I've had mine for 1 year and 4 months so gusto ko lang ishare yung review ko para sa mga nagiisip kung bibilhin ito. Halos 18 hours a day ako nasa laptop dahil sa work ko so pansin ko talaga ung pros and cons nito. Okay ang everything I like the system, the sleek look, the slim bezels, the matte screen at yung color ng space gray pero ang downside na napansin ko is: 1. After 2 months naging weird yung audio jack ko. Gumagana siya pero pag naangle mo siya in a weird way biglang on one earphone mo lang maririnig yung music kahit wala problema ear phones mo. 4. Yung camera.... double chin is real. Although hindi naman ito big deal for me since hindi ko naman siya ginagamit 5. Ang tagal ng repairs nila. I sent this for repairs para sa audio jack problem tapos it took atleast 2 weeks bago ibalik nila saakin tas even then hindi parin nasolve yun. Pashare kung nangyare sainyo ito tas nahanap niyo ng solution. Okay siyang laptop pero gusto ko lang rin ishare ung experience ko para maweigh niyo rin options niyo
I've had mine also for about the same time as yours. I haven't encountered an audio jack problem with mine, maybe yours had a factory defect(?). The laptop does heat, but only when doing really heavy tasks such as gaming or video editing. The heat of course will depend on how heavy the game youre playing is or how much rendering you're doing with video editing. If you plan on gaming with this laptop, check the minimum system requirements for the games you're planning to play. In terms of battery, ever since I bought the laptop the battery lasts from 4-5hours as I've noticed, but that's me doing online class (5-8hours of live video lecture, docs, etc.). Overall, no real complaint on this device aside from teh fact that the camera is in an unfavorable angle. I use my phone camera instead through an app called droid cam to fix this issue.
Same issues encountered! But, nevertheless, it still is working smoothly; update mo lang mga kailangang i-update from time to time. Been using it for almost 2 years na!
About three years into owning my D14, battery life can last about an hour at this stage. The way I see it, everything else involved was impressive in terms of work, no gaming - $60 to get a new battery, 20 minutes to watch a video on how to replace it.
so far my D14 worked great. less than 4 secs bootup each time, 2secs on hibernate. No problem yet, sleek, light. Hidden webcam is good for privacy/spy issues.
I want to buy my this laptop for my school, I am planning to start a podcast and a youtube channel, is this laptop suitable for such tasks? what do think?
I bought this laptop and here's my Review as of now. Honest customer review: the laptop kept failing, For some reason my Fingerprint scanner suddenly don't work my screen fall off (happens also on other users) the keyboard, i like it that it is an *chicklet* design the travel is good but keys are fragile and sometimes doesn't register. overall the the design is good but sacrificing Hardware is a no, with this i will not Buy this laptop variant anymore, btw it's just 6 months since i bought it at huawei Store.
Just ordered one! Needed something that could handle basic video editing, occasional working from home writing reports on Word and also my daughter doing her homework.
@@stephgal just good for a budget laptop, it can handle video editing apps like Filmora, Premiere Pro and Da Vinci Resolve although you may feel the heat under it, for me it's still a beast. A user of Huawei D14 for 4 months hahaha.
@@DyanUnto sa pinsan ko kasi umaabot ng 5 houts to 6 hours and yung charging 1hr and 30 minutes. gusto ko lang malaman yung sa iba hehe. ty sa sagot sir
Anyone got a problem with overheating? I got mine for about a month now. And it's really hot when I play games such as Sims4 and valorant. I had to delete the said games because the overheating is scaring me. I got the ryzen 5.
I bought in 2019 and just about 2 months ago, its battery started giving less than 2 hours. Now, its is even less and I can't find replacement. It's a great laptop but it's hard to find parts and quality service. So, I couldn't recommend even though it's a great value
The device boasts it's ability to fully charge battery for only an hour and half and it lasts for 8hrs. But it's important to mention the unflattering angle which shows more of your chin and nostrils when in video meetings. The camera is hidden in the keyboard which is cool but definitely an epic fail cos of it's unusual angle. Pain in the butt to buy a separate webcam.
I'm torn between d14 and swift ryzen 5. The swift 3 has better cpu but a prefer the design of the Huawei + i am a Huawei phone user. Anyone? Share ur opinions please. I am really into video editing and a multi tasker.
Pwede rin though I don't recommend. Almost 3 months ko ng gamit to. Dapat ko bang i-recommenda to sayo? (when charging) Also: Microsoft Office is not free, kailangan mong bumili ng license key para magamit offline. Of course walang perfect na device. Tho nagustuhan ko naman ang kanyang Design at yung Quality ng build compared to other brands. I hope na nakatulong ako.
@@glenadelfebe5283 Also, 2019 model yan even though binili ko siya noong katapusan ng November 2020 so I would suggest na humanap kayo ng newer version/model or equivalent na device. Suggestions: Huawei Matebook 14 (malakas CPU nito) Lenovo Slim 7 Asus Vivobook S14 Acer Swift 3 LG (may bago din atta silang ultrabook)
I'm buying a laptop in a couple of days and I am picking this one, D14 with Ryzen 5, or MagicBook 15 with Ryzen 5, so any help? Also I am planning on using it for casual stuff like watching videos, college work and a bit of gaming (League of Legends and Hearthstone).
My Matebook D14's charger heats up so much that I'm scared to use it. Is it just my laptop's problem or did anyone else experience the same? (It was bought just 6 days ago) {please read the replies too👇}
Mine too.. Also my screen is suffering from backlight bleeding (white-yellowish light) although not extreme but definitely noticable in dark scenes when watching movies. Do you have the same issue?
Pricing doesnt make sense... these are last gen ryzen 3000 CPUs which are SIGNIFICANTLY weaker than the Ryzen 4000 or their equivalent-generation intel counterparts.
First time, I also thought about the same thing, but after trying one of them, I decided to buy it. Somehow, this Ryzen 3000 series in this laptop is different than the other laptops with the same gen processor. I think Huawei really have a good engineering design for this laptop so it works way much better than average 3000series Ryzen laptop.
It seems that it will with no official statements made to the contrary - my logic is it already has a Windows 10 key linked to the bios/UEFI, so it's treated as a generic install by Microsoft update servers as 'we're updating a Windows 10 machine with xGraphics, xMotherboard' etc.. Similar to the Huawei phones that ran google play services before, they are still being updated and still have play services, it's only newer devices post-ban that don't. I see no reason that all these Matebooks with Windows 10 will cease to be updated at any point, only an official statement or even a warning from either company should change our minds
