I really expected better in California, but I should have known better after the 80's with "choke holds" killing folks in LA! It hasn't gotten much better since Rodney King! It's still a fk'd up institution of thugs who shouldn't represent law enforcement! ;-(

Loved it when the lieutenant put his arm around the sergeant and tried to escort him into the door and the sergeant pulled away like a 3 yr. old who wasn't going to allow his mommy to discipline him. You caused an internal power struggle that will stay with both those officers for years to come. 😆👍
The Lt. would be non-unionized management while the rest would be union. The Lt. would love to write them all up but the union boss would destroy the Lt. with a massive grievance filed.
@Brendan McMahon Agreed. What some folks don't understand is how much police management hates their rank and file cops but have little power in doing anything about it because of these collective bargaining contracts that protect the unionized members. Just things like trying to get cops disciplined with a letter of reprimand will get a grievance filed. Try doing anything more elevated such as financial penalties or even getting fired - forget it. The only time a street cop gets fired is when their own union wants to attack them for betrayal to other union members (such as ratting other unionized members out who have more seniority). That's rare so you seldom see it happen. And when it does happen, it's usually that young cop who signed up and wanted to do things right - they get run right out of the department for exposing the dirt within.
@Brendan McMahon 100% agreed. Also, when a fine is levied against an officer, or a dept., it needs to come right out of their pockets. We all know of the massive pension plans they enjoy. Take the fines from the pension and there would be more self policing instead of the "thin blue line".

Bay Man, I’ve have been watching auditors do their thing for about a year now, a lot of good ones out there for sure. This encounter for me had all the elements that highlight what your all about. Thanks officer youngblood it is really refreshing to see officers that are nice and cordial and don't have a chip on their shoulder and aren't so egotistical that they just get defensive you seem like a really real person who cares about the community you're an asset to us.

I had to go look at old videos because ive seen pretty much every Bay Area Transparency video. Everytime i think ive seen it all i find something new even if it's an older video. Sending much respect from Idaho.
You'd think the camera would "smarten" them up so they aren't embarrassed like this again and again! If you're ever detained that's the crime you want to go in for. It pays good, it doesn't go on your record, the more they keep you detained the more you get paid. Absolutely no downsides.
