A HUGE pro that no one ever mentions is that the outside of the device DOES NOT get HOT. I had another press that scared me because the outside of it was extremely hot. This is a lot safer for people with children or cats. They will only be harmed if they put their fingers (or paws) inside the press.

I bought mine before it came out. I love it. For any limitations it might have, there are work arounds, rather its how to do a hoodie or the pressure. I do HTV, DTV, DTF, Sublimation, all of them are great. I have used my swing away since I got this one. Love the auto feature and quick heat up time

I have this press. Same color. I purchased it in March. I love it. I have sublimated and ironed lots of things. I have even sublimated a 6x sweatshirt. I just pushed the base in and held it and it closed. There is one thing that when it is new it will make a pop noise. That was kind of scary. I contacted HTVRONT and they said it would go away it was some kind of thing that just happens when it is new. I no longer have the popping noise. I had a 8 in 1 press before this one. I had it for about 3 years and had lots of problems with it heating in some areas. I had a few craft shows and made so many things with the HTVRONT press including, coasters, shirts, sweatshirts, mousepads, car tags, pop sockets, cardstock for cards, and so many other things. I have never had any problems. I always use my large tefflon sheet so that nothing small gets stuck to the lid. I also love the slide out feature. I love my new HTVRONT auto press. May not be for everyone but it's for me. Love your videos Angie. Your the best!!!

I love it, I purchased mine on pre-sale last year. I have the swing away and found that more scary with that heat plate swinging to the side of me. I also have several other means to heat set my projects if any of the issues listed became an issue for me. I’ve done the heavy hoodies with HTV and like you showed here, I just turned it sideways. I highly recommend this press

I LOVE my HTVRONT Press. It’s all the average crafter needs. The fact that it’s a third of the Cricut brand was a game changer for me. I was on the initial backer distribution list for this and have no regrets at all. You can buy a different mat that is firmer for sublimating ornaments for more even pressure. ❤❤❤

I have found work around for some of the cons. When doing polo shirts I simply place a Cricut heat mat inside the shirt. It makes it pretty thick so I use a large Teflon sheet over it and hold it down on each side as I push the tray in. I’ve probably done 300+ shirts since getting this press. My only wish is to have the carriage come out a little farther. Saying that, I have never burned myself.
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 7 месяцев назад
Yep definitely work arounds but I still see that as a con that you have to come up with those things.
@CarefreeSpirit

I have a silicone pad and a pressing pillow. When I need more pressure, I lay those on top of the mat that comes with it and it increases the pressure allowing me to do things that call for heavy pressure.

I just received my HTVRont yesterday. I LOVE IT!! I had an old used clamshell that was not heating right (probably ever since I got it 2nd hand) and I did burn myself on it. I love mine, tho I don't make shirts / sweatshirts. I have neck and back problems and I would never be able to open a regular press multiple times a day. The auto open feature is mandatory for me now too. I make a lot of smaller, solid items for sale (especially coasters, car coasters, and magnets). I've figured out a) use a nomex pad on top of the regular pad, and b) use cardstock shims to get extra pressure - I tried the Artesprix firm foam pad under the regular pad and it was too much pressure. A handful of heavyweight sheets of cardstock was just right.

I love my purchase, but to be honest every heat press has its pro's and cons the User defined button is a positive and the auto saves on energy for me. The shutdown if not in use after 10 minutes is a big positive. If I have anything to large for the gap I will use the swing away, especially substrates that require more pressure that this machine gives, a small price to pay for a beautiful addition to my sublimation.

Hi. I just bought one of these presses, I want to try to use it with White Toner Transfers for dark garments with my OKI8432 White toner printer. I have seen this press work with many different types of transfers, HTV Vinyl, sublimation, and DTF (Digital Transfer to Film) transfers, so I figure the press is versatile enough for White Toner Transfers which are very similar to DTF transfers. White Toner Transfers for Dark garments require a two step process - first, print the design onto a clear film, then press a sheet of glue to the clear film at 320 degrees for 120 seconds at medium pressure (marrying the two sheets so to speak), then press the married sheets onto the garment at 320 degrees for 30 seconds using medium to heavy pressure. I am failing on this second step with the HTVRont press because I can't get heavy pressure. Help me understand how the pressure works on this machine so I can jerry-rig it to use more pressure for the second step of my process. If I were to add a teflon pillow underneath my shirt, causing there to be less clearance between the top of the platen and substrate, does that create more pressure?
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 8 месяцев назад
I find that adding thickness does NOT in fact increase the pressure at least to any amount that makes a difference. I am pretty sure it has a pressure sensor and once it reaches a certain pressure it just holds it.

How does this work with easysubli for cotton or dark shirts for sublimation. I used a circit press with dark shirt and easysubli and it had like a engraved area and also when i took the paper off there was some parts that were dark on the paper like the ink didnt come off

Polyester fabric or any fabrics really can leave lines when you press. Regardless of the press you use. This press should work for EasySubli however.

@ambergreen9614
@ambergreen9614 8 месяцев назад
Hi @delynnegomez - you can definitely do coasters- and they turn out beautifully! I have had this press since it first came out and have spent a lot of time experimenting with different substrates/times/temps etc. This press is amazing and I think that most crafters who have bought it and really spent the time to get to know it would say the same. I have been making coasters, t-shirts, metal plaques, slate pictures, thick wooden plaques, mousemats, keyrings, hoodies, and little patches for sewing on to jeans etc. I experimented until I got it right. I made it all for a winter artists craft fair. I have had no issues with lack of space when threading hoodies or t-shirts over the platen at all, or issues with pressure. And this machine IS substantial…I find it quite heavy to lift so it stays in the one place. I also have other brands of heat presses…I have a Magic Touch clamshell press, a Cricut Easy Press 2, Cricut Mini, Cricut mug press and the HTVront tumbler and mug press. I love all of them…but my out and out favourite is this HTVront auto press. If you do buy one then I would suggest that you spend time experimenting with it and all it can do - personally I don’t think you will be sorry. Apologies for this long reply but I hope it helps you👍

Hey Angie (my daughters name) :). I am trying to figure a way to put sublimation on light plate covers. Any pointers??
@AngieHolden
@AngieHolden 9 месяцев назад
They can be tough due to the rounded edges. I tend to use a rubber pad over the top to get as much heat as possible on those curves. However, I am not the best at them at least yet!

@@AngieHolden I appreciate your honesty about the auto-press. I have seen other crafters review it, and I felt that I could not benefit from it because of the very limited abilities that you even discussed. I believe that you have saved a lot of people a big headache. I would like to have an auto-open press to go along with my what I have, but it would have to be a clamshell style press. Something that I can get good pressure, have a good amount of clearance, and is a larger size for lager projects. Again, thank you for your honest review. Donna Watson

I also love my press! I do a lot of sublimation on mdf blanks and flat hard surfaces so I bought a silicone mat that is 15 x 15 from Amazon. I place it on top of the installed mat to make a firmer surface. I also have a Teflon platen cover to protect it since I can’t see it.

I absolutely hate mine. It may be ok for shirts. But I do far more than shirts. Not being able to adjust pressure is huge. Bad bad design and had I known I would have never purchased. You also can’t set the time over 99 seconds. Another huge flaw. This may be great for beginners. I’ll take my swing arm press any day of the week over this piece of junk.
