I have a 2014 EZGO TXT 48V stock motor & Controller and I just swapped to 4 Power Queen mini lithium 100AH Batteries, the total weight was just over 76 lbs, I think its about 300lbs lighter now. My first run I went over 41 miles in City driving. Top speed was 26mph on flat ground. I paid $900 for the batteries (on sale), $15 for 4Ga Wire and $150 for this Charger. I will probably add a Battery Cut off Switch $15...

Purchased this charger for my 48v Enjoybot converted Txt. Worked fine first couple of charges but now it can't tell the battery needs charging even when down to 65%. I really liked that it would auto-shutoff when the battery was charged but now it's just a brick. Lasted about a month 😢

Love the channel and everything I've learned from you about lithium swaps. I bought one of these chargers and it worked about 3 times. Now it turns on but won't show any amps coming out. Shows everything else but no fans and no amperage. Any advice? Battery's about 52.7v right now so not over discharged

Hey Ryan. Firstly, thank you for ALL of your super educational and detailed videos. I’m new to golf carts and I’ve picked up an old 96 EzGo 36v TXT that I plan to refurbish. So far, I’ve got a new admiral motor (MOT-B2), Navitas 600A controller, “On The Fly” programmer, HD solenoid, 2GA wire set, front and rear shocks, HD leaf springs, 4” lift kit, 20” off road tires, 36v to 12V step down transformer, The HTRC P3648 charger you reference in this video, and I’m waiting on delivery of 3 12V 100Ah Ejoybot lithium batteries. Can you say expensive!? Yes. Am I missing anything? I know that’s a lot, but do you have any advice for when I get started with the tear down and rebuild? Thanks Man!!

So I’ve purchased the 48v enjoybot batteries, charger and cord cap for a club car precedent. I fully charged batteries prior to install, install went smooth and cart performs well. I just ran into an issue though, after installing the precedent cord cap and attempting to plug into the cart to charge I received an error message. Before I start spending time troubleshooting do you have any idea what the issue could be? The cord cap is definitely installed correctly, I’m an electrician by trade. Thanks in advance! Love you channel!

Update: They finally shipped the charger to me for my club car DS. I haven't been able to use the CC DS plug that came with it as it won't work. I have to use the clips to the last negative and first positive of the battery pack with are lead acid. The charger works great however, the LED display quit working about 6 months after use. Let me start off saying I’m new to 48v golf carts. I recently purchased a 2016 Club Car Precedent with 2022 Trojan Lead Acid batteries. The cart came with the ERIC factory charger. Is it best practice to leave charger connected to cart, to allow the charger to maintain battery voltage (Float Charge) maintaining proper electrolyte levels. Or will this have a negative effect of the life span of lead acid batteries?

Just one tip, I would "tin" the wires before inserting them in any that requires a screw or pinch to terminate the end. The wires will tend to fray if just having the screw run against it
@03treefitty

Dont do this tinning a wire makes it weak when crushing and will break. I worked at a wire harness company and have been certified in medical cable manufacturing. Tinning is for soldering. Tin take a pliers crush and it will break

Quick question: (excellent videos by the way): and I’ve done what you’ve done. 36v EZGo, with this charger. It all works: however, it’s only charging them to about 50% (it stops charging at 39.9V), and yet the charger thinks it’s at 100%. In fact, I just plugged it in again (when the batteries were testing at 39.8v), and before it even started charging, it showed that they were almost full. Thoughts?

On the club car golf carts they have a OBC (on board computer) It basically controls the oem charger and tells it when to cut off. You need to bypass the obc.

@ezeemart138

Everytime to put them on charge go back to 48v 5amp charge then it will update the volts. The sensing system somehow did not get accurate voltage at first. U will see your battery % is also different on 48v 5amp like 40% and as soon u switch to 48v 13amp it went from 40 to 80% why? The system detects volts doesnt work until you do all that back and forth.

Not really. I would encourage everyone to get a shunt meter so you can measure your battery capacity. Its far more advanced than just a regular gauge. Plus its only like $40 bucks if that. I did a full video on it as well. If you are thinking of this charger and those batteries due to price only. I also did a video of the big battery falcon elite for $1500 with charger using my coupon code and it gave me 20 mile range and you always have the option of adding another battery down the road for more distance, Plus that bms will handle more amperage output. @@bigshowradio_550 I never did figure out the issue after I installed the OEM club car plug onto the lithium charger.
