This video makes me excited to get my Huawei p40pro even more and this guide is great to watch. Just can't wait till I get this phone and test it under extreme low light when I'm doing astrophotography in very dark locations. I own Huawei p40 and I'm impressed with p40pro's little brother. Thanks for this wonderful guide and I hope you are safe and well during this covid pandemic!

Nice sharing. I am deciding between this Huawei and the Iphone 12 Pro and I take a lot of selfies, wefies and plants/flowers... Which would you recommend me to get? Also, does the Huawei flip portraits, which the Iphone does and it's annoying LOL. I have been an iphone user for many years, never had a Huawei before but I really love taking selfies and wefies. Thanks.

Thank you for sharing details about p40 pro camera...unfortunately I am not being able to find out the leica standard, leica vivid & leica smooth(instead these option I just can find the aperture setting) in perture mode and one more thing, could you suggest any trick about macro shoot!

When you're in aperture mode, click on the button at the top next to the gear icon, and it will open up a list of presets you can choose from. As for macro, my recommendation would be to use pro mode and adjust the focusing distance from there!

is there a setting for the beauty mode on the front camera in photo mode, because I see beauty mode settings only in portrait mode??

This is great but there seems to be one mode missing - sport or fast moving objects- how do you manage that?

Probably would be best to jump into Pro mode where you can adjust the shutter speed for that :)

@@TECH360TV ah thats what i feared as i bought the camera for my wife who doesnt understand the pro settings - i had assumed there would be a sports mode as she wants to take lots of shots of her dog "in action" it sounds like this camera wont work for that!

@@neilhenderson1766 Yes, it won't, unfortunately! There aren't all that many phones with a dedicated sports mode. A compact camera might be the better option if you guys really want to grab those shots!

@@TECH360TV yep true - it used to be commonplace (s10 and before) but now they seem to have replaced it with burst mode

@@neilhenderson1766 Well, there is still burst mode on these phones, but it doesn't have AF-C so sharp photos with a fast-moving dog will probably be a no go :(

hi, do you by chance can do a comparison on macro shot between P40 super macro shot with Ultra wide lens and P40 Pro macro shot with Optical zoom 5x ?

Hey sorry, we don't have a P40 with us, unfortunately. Just to remind you, the P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ do not have a macro mode so you won't be able to get up close to the subject. In any case, I'd recommend using the 3x lens instead if you do get the phone, since there's no 5x lens.

@@Siaomi24 Ah my bad, got mixed up with the P40 Pro+. Yes, the P40 Pro has the 5x optical zoom lens, and the P40 Pro+ has 10x. Apologies for the error!

@@Siaomi24 Personally, I think it depends on how up close you want to get to the subject. Don't forget there's still pro mode where you can manually adjust the focusing distance. But if you just want to shoot macro shots with no hassle or adjustment and macro photos are a very big deal for you, perhaps the P40 might be the better choice. I recommend heading down to a store that has both phones and you can snap a few photos to test it out.

Depends whether you want the fast wireless charging (Pro+ only), extra storage (512GB) and periscope lens with zoom (Pro+ only). Of course, if you're on a budget, the Pro+ is quite expensive.

A lot of people love macro photography, and couldn't add macro mode to both the p40 pro and p40 pro + Really how could that miss huawei? I am disappointed in huawei because of that small but valuable little thing.

Yes, no macro mode in the P40 Pro and Pro+ unfortunately! There's the option to manually tweak focus in Pro mode, but it's definitely not as convenient as a macro mode.

@@TECH360TV There will never be a phone with 50x zoom that will produce nice pictures. It's the laws of physics. You need a big telephoto lens for that.
