Happy new year!!! I've been excited about this one for a while now, I hope you all enjoy :) all equipment/decor used in this tank ► kit.co/the_TurtleGirl/leopard-gecko-kit
I've never been first reply but I am now and happy new year.. Recently my red eared slider hatched a two headed slider. I would give my life to protect it tbh Edit: thanks for the info once again! In my opinion you have never failed at giving the most info possible and all of my animals are doing well because of you and like 3 other youtubers. But mostly you
I have a question and I figured replying directly to your comment might have a better chance of getting a response. Since you really seem like you what you’re doing (based on the research I’ve done), I’m thinking of getting a leopard gecko so here’s my question- since you give him a little container of calcium, do you still dust his food (whatever insects you feed) with calcium too? (I’m also sorry if you’ve answered this in another video, this is the first video I’ve seen of yours but also a new subscriber!!) Great work! 💞
Magnatural shelves are awesome also! My geckos use them ALL the time, mine have large lows also and utilize ALL the space! More cork rounds that he can crawl into and Flukers reptile plants strewn around the setup work well! Congrats little Kuzo!
Hey you might have tried this or heard of it but I love my wyze camera for my Leo. It is a 30 dollar waterproof camera on Amazon and it is amazing to see my gecko explore at night with the night mode and maybe you could do a video about it and play around with the camera! Btw I love your videos and you are the main reason I have my little girl today so thank you.
I agree with going big like in the wild but in the wild thay find small places that make them feel safe so a bigger enclosure isn’t always better but for a bigger gecko it’s ok or a pair
I’m planing on getting a 6 month - 1 year old gecko and my dad surprised me with a 114cm vivarium and I was a lil worried it be too big after searching on the internet so this has really reassured me that the vivarium is the best choice
Well said! I honestly think an enclosure can’t be “too big” because they all came from the wild at one point and that’s endless space and they thrive pretty well there. Also as far as the tank goes it looks great! The only thing I would add is maybe switch out the cork bark for some slate layered so some is slanted to climb as it holds heat and is nice for them. Love the tank though, great gecko mom!
The tank looks so prettyy 💕 if you were to put the probe on top of the substrate then you’d see how the temperature is for your gecko, it will seem a little hotter than it actually is. (Just a suggestion)
I like the way you beautify your canal, it is very cute and adorable, especially with reptiles !!! My favorites are leopard gecko and Axolotl. Good luck watching!
Turtle boi i saw him start walking when she was talking about his hot hide, it was so cute when he walks because i’ve never really paid any attention to how Leopard Geckos walk
How did you get kuzan to first start coming on to your hand to be handled? I've had my leo for about a week and want to start handling it, but how do I get her out if she likes to stay in her warm hide? Is it frowned upon to pick up their hide, since you want that to be their safe place?
I wouldn’t during the day or late at night, but if you could during around dawn/dusk times when they are more active that would be better. Let it get used to your hand. I realize this is a bit late but yeah, I’d say it’s okay. Just watch for signs of stress.
hey, do you put salt in your diamondback terrapins tank? I want to get one, and want to make sure i take care of the water properly, i must have missed it, if you and Dan use salt, and if you do how much and where is best/cheapest place to get some?
Hi! I’m a big fan!! I have a leopard gecko named toothless I have had him since December 26 and rn it’s aug 29. I was wondering when is the average time would be be full grown and is 20 gal enough? (Ps I love ur vids sm!!!) 💗
Jake Skowronski Get a leo. They aren’t that hard to take care of but they are normally active at dawn and dusk due to them being crepuscular but they are still great pets to keep! Remember to research before you buy though!
Hey! So is the vinyl flooring like a roll of it?? Or literally like the thicker strips of flooring??? Because o have flooring from when we did the bathroom but then I was like the heater might not reach through it?
If you just got him recently and he's not eating, you might just need to give him more time to settle in. You can also check out this vid I did on turtles refusing food -> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-45gJ-4sLxoM.html
Hello! I'm super impressed with your enclosure! I know you made this video a near year ago and probably dont even check the comments for this video. BUT IN CASE YOU DO SEE THIS: I highly recommend adding a ceramic heat emitter to raise the overall temp to around 80-85°. I know they absorb heat through there belly, but having an emmitter does heat the ground more than you think! You will find your leo basking a lot more! Trust me, I have 12 Leo's. They also all have the T5 arcadia shade dweller lamp light which I've noticed has REALLY brightened there skin and eyes. That's just me spoiling my animals though.
Hey! Can somebody inform me on vinyl tile for leopard geckos? I want to switch mine to that but I want to know if the heating pad or lamp can overheat the tiles!
Very nice tank you made!! It's just a question but arent you supposed to use some kinda soil? Just a question though 😁 i own a leopard gecko for about a year now and i really love those creatures, they are so cute and funny 😁 the only thing that's sad is mine is not that much of cuddler, she likes to be let alone.
They should have a suitable loose substrate for digging enrichment. Good options include zoo med’s reptisoil, a mix that’s 60% top/potting soil and 40% playsand (or a soil/sand/clay mix), Arcadia earth mix arid, or Terra Sahara from the bio dude.
I was looking through the comments and noticed no one ever responded to you, I would say yes that's normal as leopard geckos have a "pooping spot" that's one spot they like to poo, maybe just move where the jar is in the tank and it'll stop doing its business in it
Would the 24x18x12 be good enough as well, or is this the best to get?? I’m new to reptiles and want everything to be comfortable for my future leopard gecko):
