It's kind of you to share info but I'd like to offer a correction. You absolutely can leave the scanner open and download or upload a tune. There is a function in the toolbar to release the com port. In the lower toolbar, there are 2 images of a car from the front end. (Old software is just a pair of lightning bolts on the bottom left) Click on the right car or right hand lightning bolt to release the com port.
I had the sane issue. Thought I bricked my computer. Tried about 20 times. My fix and it actually worked was before you hit write, un click the high speed write box and then hit write. A little slower writing but it went through for me.
your issue when it wouldnt work when everything is right until next morning was prolly the computer, anytime im using a computer and things arent working right i reset it and atleast 75% of the time boom it works, with your cable blinking the usb in and out like that id guess your usb port may have errored out and shut off, sometimes switching usb can work, this applies to any windows computer new or old btw, im sure you may have one but I have an autel 906 i just picked up its a pretty badass scanner if your in need of a high level one anytime, it does everything from chevs to bugatti's lol
I have a very complex handheld myself next best thing to a snap on bought it when I got my m5.. and yes resetting or switching USB can also solve issue and restarting... most times it is low battery voltage...
@@BurninGas8.1 right on, by your vids id figure youd have something already, ive thought of putting a tune on mine never been happy with the stock tune, the shift points usually suck but being all stock i dunno if it would be worth it
I think some vehicles just have to be benched tuned. I pulled: 1. Radio 2. Radio Amp 3. Info 4. SEO B1 5 SEO Ign Wrote slow speed failed the erase step and boom lost everything. I got a bench tuner coming so I can recover it and it’s bad that it’s my sister’s fiancée’s truck. I feel bad but wtf is this issue
@@BurninGas8.1 I was just trying everything I could find on the forums lol it started with the 1st three then one post swears he did the other two as well and worked like a charm. That was a lie 😂
Far as scanner and editor open at same time just hit disconnect from vehicle on the scanner . Don't have to close it out . For your lights once they come on you should be able to twist headlight switch to the left and it cut your lights off. If that don't work hit the done light button just under the headlight switch several times in a row and it should cut them off . Give it a go . I've never tried the radio fuse myself but will try it next time I run into this issue 👍🏻
