Post Nerf Best Thralls In Age of War Chapter 4 Conan Exiles

I am convinced this dev team is purposely trying to kill this game...

Funcom keeps doing changes that no one is asking on things that were already working

I spent a good amount of time leveling Pelor in chapter 3, and then re-rolling a bunch with elixir's of rebirth. I took a bit of a break from the game. When I left he was at around 11,000HP. I logged in yesterday and he's at 900 with his perks.

I was going to give conan another shot with season 4 but it sounds like they went backwards in progress. A real shame...

Just once I’d like Funcom to roll out a Conan update that isn’t bad news.

As a non craft station building Nomadic player..the fact that you can get Kathibria on Newb river gives you such a boost in your early game I'd rank it over other Thralls pre Mounds of the Dead. She also comes with better weapon than your stone stuff that can carry you to the Star metal wielding Berserkers all while saving you the actual damage dealer from compromising your endurance and stamina. She makes all pets obsolete. Camels are the superior mount as well for storage. Great video wak!

I play conan exiles and Ark both. The one thing I noticed is when Ark updated it was always something to look foward to. With Conan it seems they cant decide what kind of game they want. Its all over the place with its updates.

The bearer nerf is ridiculous indeed as well as funcom's "for now" answer, when in the meantime i've just got an entertainer I and an archer II both of which purchased at the tavern for a couple gold coins and ending up at nearly 10K hitpoints after using some rebirth potions xD

So many games will nerf everything that helps and then never fix the things that Hinder

That is why I always use the beast of burden perk with heavy armor and 2 fighters. I carry all the stuff while they do the dirty work.

It's a bunch of bull crap what they did to the followers

The best way to make Funcom to fix something is to tell them that players like it.

I get the feeling some one is working hard to get me to not like a game I'm currently playing.🎉

They went and made level 1 thralls better than named ones. Thralls have long been useless now. Cannon fodder. Yes they used to be completely broken. Like way too strong. But now it's not even worth the effort of finding them or of actually breaking them. Games done. The devs have made it clear they hate this game and are focused on trying to kick the entire community off and make us purchase Dune. I won't. At this point I'm just done with Funcom. Too many changes that weren't needed. And way too many changes that have been that aren't addressed. It's a shame because I've loved this game since day one. And it saddens me to see how far it has fallen.

So Berserker continues to rule supreme, and Devotees are coming up as viable choices for a bit more HP and a bit less DMG. Thx for the info!

I pulled kathibria out of scavengers berth easy camp to farm especially early game. Also pulled a Nordheim 3 bearer whos over 3000 h/p at 16 he's doing pretty well even though he was awesome before the nerf

Currently pet thralls (Greater wolf, etc) are doing more damage than full kitted out humans such as the Cimmerian Berserker.

The Den is the best location for Bearers, either capturing or killing for their packs. Three spawn locations in the north, going left to right.

2 Eina the Light was my team...how bad is this patch and should I wait for next time to think about playing again?

This is great as I finally in all my years playing just last week got my first Kathibria from a purge.

Also, I never realized how different the HP/Vit is for the top thralls. Cimmerian berserker: about 36 HP, Janos about 60, while the Devotees have 118! This excel you linked is quite handy. Only problem I have reading it is, I can't tell which of the thralls in it are actually available (a lot seems to be only admin spawnable or siptah exclusive, but I can't say for sure. For example there are some super strong Exiles and Darfari's that seem out of place...).

After analyzing the new updates on thralls, I think one of the best options is Rafnir Straight-Arrow, it's an archer but got 3199 base health, 56.45 HP per VIT which is pretty descent, he can reach 5k+ HP easly, and got 2.322 Melee Multiplier + 20 starting STR

Iike these guys don’t understand how long thralls take to lvl and how easy they r to kill in pvp servers it’s not even worth getting thralls at this point like make it easy for them to lvl if u want to nerf them I think. It’s so bad. Also change the gather rates back like I got to worry about hackers and everything at least make it so it’s good gather rates. Would be nice if they fixed it so people can no longer buy cheats. Like people are taking stuff from my locked boxs and out of bench’s with out them showing up in the event log. Like come on I love this game so much but it’s so hard to play when u work so hard and grind and people can just walk threw your base and take everything you own with out blowing up a single thing.

Thx for another info vid wak I personally don't bother with thralls anymore thx to the nerfs. ill use camels and or monsters instead that way i don't even have to bother with armors or weapons unless i use archers for my siege defense to melt anything that comes close

I'd actually consider the one skull fighters in the noob river. Guaranteed spawn, 15 starting vitality so they end up with 35 ish compared to a 0 vit starting fighter that gives them 45 hp per leveld level in vit. They have 2.08 damage which is pretty high and they are all guaranteed spawns and much less dangerous than the cimmerian berserker. They are fast leveling so if you want an army, these might be your go to guys.

I know their planning on reverting the nerf.. But who's bright idea was it to weaken our pack mule thralls.. 😂 Also I believe they removed the last bearer spawn in Sepermeru, hasn't spawned since update.. 😅

Don't forget 3 spawn spots for bearers in the Den. The T4 Stormsick Warrior basically has Delinsia's stats, but a variety of looks. I like them just because they are harder to get.

I haven't played in months...are the undead dogs still surprisingly strong? I logged to find 4 guys trebbing my base. Whipped out the 2 undead dogs and killed 3 of them. The other ran.

They need to fire whoever keeps nerfing and messing up this game. By far the worst update so far.

So if i want to max level a Devotee what armor and food i should give him?

I have tried the "Devotee" and of course he does less damage, that is expected, he is still decent though. The problem in my game is that he only ever attacks twice, he never finishes a combo, leveled him to 10 vs low level mobs and he is consistently just swinging two times and then just stops. This of course also means he takes a lot more damage since he is slower to finish his enemies. He is currently using an Aja´s Bane (I think it´s called).

Hy @wak4853 ! Isn't the Cannibal Brute has around 3x dmg multiplier? I thought he had higher than Berserker. Can you check this pls?

Wak they need content creators like yourself to form a community player base that tests content, share suggestions with each other before content goes live.

After the rolling thrust nerf I just started running solo with max str max vit and max grit I liked running sorcery corrupted with hammer but really can’t optimize it anymore so ehh

Funcom breaks the game every time they put out a new update. I'm so tired of turning on this game, excited for a new update just to find out it's even worse off than what it was.

Got Featherstep 3 times in a day at The Den.

Boy I sure am glad those massively overpowered bearers were nerfed!

So based on the spreadsheet, if you want to mass recruit *actual* Archers for the archer posts, you're better off just going after T3 Shemite/Hyrkanian Archers in Sepermeru, since those you at least know what you're getting by their names and starting stats. Go pay Du'neman a visit beforehand though, as he's still better.

Seriously i don't understand why developers keep changing things on this game... now the thralls management is completely messed up, i can't make my horse following because is not possible to setup mounts behavior and simply everytime i command my thrall to attack the horse does the same and because of that i cannot use any mount in the game... that's frustrating, then keep nerfing thralls is another thing nobody asks them but they do every chapter they release is necessary? Absolutely not... i really think in funcom wants to kill this game otherwise there's no explanation on the senseless things they are doing to this game... that's sad.

Once they nerfed the thralls I was done playing haven’t looked back lol

Feels like we need a total thrall stats overhaul mod which fixes all those broken imbalances..

I play on PS5 still cannot see the health bar tried everything to fix it even including starting over.

I recommend a Gazelle they can carry as much as a Camel.

Im so glad i learned the mod tools for this game because i clearly understand the game better than the clowns working on it.

They are so lost and confused on what they should do. Their just guessing at this point. They dont play the game. So neither do i. I just come here for Wak

Did saber damage get nerfed?

In my opinion Camel pets are superior to bearers even without the nerf. At level 20 with good perks they get 50k or more hp and they have 30 inventory slots. They practically do no damage to the enemies but can distract them and hold aggro for you when you need to heal.

Horrible nerf for bearers, do enemies do alot less damage to compromise or what changed? Otherwise not worth it till thralls can be downed instead of killed. If they are trying to kill the game for dune then definitely not getting dune now.

Bearer III with HP that is TWICE the HP of the Named Bearer....that makes ZERO Sense even if the Bear III had the best perks and the Named Bearer had the Worst Perks

740 hp at lvl 20???? What's the point??? That makes his inventory table more valuable than him. I get it, they don't want us to cheese the purge but wow, why nerf it that hard. Did not see the funcom response though

Devotee is useless. They cannot attack with full combo - only two hits and then they stay like idiots.

Pelor seriously looks like somone mis-placed the decimal point when editing. Actually, seems to be a case for a lot of the named. That non-named bearers have more HP than named has got to be lazy editing & QC

All this fuss about bearers that shouldn't have been viable fighters in the first place. From the spreadsheet, named Votaries look like an option, though the Cimmerian Berserker looks more well rounded.

so what this means for those of us who have our own private servers bearers are useless get a stack mod save your self the headache . guess you could still use a camel as well. what a waste of farming those bearers

At this point just use a horse or other mount to haul your crap around, I don't but would not shed a tear if I lost a mount but a fully leveled thrall is something else. If you designed the game correctly in the first place you would not need to continuously nerf it into the ground. FFS.

Thrall guards should not do the fighting for you, they should just assist you in battle. So if you don't want them to be unalived have better control over them. Right now you can just watch your thralls do the fighting for you, like it is some sort of strategy game. Same goes for the mounts, they have way too much HP. This is a survival game. It is suppose to be hard. Not like a walk in the park. So keep nerfing the HP of the Thralls and mounts.
