Apparently during part of this video, grass got disabled for a few minutes because I messed around with the timescale. It was fixed after I fast traveled but I still feel bad. Therefore, I'm going to showcase the full 4 seasons in Whiterun here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vvWRFYKnrFI.html&ab_channel=biggie_boss
Can you please stop drooling over and advertising paid modlists? I don't see why the author of this modlsit should be paid while the author of the single mods composing the modlist don't pretend any such reward. This modlist is a slap on the face on the entire modding comunity and its author is setting a very bad precedent. And no, you can't rethort that "v4 is free" because that version is not receiving ANY bugfix. The only bugfixing is happening on the PAID version. This is completely in bad faith and pure dishonesty.
@@randomthings1293 V5 is out of beta now though, so it's open to the public. Also, almost every modlist author has a patreon page. In the end, the drama isn't worth arguing over because automated modlists themselves were controversial until relatively recently. Wabbajack got a lot of outrage when it first came out.
@@randomthings1293 there’s absolutely NO reason for comments like this. Vektor is ONE person, who created an entire Installer and the list IS free. It was only available on Patreon for Beta testing. I’m an author myself, and I FULLY support what Vek has done for the community. If you are a broke bitch, just say so and quit your whining like a 5 year old. Or better yet, keep your negativity to yourself. No one is forcing anyone to donate, because that’s what it is…donating to someone who put ALOT of time into what he does. Just like Halgari made Wabbajack, Vektor made his own installer. Getting tired of seeing asshats making retarded comments like this. 🖕
What kind of combat mods does this build use, when all good combat mods does still require older skyrim to function? Which version of skyrim is this created for? 1.6.65?
I know the reason why Bethesda does not release ES6. They area afraid of being humiliated by the modding community if their ES6 quality is lower than this 13-year-old game!
Wow.....the detail on the paving stones and wooden floors in Riften was incredible. I don't even usually notice those kind of things. Thanks for the review.
Riften tends to be the least-touched city I feel like in most modpacks and city overhauls. Looks very nice in here. I'd be curious to see somebody bring ESO's Riften design to Skyrim.
@@nikolaykolay3912 I have a 6900xt, sort of equivalent to a 4070. For me, the card is fine, but I am CPU limited with a Ryzen 7 3700x. I am only getting around 29-35 fps but GPU utilization is between 50-65 percent. Depending on what your cpu is, the 4070 should be more than good enough. I have noticed that the game will at times use all my 16 gigs of vram, but usually hovers around 12-14 gigs. The game uses between 14 - 20 gigs of ram. I have 64 gigs, so its not a problem. They say you can run the game with 16, but I think 32 would be a safer bet.
*Truly amazing mod pack. I might get into playing Skyrim again because of this and it’s Automatic process feature as well, I couldn’t get mine to work reason why I quit a long time ago. I may need to get a new SSD for this.*
hey man i love your playthroughs as i get a glimpse of the experience within the modpack, i suggest trying out living skyrim 4! it seems to be the biggest competitor rn and it would help a lot of us on deciding which to pick between nolvus and ls4
Yeah. LS4 was actually my first modlist quicklook that I made a few weeks ago, but I (think) I've improved in terms of quality since then so I'll have to revisit it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7zqAStlXOWc.html&ab_channel=biggie_boss
I'm playing through it currently :) I have a few episode out, start here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-w4qB6dwoO68.html&ab_channel=biggie_boss
Yeah, I was still very green to all this when I made this video. I did end up doing a 9 episode let's play if you want to see some interior lighting :)
This mod list is actually VERY customisable. I've been using the beta for over 2 weeks and added about 120 mods. Zmerge, loot (only to see plugin placement, not to apply!) & cathedral asset optimiser make it just as stable as the unmodded version. You have room for maybe 15 eps or esms. You can then merge all the esps when you go over that, separating each merge into 4 or 5 places in the plugin order as suggested by loot. (eg character mods can be merged and placed in the 600 range, late loaders at the bottom etc). Zmerge (merge down - improved setting) and proper load order placement (by running loot, but not applying it to see where the new mods should go, see errors or patches). Then running cathedral asset optimiser to pack loose mods into bsas to keep loading times down, plus xedit for any other issues, this mod list is the most customisable huge mod list I've ever used.
Yeah but I think the majority of modlist users aren't going to be merging esps and whatnot. But for sure those that do can probably squeeze even more into Nolvus.
@@Warlonging Just look up the 4 tools. Somthing I wish I was told in just a paragraph a few years ago when I first started making big mod lists. It makes sure things stay stable and still load fast on top of a preinstalled mod list by just following like 4 or 5 steps. Otherwise things keep breaking and crashing or your waiting 5min to start up and the simplest thing can cause it. Loot is your best friend here but never apply the load order or you mess up everything on preinstalled lists. Oh also run elsify before you merge anything to see if you can esl flag something. Explore Nexus and play around with things.
Looks good, hoping it's more stable then v4.Had to stop playing that version because of the crashes and constant stuttering.Hopefully v5 cleans up most of those issues.Because graphically it was definitely the best looking modpack I've played.
Looks awesome. Might have to try this out sometime. Was wondering though, what is the UI the mod is using? I like how it displays the time, gold, and carry weight.
Until you get insulted by everyone like I did in Oblivion xD Was really hard improving my image. And than I played as an Imperial in Skyrim and got insulted by everyone once again :/
Wish there was a way i could turn off the custom sounds, animations, and completely skipping beginner quests. Alternate start was a better approach in my opinion
Ik it sounds absurd. But I just want a modpack that has like 10,000 compatible mods. Minor crashes. Just something a whole new game experience. There are modpacks that state they're a whole new game sorta but they just still feel like Skyrim, it's like adding sugar to tea, it's still tea. I want a whole new game, might be crazy. But still striving for a packed down modpack
'thats a really creepy loading screen' Me: EXACTLY hahahaahhaha i dont get scared easily but that Babette loading screen creeps me out and she's literally staring at you for the whole duration of the loading 😂😅
Depends on the boss from what I've found as well as which build you go. With EnaiRim some builds are busted and others aren't. Still, it's a power-fantasy setting with tons of cool combat animations so the sky's the limit :)
I have a 2080 super. I have to use redux, disable all lighting effects, enable the FPS stabilizer and scale resolution from 1440 to 1080 to maintain 60FPS.
For anyone who plays with Nolvus playlist, how many draw calls do you get in Winterhold? I get 12k+ and my FPS go to 50-55 and the camera gets all stuttery.
@@leelo4717 As someone who has now tried it I would recommend for you to try the redux version, even then you may struggle. Main differences between full and redux is the city overhauls and a few other things as well, but city overhauls is the big one. I would recommend tweaking Bethini settings and if you have the FSR 2.0 upscaler I would recommend installing it and setting it to quality or balanced on that card.
I would love to try this (since it's been few years since i touched skyrim) but i feel like my i7-7700K with 1070 and 32gb ram has not enough pwr to run this... so i would have to invest in a new rig first...
I have a lot of questions, which may include a few stupid ones too as I relatively new to the modding community. Is this simply a premade mod list? Does it include an enb? Can you pick and chose what mods are included? Is it difficult to setup? I use MO2, should I delete my current mods to use Novlus? I downgraded skyrim to SE for mod compatibility, do I need to restore it to AE? How much storage do I need available? I’m “upgrading” to a ryzen 5 5600x and a RTX 3070, how well can this really run Novlus? Thanks for the vid!
Thanks for watching! For any modlist, it's recommended that your Skyrim folder is fresh and squeaky clean. Most of these modlists use a game root folder or stock game folder in MO2 so that you can have multiple of them installed on your PC and they won't touch your Skyrim SE files (they even have SKSE installed through MO2). TLDR: I recommend a new Skyrim SE installation if there is anything in there that shouldn't be. Definitely restore AE for Nolvus V5. V4 is SE though. Regarding customization and if your PC can handle it. With a 3070 I think you could probably run it at 1080p since I am 1440p with a 3080 ti. If it is too much, you can try to redux version which cuts down some of the visuals. It has a few customization features from the installer like choosing your resolution, fake ray tracing, physics, how high the ini settings are, nudity, how you level up, etc. It does come with an enb as well. For storage, you need a minimum of 300GB if you are disabling archiving (saving the downloaded files for later) otherwise probably about 500GB. The setup itself is pretty easy, the installer does 99.9% of the work for you.
@@biggie_boss Appreciate the response! Another couple questions for you: Can you switch enbs and how easy is it to downgrade to redux version from full version?
@@Xevothian Sorry, YT doesn't notify me for replies of replies. You'd have to manually switch ENBs. Regarding downgrading, it's basically like a whole new install. If you've archived the downloads, at least you won't have to redownload the files.
Dude, you kinda turned grass off 11 minutes in. Can't really tell how it's supposed to look because of it. The rest looks incredible though, I'd say this might be the best modpack ever made
So I have a LG C2 and I can’t run this list on my gpu at 4k. I can downscale to 1440p but my desktop zooms in, the scaling is off. Does anyone know how to fix that??
For Skyrim Together, I recommend a modlist called "Fahluaan" that's on Wabbajack, this won't work with it. Regarding size, you'll need roughly 400 GB for the full version and 300 GB for the redux version if you're doing it all on one drive. I released a guide recently that goes over how to utilize multiple drives to save some space, you might wanna check it out :)
You need AE since this uses creation club content. Most modlists also auto-downgrade for you without modifying your game files if they use non-AE. TLDR: Just use AE when using Nolvus or Wabbajack modlists and you'll be fine :)
hey dude, hope you’re still checking comments here. Ive got nolvus installed as well, but I can’t figure out how to do the jump shots with a bow. How did you get that to work?
Hey if anyone reads this I kind of have a question that I couldn’t find the answer to. Sooner or later I’m going to buy a 4070 and install a mod list. I tried installing a nexus collection but I gave up after a few weeks of nonstop work because stuff like dyndolod was a pain in the butt to work with and I gave up because of this. Then I saw Nolvus which supposedly takes care of prerequisites like dyndolod. If it does that, then I will install that . What I’m wondering though is if Wabbajack does the same thing as Nolvus does, just install the collection and not have to worry about dyndolod or SKSE and etc… . Edit: also can this mod pack be playable with an Xbox controller, I’m bad with mouse and keyboard. Thank you
@biggie_boss Ok cause I have Windows 11 and it doesn't seem to work for me, and I was thinking about downgrading since it specifically says Windows 10 on thier website.
2000 Mods, yea, 70% are patches ^^ Im a long time modder, and my current install has 1700, and 75% are patches, and no offend, but Nolvus looks not so good, it has a very generic look with many standart mods, nothing exotic or mods difficult to manage, its nice, but nothing what kicks you from your chair and leave your mouth open, but you have made a great video ;)
Redux most likely. You could push for 1080p on ultra though and see how it runs. Might need to either get the paywalled DLSS or turn down the ini settings though.
Do you know what to do when nolvus gets stuck installing/downloading the last mod (enb)? Because i cannot get it to finish and everyone at the nolvus discord completly ignored me when i asked for help.
Update for anyone who needs this fix. Make sure your dps scaling is 100% I had 120% and that's what made it all weird. Now I can start the game just fine but after a few saves my game crashes and I cannot reload any of my old save files from that same character. So I'm still screwed. Any ideas are welcome
It would be really awesome except for the combat. I just cant play a game where people attack faster than the speed of light. I prefer more realistic combat moves. Beautiful MOD though.
auto install not working for me unfortunately. I have all the requirements that the site mentions. at the end of the dashboard, I get an error saying I need the dwesanctuary.bsa which I believe it's in AE version( I own the updated se). which version works the best? do I need the 1.5.97 version? what do I need to make it work on just SE?
Keizaal, Redoran and The Phoenix Flavour - Dragon's Edition you might check out. They won't be crazy overhauls like Nolvus, but they all touch up the cities and are more performance friendly.
@@biggie_boss I take it you mean most collections, and yes that is sadly true, but this was the only one that made me wanted me to re-install and play. I guess if I want to I'll have to go back to using Steam, but I really hate that platform. It's more like a virus than many actual viruses.
Yes messing around with console commands to change time for seasons can break the grass, seems to be fixed after he reverted back and fast travelled to other areas
@@TheVektor2012 SInce I got a reply from the author of the modlist themselves: I don't see why YOU should be getting paid for development while the author of the single mods that you are using FOR FREE don't pretend any such reward. And putting forward the excuse that "v4 is free" is not the justification you think it is, since from what I know you're not providing ANY bugfixing for the free version. You're doing it only for the PAID one. You're a dishonest actor and you're setting a VERY bad precedent for the modding community.
@@randomthings1293 I think you are the dishonest actor because not only is v5 now public as in free, it also was only in closed as in paid for literally 21 days. Modlist authors also put just as much effort as modders themselves in most cases(stuff like beyond Skyrim is an exception). He so stopped bug fixing v4 as i understand it for the same reason a lot of wabbajack lists stopped updating for a good while, mods got depreciated and out dated bc of Anniversary Edition. If you are uncapable of understanding these simple concepts maybe you should step away from commenting on them. Lively led a crusade and it promptly flopped to any reasonable person simple because not one single issue he put forth lasted a week. all bugs he showed are gone, jedi trees gone, paid to play gone so shush it.
Is there a more realistic modlist then this.the jumpshots assasins creed like action .this is more of a n action mod list I'd want something more survival hard-core etc. Also not a big fan on most of the changes like characters looking like models and certain locations not lore friendly.it just seems like a not focused modlist. I wish they have made two versions one more lore friendly and survivalist and other that's with more non friendly additions
I'm always gonna recommend Do Not Go Gentle for people who wants a harder experience, lore-friendliness and modern combat. It has MCO but the animations and movement are not as fast as other MCO lists. No eating/drinking requirements but there are things like sleep, no health regen, alternative fast travel, etc.
Skyrim the Journey the russian modpack is better both visually and content wise its way more immersive. This is too flashy that is breaks immersion just to look next gen
The Journey is literally pirated content that steals from mod authors. Wabbajack helps mod authors get paid for their hard work. Don't use The Journey.
