The only trusted scientific reviews on smart watch , all others provide only unboxing experience. I have used Huawei watch fit 2 for month now and I can say I am very happy with it accuracy in heart rate and o2 testing with oximeter several times during the month , also I see that stress monitor is relatively indicative as I saw high scores during day when I have problems or debates in work

Are you satisfied with sleep monitoring and data? Actually,I am still using Xiaomi Mi 4 band,bought it when that store was opened in my city,few years ago...:) No need to buy new one,this one is still ok,everything else thats new (at Xiaomi ) I am considering as "cosmetic" updates. However,I am looking for a new band that I can trust ,and also band that doesnt require a new credit card from the bank,so this one seems to me as quite adequate option. Other options are still expensive ones, such as GT3pro,but its one of the overall best bands. I dont like Apple in general,so I am looking for different brands.

I bought it yesterday and it has issues picking up an accurate heart rate rating. Is it because of calibration? Or something else, because I fully updated the firmware. Also, a little hairy on the wrist, so does that mess with the accuracy?

Most doctors here are telling us these are toys. However, I'm in agreement with you. It's not a precision medical testing machine. But as a companion to get some early warning indication it will do. If they upgraded the sleep tracking this would be one of the best even.

Watch Fit 2 user here for almost a year now: The watch is definitely 100% worth for its price, but there are some issues, so that you can manage your expectations: - The heart tracking would sometimes work EXTREMELY well, accurately reading even up to very high BPM like 190ish. However, sometimes it would randomly be completely awful. For an exercise that I would expect my HR to be above 140, it would randomly read 110, 120. Even sometimes it would go complete nuts and read under 100, when my breath and sweat strongly disagree - The continuous HR reading is complete garbage. I turned it off because it was just unnecessarily draining my battery without providing anything useful. Running to the third floor upstairs? Here's your resting heart rate of 70. It's better to have the manual measuring - The SPO is also practically useless. Completely random. Many measurements towards the 98-99, when an actual pulse Oximeter would read 91-95

I hope other brands join Apple and Huawei in heart rate measurement. Huawei still needs to figure out sleep tracking. I am using Wellue O2Ring that's supplied to you by the firm. I think it has a reliable SpO2 measurement. I tried it on a few flights and it was able to register low SpO2 values smoothly during the whole flight. I wish Wellue developed the app a little more. It could show the pleth signal. And also perfusion index as a graph.

Exellent job, Rob! Your testings show that it's obviously possible to get very accurate HR readings from just 2 sensors. It's amazing that the Fit 2 outperforms the GT3, which has a sensor array of 8 and which I was almost going to buy. Waiting for a truly professional review often pays off. I was looking for a new tracker because I sadly had to return the mi band 7, because I was unable to get even remotely correct readings on my crosstrainer, where the mi band 6 did a much better job than the 7, very much alike to your own stats. So the Fit 2 is now candidate #1. Just why is the SPO2 tracking worse than that of the Huawei band 6?
@synthrequests5880
@synthrequests5880 Год назад
Dude, have I got a story for you. I recently bought one of Huawei's new "GT 3 SE" models, which are advertised as having the same "TruSeen 5.0+" sensor tech as the top performing GT 3 Pro's, so even though this gentleman hasn't gotten a chance to test the GT 3 SE yet, I assumed it would perform equally well. (I was wrong) The watch arrived and I was having a good time with it. The heart tracking on it was worlds better than my old Fitbit Sense (ugh!), so I felt happy. But then I looked closer, and saw that the "GT 3" and "GT Runner" on his chart also have "TruSeen 5.0+" sensor tech, but performed worse than the GT 3 Pro and Fit 2! This made me paranoid about my new GT 3 SE, so I ordered a Fit 2 (which we already know is awesome) and put a watch on each wrist, and compared the two during exercise. I suspected I was being neurotic and crazy for doing this, but I needed to be 100% sure. I first tried out some sprinting. The GT 3 SE's heart rate reading seemed to lag or hang during quick and sudden heart rate increases. It would just hang there on 116 bpm, seemingly doing nothing, and then it would suddenly correct itself, and shoot up instantly to (the correct) 165. The Fit 2 during this same time would rise more steadily and gradually. "116, 132, 151, 165" Then I did some pushups to really put them to the test. The difference between the Fit 2 and GT 3 SE was even more pronounced here. I was getting 4-5 heart rate updates on my Fit 2 for every one update on my GT 3 SE. I even swapped wrists to make sure that wasn't the factor. No difference. Again, the GT 3 SE kept lagging and hanging while it struggled to get readings compared to the faster and more adept Fit 2. It seems like the GT 3 SE either updates its heart rate reading at a lower rate/resolution to save CPU/battery, or it is somehow much worse at filtering out movement and "noise" during workouts compared to the GT 3 Pro and Fit 2, despite having an allegedly equivalent or superior sensor. I kept the Fit 2 and returned the GT 3 SE. So just goes to show you, "TruSeen 5.0+" is just marketing, and doesn't actually mean anything, especially when the Fit 2 with its piddly little 2 sensors ( ! ) can beat the pants off it.
@yodanvranx809
@yodanvranx809 Год назад
@@synthrequests5880 Thanks for the info. If the GT3 SE is that new there is still hope that the next SW update could fix the problems. But nobody knows if and when this will be happening.
@synthrequests5880
@synthrequests5880 Год назад
@@yodanvranx809 I wouldn't hold out hope. the GT3 (non-pro) has the same sensor and heart tracking issues and has been out for a good while, so if they would've found a way to fix it via a simple software update, I feel they would've already corrected both the GT3 and GT 3 SE by now. My advice is to definitely pull the trigger on the Fit 2. the only features it's lacking compared to the GT 3 SE (to my knowledge) is the altimeter/barometer. all the other features it has, and it even has pre and post run warmup and stretch exercises that the GT 3 SE doesn't have. not to mention the aesthetics of the Fit 2 are much better imo, looks more sleek and modern, actually has a metal casing, while the GT 3 SE looked and felt very cheap and plasticky.

I'm currently thinking about buying the fit 2. Can you share your experience with the watch?
@illuminatusdeus3051
@illuminatusdeus3051 5 месяцев назад
@@PPGandRRBfan Yep, I've since gone ahead and bought the watch, as the post suggests. Sleep cycles are completely nonsensical, but the heart rate is somewhat accurate (not 100, but think in the 70th percentile range, since it also sometimes looks to scan even if not worn). You can configure the device for continuous scanning. The app is needed to view the heart rate, you can play music or control your synced Android phone. You can also change faces / screens for the watch. I recently also changed the strap, it is light and basically, for me at least, does Ok - I am only after constant heart monitoring for my aged next of kin. I have done some testing myself too, I have, on multiple instances, taken heart rate measurement from the Fit2 app, and then compared with an Omron Blood Pressure device and also a separate blood O2 measuring device, the findings correlate, meaning the measurement averages are reliable for heart rate monitoring. Note - only for heart rate monitoring (I work on averages normally). But do note, blood O2, sleep monitoring and exercise monitoring all FAIL - they are just BAD. I have seen instances where subject walked about 3-5km and the device was not able to know if 10000 steps was complete. Maybe these 'features' were there to fill up the form to call the device a 'smart' watch. So, heart rate monitor was what I was after, it does that well. Other than that tells time. Hope this experience is helpful to you! All the best!

I ordered the Watch Fit 2 and was excited to try out the heart rate precision. Disappoingly, I cannot confirm the outstanding results from this video. Measured against my Polar H10 chest strap, the heart rate values are off by a large amount, and it gets worse during any kind of workout. I'm sure I've had the watch tightly enough around my arm. Not sure what causes the discrepancies between the video and my own measurements, but I'll definitely return mine.

The watch fit new had a lot better sleep accuracy when I tested them( some months ago). The reason I gave both of these watches is because the SENSOR on both watches is huge and pointy and it digs on your skin and tissues and if you want to have correct measurements by wearing it tight enough.... then it is impossible because you ll end up with a nerve damage or something. Thats why I am telling you.... go and try them. Having to put a little extra effort to install it doesn't bother me, but I have read many comments from people who have been doing this and are complaining about their phone getting inaccurate info about their steps count/heart rate etc, as well as the watch constantly disconnecting from their phone. Hi, could you do a second sleep test video for this watch like the oura ring 3 as there was a new update less than 1 month ago which claims to improve the sleep accuracy. Edit: For anyone still interested I compared this with the latest watch se both on one arm and found that the total sleep was very precise with apple's within 20 minutes. The huawei also gives a breathing quality for people with allergies who might be interested, which I personally found it very useful to determine my allergy drugs' effectiveness. The bad stuff is that the sleep stage although collerates with apple's graph is still not that good, with deep sleep recording 2 hours whilst apple recorded around 50 minutes. Another con of apple is the lack of native analysis with sleep quality like huawei has so most people will be using total sleep. Also you cannot sideload the watch fit 2 with andriod apps since it has pure harmony os, and whilst old phones with andriod 6 is usable its not a great experience, some features like the ai requires emui 10 to function.

Wow! This is helpful and so reliable. I'm planning to upgrade from Watch Fit to its successor (this Watch Fit 2), and I'm really sad to see that their sleeping monitor (at least in detecting the sleep patterns) has slightly decreased based on your calculations. Did I get it correctly that we can rely on detecting at least the hours of sleep? Not sure if I heard it though. But still, great video overall, sir! Subscribing!!!

This watch fit 2 is so powerful now, it can add external sensor such as chest strap, cadence, power meter, I already tried with my magene heart rate strap and cadence, and it doing well, the gpx route also works well, this is the cheapest sports with capability like other expensive brand.

I bought this watch in good faith that it would support HR broadcast like its predecessor. I learnt that I was wrong, the hard way. I assumed that the HR broadcast feature would be inherited to the Watch Fit 2 because both watches are very much alike.This isnt the case. The feature was simply canceled. But now comes the interesting part: There is a so called Watch Fit Special Edition - this is basically a Watch Fit but with the new TruSeen 5.0 HR sensor of the Watch Fit 2. And voila - it still has HR broadcast. Dont mix up the special edition with yet another clone of the Watch Fit called New which apparently has only a 4.0 sensor. So this is the only cheap alternative to Apple's watches if you insist on measuring your heart rate with high accuracy on your wrist during workout and send it live to rouvy, kinomap, zwift, tacx and the like.

I bought this today (146 USD, bought in Sweden for 1490 kr), for use for my weightlifting/gym/general training and general walking etc. As far as feel, 10/10. Easy to use OS 10/10 Colors, brightness and reactivity from the touch of your finger 10/10. Seriously. Measuring my heartbeat, calories, distance walked, gps etc is awesome so far. I compared and it is very accurate. Feels premium and am really happy I saw your video and decided for this one. Was looking at all other watches. I haven't tested the sleep feature, but everything else + more that i didnt even know existed, works really great. I could easily change themes on the watch as well, so thats a plus! It syns perfectly with my Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Really recommend it.

Man I'm really conflicted whether if I should get the GT3 pro or this Fit 2. It seems like in terms of overall tracking GT3 doesn't really do much more than the Fit 2, but then GT3 Pro has a bit more battery life and a nicer build quality (the design is cool as well :D). Although I'm not sure if it's a little too bulky, so maybe Fit 2 is more comfortable for longer use. Anyone have any inputs on this? :D

i was too. but then i just get the aluminum fit 2, and i'm good. i could save the rest of the money on shoes. i didnt even know fit 2 hr is this good tho lol. if fit 2 is already this good, gt3 pro with twice the sensors would obviously do better. with triple the price, of course. lol

I believe the sleep is accurate.. As the watch is used by the arms.. The arms is actively moving than the head.. thus.. you are in deepsleep state but the arms tends to move a little and back to stationed.. Thus u see deep and back ro rem.. And back to deep... my 2cents.

Thank you for your hard work doing these videos. I bought my Huawei Band 6 after I watched your review last year (I have a Huawei P30 pro phone) and it has been great as a fitness tracker. After your video review on Huawei Watch GT Runner I decided to replace my Band 6 so I got a GT Runner instead. If I had waited for this video review and bought a Watch Fit 2, I would have saved about 50 Euro, and gotten a watch that is just as good. But I like the look of the GT Runner more 😊

The video I have been waiting for two months 😃 thanks man I already own the watch and I love it. The sleeping and oxygen measuring its not very important you mostly buy it for sports and heart rating which are the best parts of the watch. The price now is 95 euros in Greece I totally recommend the watch 👌 thanks for the video again mate 🙏

However I must mention that I joust bought it two days ago and realized that the animated workouts that were present in previous version have gone. In watch fit 2 only some warmups and post exercise stretcing is available and nothing more. In version one there were autonomous workouts for chest, arms, legs etc. That's a big drawback. I bought the watch for that reason mostly, so I will probably return it since I found out the issue is present a lot of time and Huawei hasn't fixed it yet... Dissapointed...!
