The "FastCap 3rd Hand" floor to ceiling poles and suitable camera mounts recommended in the developer edition of the VR setup guide is the best solution imo. There's no tripod leg to trip over. They use less than 80mm x 80mm of floor space and the lighthouses can be angled down from up to near ceiling level so they work good for people of all heights.

Great tips! Thanks for sharing :) I can recommend VRCover for sweat protection too my favourite is the 14mm memory foam replacement, comfortable & easy to clean. Thanks again & all the best! :)

Good info. I was always double checking to make sure my Vive wasn't in the sun light. always made me tense.

Was wondering what you do with the headsets when your not using them?

We just store the HMD & accessories in a big drawer. It's better that way to go against dust. We used to have a foam head for it too, but read something about stretching the bands in the long term. We didn't want that :)

just keep in mind games that require you to reach up for things , it does get tangled in the suspended cables. climbey is the worst for hanging wires. you will pull them down lol. i did it myself.

Does the lens protector a pain in the ass to apply. Heard complaints of it being super hard to apply, without bubbles.

Funny... Nvidia's 3D Vision still offers WAY better visual fidelity up to 3D Surround (3x1440p) monitors. SLI works just ine, if the game supports it! 60 FPS requirements, but can be used perfectly fine on lower FPS (no motion-fatigue) All you had to do is wear a PAIR OF GLASSES and buy A MONITOR + EMITTER... Yet, that was ruled as "gimmicky"... VR... offers SUB-PAR visual fidelity (lower than 1080p - per eye). You need to do "cable management", have not glasses BUT A FULL visior strapped to your head (at least if it was like a BIKE HELMET), use it on certain "games made for it" with dated graphics from 2000 era... But this is not a "gimmick" is the NEXT THING... Sorry for my sarcasm, but VR is a FLOP on all fronts, Hardware, Software, Support... the list goes on! I want to see the day when VR actually improves beyond what 3D Vision DOES! (For the record, I am one of the "fixers" for current AAA games under 3D Vision. Yes, I tried both the Rift and Vive and returned them afterwards. I don't want to "piss on the VR tech", I just want to raise "awareness" that VR can be 10001% better and don't let the "companies" full you! Ask for more! (What they said they "will deliver"!) Ask for AN IMPROVEMENT on what is already out THERE since 2010 - and before!!! VR currently in terms of technology is before 2010!!!) Peace!
