So they're not getting rid of the asstastic combat change. Its ridiculous that they can turn 180 degrees while in the middle of their heavy attack and get you.
It took them years to fix the bug where I could collect sticks on the ground with an axe. I enjoyed collecting a dozen sticks from a single stick with an axe. Gonna miss that bug.
thats a bug :( you can collect #x eggs from nest with pick axes. and #x stone(type) chunks with a pick ax :( why did they fix it? I'm just coming back now and they fix something I like about the game.... this and buying purges instead ov antispation... and they ruined Shang Tsung in MK1... not a good era for game progression.
Combat changes are welcome. I would be even more happy if funcom would dial down the turning speed of enemy's a bit. Especially gig scorpions that are turning even in attack animations are a pain in the a.. . But that is also true for most bosses. You can't get behind them anymore -.-
shoot the dyers bench .. not only that one alot of the other new benches they added they are far to big to the point i dont even use them i prefer the improved version because its literlly half its size .
Chapter 3 was really my last straw with Funcom as a whole. I took my bracelet off for the first time with the keystone and uninstalled it. I've played 1200 hours and started playing early in July of 2017... and I'm just tired of the inconsistency. The fact they muck about with the combat but if you play full screen rather than windowed borderless the mouse cursor doesn't line up if you happen to be a weirdo and have the task bar on the left side of the screen... is super weird. Why does it matter where a task bar is for a full screen game? yes lets change combat a gain. (Among all the other bugs and poor decisions)
@@alstroker878 Enjoy. Joel Bylos was and is bad at his job. He pushed games to be buggy messes instead of good games. He is great at world building. Sucks at directing games. Secret Worlds is a super interesting world. It has the potential to be amazing... feels jank. Conan super interesting world. Had potential to be a near perfect game... has always felt jank. The best way to describe Joel is... He sees only the forest. Not that the soil isn't great, that there are whole sections that are dead, and there is a fire burning. He only sees the forest. Because of that people that play games he is connected to are in a really neat forest... but eventually you start noticing the trees in sections are all dead and the fire keeps burning and the soil doesn't seem great long term. Then he stepped down from his "Creative Director" role and then money guys came in... the guys that started mucking about even more... trying to hide the fire and the dead areas... by adding in theme part rides and little cabins that face the good parts. There is nothing wrong with liking it... pleases like it. I got 1200 hours out of it. I really enjoyed the game for a long time. There is lots to enjoy but eventually you want to find a new forest that is a little healthier.
@@fiedom92 well a healthy forest usually isn't going to have a large area of dead trees without some sort of bad thing happening. Usually a 2000 sq/km forest shouldn't have a 300sq/km area of dead trees if the forest is healthy. usually a sign of swamp, disease, insect infestation, climate changes, etc. And that is the point... a dead tree here and there... great... massive areas of dead trees with no living ones in a large area is a sign of an issue... unless you are Joel... he sees trunks so the forest is fine.

Are they going to make the user UI accurate when making armor? Example with armors heat & cold resistance they show 1 for each no matter what armor it is, but after you make it then you get the true stats. I'm grateful for the mod & maker that shows this info but it is one of those things like pulling resources to your workbench for a recipe that should be kind of a base game thing imo.
Funcom making the purges more difficult without introducing new thralls as rewards for the extra risk is seriously dropping the ball in my opinion. I won't risk my main base for the same thralls I have a deep stock of already. Been doing t10 purges all through chapter 3.
You kinda talk to the devs do you know if they plan on letting us own the battle pass and bazar items ? Or will it always be pay to rent ? Meaning if they ever close the servers we won't be able to use the items we bought or earned I didn't know it was not accessible offline

Unless they create a breach in your walls with explosives, siege equipment, meteors, etc. they should HAVE TO target the doors. Swords cant cut through stone walls. It was completely logical that the enemy could only smash through the doors. Thats the weak point. my most despised feature of the original purge was how melee weapons can just annihilate a fortress. I think this entirely defeats the purpose of building defences out of the strongest tier if melee weapons can annihilate them. Why even bother? Might as well drop the coffer in an open field with an army infront of it if swords and axes can fell castles. Assaulting a fortress is supposed to be hard. Its supposed to provide certain advantages, and if the enemy can take melee weapons and cleave through stone walls like theyre made out of paper i see no point in even building a base for the purge.
I agree completely, npcs attacking walls instead of a door makes no logical sense, and being able to set up defenses down a certain path instead of just guessing which wall they’re going to attack is much more fun. Completely reworking how the purge works just because people found a way to cheese it and create a maze is dumb imo
I guess I better start getting eggs, going to miss hacking egg nests with a pick and getting so many. Have you ever done a video covering corrupted attributes? I'm trying them in my game and thought they could be useful for Appsro, since it makes you permanent 50% corrupted. Great stuff as always :)
I think the Hunt is going to be fun and give players who have been well established on a server forever something engaging to do. I just hope that the purchasable items from the hunt stay with your account and don't just disappear when the hunt is over with.
They will for a few weeks, but then they will become boring, just like anything they've added before... This event just like the purge or the PVE fortress doesn't give you anything useful, just stuff so you can do it all over again... Just look at the big content mods, like EEWA, AoC or VAM - they all have some crazy bosses, but they drop stuff that you need to move forward with the content...
@@gaborbernath1278 On some level I agree with you. It will also become a grind for completionists trying to buy everything offered by the merchant. At the same time a few weeks of fun with that (your timeline) plus figuring out the new purge and grinding out the battle pass is satisfactory content in waiting for the next age.
@@seamusoconaill8265in my opinion that's part of the problem - all of this is just content for the time being, but it has no place within the progression of your gameplay... like we are at the end of the Age of War, but most of the content from Age of Sorcery is already pointless do now (some of it was straigth up removed once that age ended, like the witch hunt events)... and I wouldn't be suprised if in the next age they would remove the PVE fortress as well...
I typically right click in my inventory to eat food. Hitting F every time would be awkward for sure. For those that don't hotbar their ice in the volcano. Taking away right click to use an item could be a death sentence.

you know i have like 4 k hrs in conan some may say its much some say its not but its quite alot, and i had nice experiences did met cool ppl. had many nice times. i also been on dogs of the desert training,,, just soooo funcom is like oh hey lets change all the fighting yeahhh lets do this... bro. fuck that. like rly fuck this game.
dyeing is going to be interesting. My bench is full of dyes(also have a cabinet with overflow) because I keep all the dyes I loot. Probably over 50 dyes to display for choosing.

if that rotating camera is the problem for why i hate combat now im glad we can swap it off. I found myself swinging at nothing and idk how i was doing it.
In this update you barely can do any damage to the Cimmerian. I'm a level 51 character with a star metal battle axe but I only do like 2 to 5 damage to but every other enemy the damages sayed the same
Stupid question maybe , but the Panther altar is where one of my castles perimeter wall is situated and the Panther spawns inside my castle , as far as i can deduct from your video....... What will happen to my castle now ? Will i lose my castle or will the altar spawn somewhere else ?
Golem jar heads exploding and meteors raining on top of my base just sounds like it's gonna be a nightmare repairing and rebuilding. I hope the rewards are gonna be worth all the unavoidable repairs heavy maintenance that they come with
I have been wanting to try this game but I see clipping through alot of enemies and that really takes me out of it. Is that something that is ever going to be addressed?
If the combat is fixed (mostly), then I will be happy. I’m no expert in combat, so chapt 3, was a total failure to me. Solo players and builders were (insert swear here of your choice) by it.
Happy to know we can revert the combat as it was in chapter 2. I will need to build a new purge base by the looks of it. Don't like the exploding Golems must confess 😢
OK, I have seen a few videos about this game but I don't know a lot about it. One question though. Are all armor that bad looking than in this video or there is better looking armor that fits the Conan universe better?
Let me give a simpler meta, and real world explanation... the management understood that they fucked up the previous chapter, and now they squeeze in the next age content and whip their "devs" into bringing in new features into the game. BUT as long as the management doesn't force more bugs than features, I will be happy as a player, yet still resent the way this company operates and buy absolutely nothing from them.
being able to precisely split a stack is a requirement for any basic survival game Not being able to use tools on hand pickable items? so hand pick mushrooms now? I really don't understand how Funcom can be so incompetent at times, It's like they take 1 step forward, and 2 steps back, they are all over the place with changes. I love Conan Exiles, but they keep messing things up so badly it makes me not want to play anymore and just let the game finally die
Wak, I appreciate the time you take to review the patch notes and show us the changes. Thank you. I like the UI changes, they seem to make inventory management easier and more fluid. I personally don't care where the dyeing of armor takes place. It seems to make sense for us to use the bench, always thought it was kinda odd to be able to dye in the inventory. For me dyeing armor is really a rare event, only doing it occasionally. My biggest concern is the stamina changes (nerfs). I hate that the dev's can't leave a good system alone. Why do they keep screwing with it? While I watched your playthrough, I noticed many times where Phoenix, just stands still with zero stamina, while the NPCs are beating on her. How is that supposed to be FUN? If the game is supposed to be about our toon being the strongest, why do we keep getting nerf'd. It's crap like this that pushes me away from games. Not certain I'm going to even play this new chapter and I doubt I'm the only one. Anyway, thanks for video.

Oh goodie a bunch of questionable UI changes that will take modded servers offline for a month again. Also nerfing stack splitting? Really? ALL HAIL THE MODPOCOLYPSE!
Games like conan exiles are or ARK would be 1000 times better if they had any system at all to prevent offline raiding. It's a shame that every single survival game out there is just offline raiding all the time.
What they will do with people who use hack and cheats on pvp official server? bcs its imposible play pvp no one play on official server and game is death.
This is the first update coming back after a few years and i see nothing has changed, NOBODY ask for any of these changes. This is actually making my entire clan want to jump ship.
It doesn't really fix what led me to stop playing and it further breaks my prefered build. The new content seems interesting but not really game changing. The various fixes and whatnot don't affect me that much.
The PvP gameplay has been completely destroyed long ago, there's no point in playing when you get everything handed out to you without having to actually play the game. Hopefully funcom fixes the issues that at least Playstation has with the Aesir build set and building issues in general. The set has been out for ages and still doesn't work properly, which it definitely should do considering the prices they ask for the stuff.
