Just picked one up, although wasn't planning to. Solid deal. How do you like the BMCC6K compared to the C70? Are you planning to do a comparison video?
This must be destiny. I was planning to buy this one in the next 2 weeks. Sorry unfortunately your affiliate link doesn't work for me here in Germany. (And Amazon still has the old price)
No such thing as a "Sale". means they been overcharging 1000, because they are still going to make profit with the "sale". they must of needed room in the warehouse or something. 😁 the Pysix, 3k cost plus accessories, about 2k cost, not looking like a good deal.
Everyone has their own perspective on value and I can see that. I definitely don't think this camera, (and especially the Pyxis) is over priced for what these cameras are. These are Cinema cameras not hybrid mirrorless cameras. Comparing them to other cinema cameras with similar features, the cheapest you can go is the Z-Cam F6 Pro at $4K body only, but really we are looking for at something like the Kinefinity Mavo LF 2 at $6K body alone and you will put another $3K-$4K to get it up and running properly for professional and paid gigs. Given that, these cameras are bargains at their initial asking prices.
@@JamesJacksonFilmz If anything I'd argue the FX 3 is over priced sense it's a A7S III in a cinema body and cant film open gate even though it's a full frame camera.
not planned but I grabbed one.. let’s see what happens now with this move. I know cameras don’t make you a better creative but I’ve been using DaVinci for 6 years with many sony’s and my personal GH5s. i’ve always been curious about BRAW. i don’t do high budget work, it’s mostly events and social media campaigns but I’m down to try something new with this camera and its files that integrate with my software flawlessly.
as a long time black magic user. A cage and a battery solution is a MUST. For the 6k Full frame Im going with a small Rig 50 V mount mini battery with a D-Tap cable to the camera's charging point and a Tilta cage and a little Vmount plate I can slap on top.
@@MrCoffis Pyxis is a less shitty body mostly. That's what it has going for it the most. Easier to rig out less awkward to hold thus will be easier to put on a gimber. But at 1500. I have no problem suffer with the same body lay out I been use to for 6 years now.
I was in the same boat as you… but yea, it’s the same sensor and specs… and honestly this version is easier/lighter to use on my current steady cam. The screen is right on the back and I can easily see and operate it. The Pyxis looks great… but I’d have to get a monitor, steady cam w/vest, or gimbal. Pocket form factor is simple. I’ll get a PYXIS PRO if they ever add an articulating screen.
@@Breonnick i mean they could change the adc of the camera to improve the low light performance this camera has. Because it really is a noisy camera even compared to the 6K pro. So even if the sensor is the same noise might be less if they build in better electronics.
They said it in the twitter post. They said it on there website. And B&H as we speak says the sale ends tomorrow May 31'st. sooooo........yea. Limited time.
