I was stressing out because my baby turtle was rejecting pellets and it had been a week and a half 😭 but, I stopped giving them snacks, and today, he finally ate the pellets :D
I agree with everything she said except Tank decorations. I have a full grown RES that I've had for 14 years & every time I put decorations in her tank she completely destroys them & if it's something big, she keeps playing with it & banging it against the tank walls to the point it may break the glass. Once, I put new suction cups in her tank to hold the air hoses & she realized something new was in her tank & she kept biting it off the glass. Maybe my RES is just destructive, but I keep my turtle tank clear of any decorations. If you can suggest something else I haven't tried, I'm all ears. I'm never too old to learn something new.
I NEEDED THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched your videos for over a year now. And i believe i know almost all that i need to raise a turtle. Hoping to get a RES soon, i can only find hatchlings in my area though so yeah I'm trying to learn more about hatchlings specifically. Thank you so much , your videos are very helpful and also fun to watch❤
I am sorry about your pets. I literally just found you today because I was desperately trying to find turtle setups after a tornado deposited a baby water turtle in my house. I loved your videos and was so sad to hear your heartbreak. I hope you will be back to videos soon!
Hi turtle girl, I have a bridge pipe. My first tank I have two adult repeated sliders. The second tank for baby Flyriver. My question is, how often do I have to change the water? Second question: Is it okay to mixed the water with adult turtles to baby flyriver?
I'm not sure if you will get this. New turtle owner here. I've been told not to use the compact UVB because they dont give off enough uvb, but i see you use the compact. Im getting so overwhelmed on what to use.
Hello there! I rescued a musk turtle recently and i am kind of new to this, could you please help me how/what I should be feeding it? I tried with some dried shrimps crickets floating food but seems like it’s not liking it.. Any suggestions please?

Hello, I had a Red Eared Slider crawl into my garage one week ago. I have no idea where he came from as there is no water near me for three city blocks a drainage pond. Posted notes all around for my neighbors no one claiming him. He is a full grown adult like 10 inches long 6 inches wide. Looks good and healthy. Moves around very well. What should I do with this guy...he is staying in my backyard loves sleeping under a leaf pile. I have no water tank to put him in. I don't think he can eat without food floating in water right? I did not even know he was a Slider till one day he stuck his head all the way out extended and I saw the red ears. I thought he was a tortoise. How should I feed this guy? He has to be hungry as heck! What should I feed him? I was hanging on to him thinking a neighbor was going to claim him...but nothing from my posted signs. Should I see if there is a reptile rescue or does he deserve a pond or river I can take him to? I am in California I know they are not indigenous to this area. I am afraid rescue might not treat a full grown adult well. Appreciate your advice! Thx Mitch in California
My dad will NOT let me get a cat because they are messy and smell but I told him that I can clean and make it smell good but still no so I am going to try all the things that u said 😅❤
