Holy smokes! That looked like a labyrinth...that comb just kept going and going and going! Love watching you cut them bees out. Great job capturing it! And thanks for the tag too:)
@@NaturesImageFarmGregBurns I don't know. Brian might get a little jealous and then we would have to have him too...nothing would get accomplished with that kinda crew
@@nightraider7579 Don’t see why. They’re very smart and they do just as much as bees. Some ant species line their nest with fungi to prevent disease & bacteria
Good stuff Yappy. I’m glad there are people like you that enjoy doing these removals. I love my bees but will leave removals to people like you and my friend Rusty.
That was a huge hive with a very large amount of bees. I would have been scared I admit. Not my forte' of doing in person. Glad that someone else is there to do it. Have a great day
"BOOYA! GOT'ER!" What a line for such a job. Well done! I just started my own hive for the first time, and every time I watch you I get more stoked about bees!
Can’t ever be simple!. Love it! Much respect to the ones who do cut outs. I’ve been keeping bees since around 1995 and have never done one and don’t care to do one. It’s a needed specialty in Beekeeping. Keep the great videos coming Yappy. Sending love from NC
Hey fellow NCer small world! Just curious what part of NC do you keep your bees? I live in the Raleigh area and was thinking about starting but was wondering if it's a good area too 😄
@@thesidelinebeekeeper-craig6924 awesome thanks so much for the response! Hope things are going well for you in your neck of the woods was a pleasure to "meet" a fellow north carolinian 😁
So what am I to do if I cannot find someone local to do a cut out? Call the exterminator? I would much rather relocate the bees if possible rather than kill them. Maybe pay Yappy to come up north?
I always wish I could add more but as a 1 man crew this stuff is hard to do 2 jobs at the same time. I'm glad I get to share what I can with all the great responses.
I just recently got into the science of bee keeping and how the life of a bee colony operates and this is this channel is exactly what I was looking for! I love your videos and keep helping those awesome black and yellow insects that we know and love so much:)
Man, those bees made such a cozy home behind these boards. I totally get why the owner wanted them gone but it is a little sad that they had to move out.
I love this. I am allergic so this is great. I can see and lean without coming in contact with them. They are fascinating creatures. Thanks for taking us along
Yappy, that was a decent size hive as you well know! When did you perform this cutout? Hey folks if you’re not subscribed, PLEASE DO! See how close Yappy is to hitting 100k and reviving a silver play button????
HI Yappy & Hi Furry Jacketed Ladies how Are You All Today ?? :) I Hope Yappy Gave You A Home With Him ?? Our Furry Jacketed Ladies Are Keepoing Warm In Their Hives With Extra Food Provided As It Is Too Cold & Wet For Them To Go Foraging Yet!! They Are Sensible lol :)
You and the Dirt Rooster can have all the hard cut outs. I’ll take every easy one that I can get. Great job on the cut out buddy glad it was you and not me. God‘s peace brother
Lol.....your bees feel so sorry for you they just build at the stand instead of flying away and making you have to work to get them back... pretty cool thing you taught them.
I am just intrigued by bee hives and bees. When I was a kid we lived in a very old. big house(probably built in 1800's) and we would get bee swarms in the walls. I watched my Dad do a lot of what you are doing, locating the queen, moving her to a location where he wanted the hive, and sometime later, getting out some of the honeycomb so that we had honey for our use. Seemed like Dad knew how to do just about anything......not like today's generation. I sure miss those times with Dad(I'm now 75) and I'm glad I got to work with him all the time around the ranch. I really enjoy your uploads.
Yappy, I LOVE 💕 this video. It ends too soon! I want it to keep going. Wow, that was a mess of bees. I came back to watch a second time and now a third. I can’t get over how brave you are.
Nice. . You guessed it, spot on. Dang, a cell right on the edge. Seems like that comb being between those support beams would work out for placing in a hive. Dang, that is a good sized colony there. . Awesome time there. Thanks for sharing. . 🐝🐝
I was so glad they had a drop ceiling in the basement. That would have been a horrid mess if not. But I sure did enjoy it after I finally finished...wink wink
Dude I love your videos and the information that you display with handling these small creatures with care, I'm definitely clicking that bell and subscribing!
Thanks for keeping us entertained during the long cold winter, tonight it’s going down to -30 C [sorry you’ll have to do the calculation I’m in Canada🥶] for you to put on a bee suit they must’ve been some honorary bees!
They were for a bit because of all the cutting but it didn't take long to settle them down. Their temperament would have kept you warm during that chill you got going on up there for sure.
Yappy! Thank you very much for every video you put out! Not 3 days ago did I see one for the first time and since then I've probably watched 20 or so lol I was climbing a tree when I was 13 (42 now) and my head bumped right into a nest. I fell down hard, ran down the block with a broken ankle, got stung a whole bunch of times and had been scared of them since. I've never wanted to kill one because of how important they are to nature and us as humans; but your videos give me a whole new outlook on them. Seeing you calm as a cucumber surrounded by hundreds of bees is amazing.
I just found you. I love watching you mess with the bees. Every time a bee flew by the camera, I jumped like a baby. Lol. You did that with a suit on for only a few min! That’s crazy.
Ah yes . . . . the birth of a new universally accepted apiary term. "Yappy Eye", as in "dang that was a hot hive. just as soon as I pulled to top cover they gave me the Yappy Eye" : - D
I would like a good educational video about the different cells (like brood, honey, pollen), life, jobs, queens, new and old, do they kill new ones if she flies away. I know a queen will often kill s young Queen ( don't mess with momma), but she also purposely Lay's other queens. A complete understanding of all that goes on inside, outside. So much Beewilderment, so little time.
Hello Yappy i like you in the suit as i know your safe you are amazing at what you do and congrat to the camera girl too i would be running lol.. yahoo more videos love it tons of bees omg i get goosebumps just looking at them all and here the buzzing in my ear eeks Stay safe love your videos your amazing..so glad i found this channel...
@@YappyBeeman there no bother really it's not massive (I don't think) I like watching them do there thing it's quite mesmerising and makes me watch more of your Videos haha. Hope your all good and staying busy Yappy
@@YappyBeeman I can’t wait until some cutout’s come up for me. Taylor Boys over in Charlotte NC have a couple that we’re going to do together sometime.
That was pretty much it. Space was tight and I had to control the lighting to keep the bees from flying so it was hard to get much of any video. Nothing but cleanup after that for the most part. Thank you for the comment and watch for more to come soon.
I grew up with bees. My father was considered the BEE Man of Wichita (Kansas) when I was small till jr high, I watched almost everything he did, from making hives to harvesting. I used to Still have his Smoker
My local beekeeper have told everyone "in case of beehives on your property, don't call exterminators or something like that, call me, i'll remove them for free without killing them"
It's videos like this that made me realize over reactions to bees are why I was getting stung. Little girls just checking shit out then a giant monster starts waving its arms around poor thing was probably more scared than I was. Love bees now.
