Baby Blue Carlz yeah you basically get everything wet. most Koreans rinse their bathroom with water while in shower. i usually keep my clothes outside of the bathroom door

Baby Blue... the bathroom is always wet. You use plastic bathroom slippers when you enter your bathroom. When you take a shower, just lift the toilet seat to keep it from getting wet. The toilet roll is protected by a stainless steel cover. You will only store bathroom things in the bathroom - in the little cupboard. There is a mirror, too. And an extractor fan.

+Kaito There is a lot of problems with mold, and one has to take great care to avoid it. I usually leave the bathroom window slightly ajar all day, even in winter. Sometimes I keep the extractor fan going all day. I also often use the dehumidifying function of the aircon. If one doesn't fight the mold, it will definitely fight you!

Kaito actually just taking precautions. i would also recommend an anti-mold spray for the tiles and ceiling during summer which is hot and very humid.

Sorry, EPIK requires a bachelor's degree. However, there's also the TaLK program, which is more flexible. Because so many people are applying as teachers in Korea these days, it's competitive (at least for the bigger cities), so your degree is what sets you apart. Take a look here to find out more. Hey Jeannette! Thank you very much, I've tried to make it as cozy as I can kekeke. Hmm well, I've had experience with living by myself in the states during university, and I've also lived abroad twice during university. I've always been really aware of my surroundings, you have to be, especially as a woman. (Which is completely unfair and sucks really) However, living in Korea (there have been 2 isolated events where I was sexually harassed in the streets [in daylight].) and I'm putting that in there just to show that not every place is perfect- however- a big big however. Despite those 2 times I've never felt like I need to look over my shoulder. Korea for the most part is safe, and I'm being honest when I tell you that I feel safe here. Like when I've walked home or at night in nyc (usa) I always had to be aware of my surroundings and be hyper aware of things especially at night. But here in Korea that idea doesn't even cross my mind. I can come home really late, or take a walk at night and I honestly dont ever feel like I need to be overly cautious like how I was back in the states. In terms of someone breaking into your house- that has literally never crossed my mind. There's not so much houses as there are apartments, and even in your apartment you need to have a code to get into the building, and the code for your actual door. Plus there's cctv around the building and sometimes in the building as well (cctv is like big brother- which is a double edged sword tbh) But like the only time I've felt scared living alone here is when I thought there was a ghost cause I psyched myself out after watching a scary movie lmao. of course you should always be careful, and cautious of your surroundings thats the smart thing to do, however in my experience I've probably let down my defenses more since I've been here.

Oh- well the apartment is 500- but my work would give me a housing allowance of 400- so that's why I only had to actually pay 100 :) But yeah overall this is a super cheap apartment. However- it's also because it was in Daejeon- not a super huge city like Seoul. Where this size apartment would probably be well over 2000 ;; - ;; But thank you so much for commenting~!!!
