Depends what kind of minerals are there in Laos,but minerals are mainly used for building construction,electric and electronic products,transportation equipement,agriculture,energy supply,Cambodia is growing due to Chinese businesses Americans are all going there they say its the cheapest country,any country that is poor and does not have industries needs to invite foreign investment,even India can grow when foreign corporations invest China grew the same way

These Chinese lorries are sending all these precious minerals to China. The sad reality is that China uses Lao country as a colony .They don't care for polluting lao environment and damaging health if lao people. Que fait le gouvernement laotien ? Ministres corompus et mauvaise administration. Que c'est triste. Je me demande si Madame NiNi ne va pas un jour ètre arrètée par la police pour " damaging laos reputation". If you study well in real information, then you know that most of the Minerals (gold, silver, iron, etc...) in Laos belong to Australian, New Zealand and South Korean companies, and not Chinese!!! Of course, the main export of these companies, they mainly export to China... these goods need to be exported by large trucks or by train...... and not by horse or buffalo, because now is not 1000 years ago!!!!

With all the resources Laos have. Laos should not be a poor country. With only 7 million people.The people should have better education and increases living standards. Where did all the money went to?? The corrupted government is profiting and stealing from the people.
