Milovníkov histórie pritiahne zrúcanina hradu Branč, ktorá sa týči na výraznom homoľovitom kopci vo výške 475 m nad obcou Podbranč severovýchodne od Senice na juhozápadnom Slovensku.
Branč patril do siete pohraničných hradov, ktoré zabezpečovali ochranu ciest smerujúcich z Moravy ku karpatským priesmykom. Vznikol v 13. storočí a stal sa strediskom správy rozľahlého hradného panstva. Koncom 17. storočia začal chátrať a od začiatku 18. storočia nebol obývaný. Z jednotlivých budov sa dodnes zachovali len zvyšky obvodových múrov a niektoré súvislejšie časti dolného hradu.
Hradný kopec ponúka po krátkom a nenáročnom výstupe široký kruhový výhľad s panorámou Myjavskej pahorkatiny a Bielych Karpát. Na sviatok sv. Cyrila a Metoda sa tu každoročne konajú evanjelické bohoslužby.
V sezóne od mesiaca apríl do okóbra je vstup do hradu spoplatnený vstupným na účely obnovy hradu.

History buffs will be attracted by the ruins of Branč Castle, which rises on a distinctive hummocky hill at a height of 475 m above the village of Podbranč, northeast of Senica in southwestern Slovakia.
Branč belonged to a network of border castles that ensured the protection of the roads leading from Moravia to the Carpathian passes. It was created in the 13th century and became the center of administration of the vast castle estate. At the end of the 17th century, it began to deteriorate and was not inhabited since the beginning of the 18th century. Of the individual buildings, only the remains of the perimeter walls and some more continuous parts of the lower castle have survived to this day.
After a short and easy ascent, Castle Hill offers a wide circular view with a panorama of the Myjava Hills and the White Carpathians. On the holiday of St. Cyril and Methodius, evangelical services are held here every year.
In the season from April to October, entrance to the castle is subject to an entrance fee for the purposes of castle restoration.
Access: by car to the parking lot under the castle, from there about 100 m on foot to the castle, about 5 minutes on foot from the village of Podbranč
