There is a Chinese food store in Stratford Old Mall which has a lot more fresh produce than most of the Tian Tian stores and any of these other stores i have found. We got a nice fresh durian from them last year and some moon cakes but would have bought so much more if we were prepared for that visit but it was random. Would really recommend that place to you. Its next door to Halifax bank indoors 😊
Most enjoyable! It felt like sightseeing without the expense. If you did more like this, even showing the little shops that you find disappointing, I think many of us would appreciate it. You’ll also save time compared to your cooking videos. Thank you!
Happy birthday! I imagine Aldgate has changed a lot, I remember how cheap there area was in comparison to any other central part of London. Looks like a nice store though!

Here, the Asian marts have Buddhist sections, where they may have not just refrigerated analogues, but also some shelf-stable stuff that is animal-free. It seems to me that this would be very efficient for stores to do, going forward, rather than frustrating a burgeoning demographic. Have you heard about Those Vegan Guys' "Why is there milk in this?" campaign, #WITMIT ? Enjoyed this haul of foods I have no familiarity with. Happy Birthday. It looks like a nice store. I recognized that Makgeolli bottle right away. I drank many a bottle of it when I was in Seoul. The chestnut flavor is pretty good. There's also a corn flavor and a banana. I can't get bottled Mak in Mexico, so I make my own using Maangchi's recipe. I buy a bunch of Nuruk when I'm in the States and haul it back. You should definitely do a comparison video of the noodles you bought. Mikey Chen has a series where he goes in and buys as many noodles from H-Mart or other stores as he can and compares them.
Happy Birthday! Great store! I could spend hours there just browsing! We had an Asian supermarket in my hometown. It was in the basement of a Department store that closed down. I was hoping they‘d relocate but so far they didn‘t. I always ended up buying too much! Wow, Enokis for £ 2? In Germany you get them for 0,99 € !
I love the Asian markets too - but I'm careful , otherwise it's easy to have a 1000.00 shopping cart - everything looks so good ! and so reasonable - I just wish the VEGAN label would go international , it takes forever to examine the contents , and I ask hundreds of questions ! I have to add , it always amazes me how much east asian food resembles certian Italian foods , that can be so hard to find now , there are Japanese cakes ( actually dry syrup covered twisted crackers ) which come so close to Christmas treats from Bari , amazing ! anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY , ALL GOOD LUCK AND HAPPINESS !
Love your videos! Have you considered using reusable bags for your supermarket shopping though? Hurts to see plastic bags still being used, especially when most Asian supermarket foods are already heavily wrapped in plastic 💔

Wow I did not know that "sunshine" brand is under Coca Cola as well. Had them in 80s in HK. Thought they must have been bought out, but nope. Been always under Coca Cola. TIL!
