The best part is that in online classes you could be like my laptop doesn't have a camera ... if the teachers are doubtful send them the picture of the screen and it works cos the camera is in the keyboard
My version is completely silent when doing uni work and watching youtube videos ...unlike my partners HP laptop that sounds like an aircraft when just watching youtube. lol
I wish more reviewers would take your approach. Being sponsored doesn't mean that you should act like working as an employee in a marketing department. I really do appreciate you mentioning the pros and cons similarly to a real-life review. It also shows that you're sincere and not willing to hide the caveats in return for the money they paid you. Good job :)
Been using the similar Matebook D14 for months now, the lower model of it, Ryzen 7 8GB Ram model, and it just performs perfectly. Tried Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Valorant, and GTA V on it and it performs great. Huawei really did a great job on these Matebook lineups. Camera-wise, I'm using a laptop stand whenever I need to use the webcam but other than that, haven't felt any issues at all.
Loved this review. Watched it several times in order to consider this laptop vs any other Black Friday 2022 deal. I am getting this. I already have the 2019 Matebook X Pro, this 14 is for another family member. They are seriously good machines!! (apart from that camera!) Subscribed!!!
For a proper notebook review I'm missing: thermals measurement, display measurement, proper benchmarking of both cpu and gpu, throttle test, noise emissions measurement, check of the internals - is it possible to upgrade or replace certain components. Missing all this, this video is not more than a presentation of your opinion or advertisement of the product... Check out Jarrods channel for instance how a proper notebook review can be done in 2020...
This one is still really well put together and just enjoyable to watch, even from a more techsavvy person's perspective, seriously. This guy seems quite honest and gives many practical info - I liked it, though sure, would also appreciate a bit more in-depth review but it's just in the sweet spot IMO.
Huawai laptops are so underrated. You get so much bang for your buck. Their MateBook D15 is by far the best laptop for £500. The MateBook 14 AMD is only £600 😱
My sister has had this laptop for a few months. It's great all around, but it does get very very loud when doing heavy tasks such as gaming, video editing, etc. It gets so loud that at first we thought there was something wrong with it. That's minor though, and it is an excellent laptop. The performance is great: she has the Core i7 16GB RAM version with the Nvidia MX250, and she can run Overwatch at high settings at 60fps, and run a heavily modded Sims 4 at max settings. Compared to a MacBook Pro: the speakers are good. The MacBook Pro obviously has way better speakers, but that's not to say the Matebook has bad speakers. They're good, just not great like the MacBooks. But the display... it's truly beautiful. When we went to the store, the Matebook was right next to the 2020 MacBook Pro. Both laptops were at max brightness, and what shocked me was just how much better the Matebook's display was. I thought for sure the "Super Retina" display of the MacBook Pro would blow the Matebook out of the water... but it was the other way around. Not to mention the fact that this display is touch screen as well, which the MacBook is not. Also the Matebook has thinner bezels. In conclusion; unless you're already heavily in the Apple ecosystem (iPhone, watch, iPad, etc) or absolutely NEED MacOS, then the Matebook is a better choice. You get far more for your money from the Matebook than you do from the MacBook Pro, including better performance. Not to mention, in my opinion, Windows is a far better OS than MacOS. And if you're comparing it to other Windows laptops, the MateBook is still a great choice. It's powerful enough to do some light/medium intensity gaming, small and lightweight enough to be carried around (my sister is a Uni student and takes it to and from her lectures every day), has a beautiful display (better than most Windows laptops in it's price range), good speakers, and great build quality (The feel in the hand is very similar to that of the MacBook Pro, which is a good thing because Apple is known for their build quality)
@Bensassi Fethi Yes yes definitely worth the money. So much love for the wide display. The touch screen is a plus but i usually don't make use of it that much, but there are instances that I find it convenient. The speakers are great as well. Although I think it wudve been better if they added more usb ports but that can just be solved easily by buying an extension. I also do some minimal gaming like genshin and valo, and it's performing great for me :))
Hi, first of all great review. Keep up the good work. Just wanted to know if this would be a great buy or wait for the global launch of the 11th gen intel d14. The display resolution is going to be 1080 in comparison to 2k but what do you suggest if this difference is ignored. Wait or go ahead with current amd model?
I'd say that you either go for the original. Don't get the D types as they don't have the vibrant screens. I've just gotten this laptop and I'm enjoying it thus far but it is up to you.
Between this the matebook 13 and the 14s... honestly this was perfect but the camera really bothers me and I'd like a lighted keyboard. But great review enjoyed it a lot!
Nice review, but I'd really like to know about the ram and storage expandability... is it using soldered on RAM and SSD, or is it a removable SoDIMM and nvme design.
Definitely, I have mb air, 6 years old and works like a clock work. New m1 books can be bought under a grand now, the best investment, I swear by their build quality and reliability. But I got this mate book though because I needed a Windows machine and I'm surprised how nice it is
I'm watching this video on the Huawei matebook 14. I've got the Ryzen 5 version and its doing really good. the Ryzen 7 version has a touchscreen, I would recommend getting the Ryzen 7 version for this reason. I like everything about the laptop and I don't have anything bad to say. The trackpad issue is something I did have, but I use a mouse anyway. when I got the laptop, there was a promotion going on giving me a free tablet and keyboard worth £300. I bought it for £680 with student discount. Overall great laptop and I would recommend it. Great video and hope to see more coming soon.
Recently setup one of these for a friend and discovered that the type-C port doesn't support video output. So using a docking station doesn't allow you to connect additional displays, the single HDMI port on the laptop has to be used and therefore restricts you to only one additional display. Something to be aware of.

hi, i bought matebook 14 2021, i7. but the device has slowness and sound, it seems to be struggling. although I haven't used it yet. Is it possible that there is a problem with the computer? because I thought that a computer with this feature and liked should be faster. I will be very happy if you answer. thanks..
this notebook with ryzen 5 is better than new huawei matebook d15 2021 with i5 11th generation? But the screen is 50 mm bigger than huawei matebook 14, but amd ryzen is better? and also april 27 is arriving new d16 with ryzen, what is the best?
I bought this computer. Of course, don't expect an Apple Macbook, but Windows or Linux as a Macbook alternative is the only device. Its most remarkable feature is its screen and keyboard. Get it before it runs out :)
Hi, I am a new college student and i need cool laptop helps me for that and for some other light things. But i am confused between Matebook 13(Core i5 10210u) and Matebook 14 (AMD Ryzen 5 4600h), from the numbers it was found that Matebook 14 is much stronger in performance than Matebook 13. What do you advise me ? this question is too for people who reads my comment 😊 maybe someone can help me ?
Okay but I've never had a laptop and I've been thinking about buying one soon. I'm a Huawei fan and I only watched good reviews for that one and it's affordable but I'm scared of buying at the same time...😔
@@Arman-nl6mg I decided NOT to buy the M1, because I want to wait for the M1X. M1X is supposed to be ALOT BETTER than M1 and ALL other chips (In the world).
