So amazing to see Danny introducing Amy Lee to cover one of his iconic songs. I've heard other pretty covers, but honestly nothing beats Amy's voice plus the instrumentals that band pumped in AND her playing the harp at the end( and the awesome film-props-stage- set up was wicked)

Gosh, Amy Lee is my Idol. No doubt about it. My dream is to have that talent that she has. She is what makes me keep on going with singing.

Whoever said this was a bad cover probably has no musical talent.. or doesn't know anything about making music. No one could of done this better.. and to judge her cover based on this live performance with a shitty camera makes no sense.. regardless she still sounded good in my opinion even with the sound quality, and with all my musical training I know myself I couldn't singing that good...play that on piano ... and harp.. one of the most difficult instruments to play. Bravo.

2018 and it's still one of my favorite songs in the Nightmare Revisited soundtrack. Amy Lee performing "Sally's Theme". And this has a more powerful and vulnerable feel to it. Danny Elfman wrote the song. He wasn't just the songwriter for the movie, he was the performer in his songs from Nightmare Before Christmas.

I know this is from two years ago.. but Lacey is nothing compared to Amy.... two completely different levels of singing and sound. Amy is the best gothic metal singer of all time with out a doubt.

she's an amazing performer and the band and backup singers did great. my only pet peeve is the fact that i can tell she breathes shallowly with her throat, using the lift of her ribcage to get air, which i am guilty of as well, sometimes. the only reason it bothers me so much is because ever 3 or 4 seconds, i hear this big "hhhhhh!!!!!" as she takes a breath. if she opened her throat a little more and used her diaphram, this would prolly be less of a problem.

Being a big Oingo Boingo fan, my wife got our family (including my 2 daughters) 3rd row tickets when she heard that Danny Elfman was going to be on the panel. We were surprised and lucky enough to watch this live. Sadly the video doesn't do justice with how GREAT it sounded live. Thank you for the video, we can go back and watch it again and again.

Gosh I love her. But the harppart, when she starts singing she's a little out of tune but I think it's normal, she doesn't play the harp for as long as she plays the piano. To bad for the TO LOUD backgroundsingers, they screw up Amy's vocals! Amy, Amy! Feed us with your music and make more,more, more!!

One thing I don't understand is why Amy Lee Sacked Rocky Gray, John LeCompt, etc and also although I still love Amy Lee and her music but it seems to me that she is driving away from alternative/gothic rock (whih is why I loved Evanescence so much) into 'celtic music' which is a truly different type of music

She's like one of the few singers who actually pour all there emotion into their performances. She doesn't sound as good live because she has fun and puts on a great performance!!! Btw she's not lip "syncing" as mwtan07 said, audio's way off, it's to obvious for lip syncing...
