Try being a small guy on RU-vid trying to make good videos that noone watches:( I just like seeing people say stuff in the comments and seeing that someone watched and maybe appreciated my work.

In my case, I am in shared accommodation. My roommates filed a complaint because I met someone to go over a computer configuration that I built for this person. I received a letter from the building reminding me that I am not to use the apartment for earning income. Yeah, I hate my roommates😖 I even asked them if I could have her over for the overview for about 45 minutes and have about 15 minutes for setup in the living room (Which they rarely if ever use because there is no tv or furniture in the room other than a dining table with no chairs). They never said that they had a problem with it. Since my client was female, I didn't want to take her into a bedroom for the meeting; that seemed unprofessional and would have been difficult to create required social distancing.

Congrats! I'm hoping to be able to do the same thing by next year. It's hard to be inspired in your comfort zone sometimes. Grabbing a new space away from everything familiar and cozy is a great way to address that!

Great idea! I rented a studio apartment back in July to use specifically as my creative space. Being a studio apartment, it has a fully functional kitchen and two-in-one laundry machine all in the same room so I can comfortably sleep there when burning the midnight oil.

Smart move. What kept me sane during the last 10 months was exactly this solution - a rented studio/office not far from home. It is worth any money you spend on it just thru the fact that you NEED to change your clothes and take care of your looks again. I recently don't do much of video work, but when I do - 50K+ people watch. And that's a fantastic motivation to take care of yourself.

That's a really cool step! Always wanted a dedicated space for videos. I kind of have it now - not as much versatility - would be nice to have a couch to sit in or something like that to change up the scenery - But this is really awesome for you - look forward to seeing what you make of the space.

Congratulations Luke. You are an impressive young man. I wish I had found you 2 years ago when my Macbook met an untimely demise. At 70 I replaced my battery using a different channel that did not mention the charging and discharging which ended Mac's life within a few months. Fortunately I had everything put on an external hard drive. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. I bought another battery but my hands are too shaky now. I turned a lot of my friends onto your channel, it's so informative and empowering if you don't have grandkids to help out. I love to check out your channel and am so happy for your success. My wife and I both purchased Herman Miller chairs around 15 years ago and they have been fantastic. Both chairs are still rock solid and ever bit as comfortable as the day we purchased them.

I feel you, I’ve been in a similar situation, being at home all day and school online. Sometimes you can’t find motivation to do things, and boredom can really take a toll on you. You need inspiration, because if your trying to be creative all the time, but can’t be inspired, that it’s hard to create content or something new. I wish you the best of luck man, and may you find inspiration and have a great year!

Congratulations! I rent an art studio which has been a game changer for me creatively... It really is important to have a place to go to for a specific purpose, and it has helped keep me (relatively) sane over the course of the past year, as well as given me a reason to put on clothes on the weekend.

Just fill the bottom section with matte white panels/boards to blend it towards the floor. It may not be in frame when filling, but it will make it look more finished. It should also be much easier to buy out the electrical outlet. The other option would be to hide the electrical outlet by cutting out the needed area in the cool panels with a Dremel. Then use some PVC foam board to create the needed depth, add a hinge, and use the cut piece as a door. A lot more work, but would be really cool.

Very cool man! Love the wall. Personally, i would just bite the bullet and to the bottom bit as well. I know that it doesn't show up in the camera angle, but just knowing it is there, i don't know. You could do the bottom part and just skip the bit where the power plugs are on the wall. But in any case, i'm really curious to see the rest! Great start of the new year! 😎

When you are young, you should do whatever by following your heart...like what Steve Jobs said "Stay Foolish, Stay Hunger" you have got nothing to lose when you are young...I am a 60 year old IT guy in Hong Kong, semi or close to retiring, and I would have loved to do what you have done so far when I was young but timing didn't allow me to as the technologies in old days did not support youtube, smart phones, powerful PCs, etc. So go ahead...!!!
