently saving YOUR Printer IS OFF LINE. Any help appreciated!

Does anyone know if you can Resize the Copier on an HP 7001. The spec sheet says you can copy anywhere from 25% - 400%, but I can't figure out how to do this. This printer does not have a control panel on the face. Thanks.

This is a really good printer ru-vid.comUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 . The reason I gave 4 stars for tech support (which I don't think this would classify as tech support) is because once you turn the printer on, it does require a little bit of start up time which may bother some who are in a hurry to quickly print something. To offset that though the printer prints very quickly. I would definitely purchase this printer again.

Very disappointing. The pricing is really bad and ADF scanner model is almost double the price of Brother's model without duplex scanning. Like whaaaaaaaat?
