Why did you cut out what Joe said around the 7:00 mark? lol I think I know what he said. I am from New York and lived in Florida on several occasions. I am Jewish and I would have just asked them all for my commission for the sale price. lol Joe is a true character that reminds me of so many men I have been around growing up on the East Coast.

@@Forever_Endeavor Nah, not if you are a decent person and during a negotiation in which the seller is already giving you a massive discount… Joe literally just misspoke and didn’t realize he said that and clearly didn’t intend to. It’s not like they signed a contract dude.

The uber costs from Port Richey back and forth to Weirsdale are around $240 says the Uber website. This is far more as i expected. Hopelly i can find a (shared)ride for $100-125 back and forth to make it. It would be awesome if Joe will have a silver/bronze age show in the weekend of may 31/june 1st when i visit Florida from the Netherlands. The 8th of june i will visit a comic show in Tampa, unless i've spent all my comic budget earlier at Joe.

Great video looks like a lot of fun. I myself is slowly getting into collecting and buying books for myself. issue I have is where to start lol. I'm a big Marvel fan and have been picking a up a few X-men books here and there but nothing super crazy. But I do want to move my gam up a bit just not sure If I want to go slabbed books or raw.

Maybe start by asking yourself which era you are most interested in - golden (maybe not!) silver, bronze, copper, modern (avoid 90s era, lol!) You like X-Men. Are you a reader or a cover guy? Do you like being able to flip through your books or do you find comfort knowing they are permanently protected? Are you interested in comics as an investment or just as a fun hobby? Do you care if your books have a tiny spine nick or bent corner or a loose staple, or are you okay with imperfection? Would you rather own one $1200 book or twelve $100 books, or 120 $10 books? Are you interested in keys or complete runs? What characters make you feel like a kid again? Your tastes will evolve as you get more experience, that's part of collecting, but buy what you like, not what you think you "should" buy. Maybe pick up some desirable books in good but not perfect condition and save a bunch of money, gain experience, then dive in deeper and see where the ride takes you. Happy hunting!
