Welcome to this week Episode and today we chatting with Anthony about his HQ Holden Belmont Panel Van, however, He does not like being on camera, so for this episode, he dentist and we can show his face. haha, lets get into it.
Anthony brought this HQ Holden Belmont Panel Van that was leaving to go to America and he wanted the sell the Van to someone that would look after it, so Anthony brought. He is now the third owner of the the Van as the previous owners uncle brought this new when it came out. When Anthony got the HQ Van it was stock original with 173 engine, 3 on the tree manual and drum brakes all painted in baby blue paint. I had not floors or interior but the rest of the Holden Panel Van was good to go.
Anthony has slowly building the HQ Panel Van over the last 6 years now and getting it to the perfect specifications that he wanted in the Van. He rebuild all the Suspension, gold anodized every nut and bolt to get it how he wanted it. He has also add 4 piston Wilwood Brake Rotors, Calipers and Master Cylinder to make sure he has the stopping power for the new engine performance. Which is a LS1 V8 Engine that has been retro fitted to look like a carby old school big block engine. That along with the Turbo 400 Transmission and 9" Ford Diff. This Engine is master piece of custom branded hose, custom aluminum fittings and brackets that tied this engine together. You Could send hours looking at every detail bit Anthony has done.
Now Anthony has rebuild this HQ Holden Belmont Panel Van all at home, with no hoists or fancy gear, apart from the Spit Rotisserie for the paint job that was also done at home. Anthony's goal was to finish this Van off for the WA Van & Van State Titles 2024 and he did apart from some small areas. He won 3 trophies at the event and it was well deserved. The custom interior in stunning with the Dakota Digital Gauges, custom trim, Electric Windows and Vintage Air Conditioning as well. Then you have those stunning US Ramble Chrome Mag Wheels that make the car pop on the outside.
This one custom HQ Holden Belmont Panel Van that Anthony has built at home and it glides on the road with not effort at all. It is just perfect. Now that its done, if you see this van rocking, don't bother knocking.
