Song - "You Will Be Found" from Dear Evan Hansen starts at 2:36 Hugh Jackman: The Man. The Music. The Show Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York June 29, 2019 (1 pm show)
Imagine for a second: Connor's dad is singing after Connor's funeral and everyone else leaves the cemetery. He's sitting next to the fresh dirt and flowers near his son's gravestone. (that's what I like to imagine)
Not unpopular at all. Hugh Jackman is a Baritone and this song is usually sung in a Tenor's range so it's not that this is necessarily bad, just sounds weird for people who have heard this song before.
I agree, not only the Range of his Baritone (Vs Tenor as pointed out by DJ M), but I think just his general style of voice is less suited to 'pop' type songs, be they from musicals or not. I still enjoy his stuff because he always comes across as kind and sincere, but this was not my favorite thing he's ever done.
@@cryofpaine he actually kinda sucks compared to trained vocalists. He's likable and pretty in movies, therefore people are willing to excuse his bad singing. If this exact sound came out of an unknown person, I promise you, you would not care for it.
@@cloudambient it's not bad singing, it's just not as good as others. I'd say similar to Lin Manuel Miranda. He can sing, but when you put him next to anyone in the Hamilton cast, he's clearly the weakest singer.
i saw him in australia and when he sung this, i had never heard of dear evan hansen or this song. i am so disappointed that i didn’t film this because every time i watch a video of it, i start crying. it’s just so beautiful and he does it so well
@@c0llapsingst4rs please listen to the DEH cast recording. its on Spotify and everywhere you can listen to music. Ben Platt (who plays Evan in the film is the original Evan on broadway and he is sings on the OBCR)
I know I only see him from the other side of a screen, but man, there’s just so much to Hugh that makes me genuinely joyful & thankful. He’s not perfect, I’m sure, but I’m thankful for all that he’s shared with us through his gifts and talents.
When u realize you were there and the wonderful Hugh Jackman who is Wolverine and Jean Valjean sang deh and you weren’t obsessed with deh back then and you just realize that now therefore going through your 111 photos and videos of the concert only to find multiple Live Photo’s and no videos but one Live Photo where he says: YOU WILL BE FOUND. Still not satisfied bc you don’t have a video that you filmed but ecstatic bc Wolverine sang your two favorite musicals- les MIs and deh. Oh wait. That’s my story that I just realized right now. Whoo
Being the middle kid is the worst. You get the flaws of being young and having the responsibilities of being older. There is no Perks of being the middle kid.
Just saw the Musical tonight. Very emotional point of the show. Musical was much more powerful than I expected. Didn't know what it was about before hand.
I first watched something with him in like 2019 when watching The Greatest Showman and I loved his voice. Watching this made me love his voice even more. This song is really great with his voice!
This was beautiful I'm crying I'm not the youngest I'm the oldest so it's not fun at all I wish I could go bac to m 12 year old self and say "Your life is finna be hell from the moment u turn 13 but its gonna be okay because they'll be people in your life who will be there for you and no it's not anyone related to you but people that you'll soon learn to love and be there with u to everything.People who show u your worth and show u that "Even in Your Darkest Times You Shine Brighter."And also that "Weak or Strong Right or Wrong Stand Or Fall Lose It All I am Enough" and I always have been.
Unpopular Opinion: The high female vocals were actually better than Hugh Jackman (I love Hugh Jackman, but damn there was some real talent in those backup singers)
Holy Shit (soo sorry) but Wow he plays piano sings acts and has a great body / voice. Sooo a male adult singing this brings me even more to tears and well its Hugh Jackman wow so f........ good ohh god so many people came out now the tears oh some many tears come crashing down.............
He keeps lying to himself (refusing to face reality), and the ppl around him keep lying to him. Because they don't care enough to tell him the truth. Triple threat, I think not. Hugh Jackman is not a talented singer. He sounds horrible. No vocal control. He sings in one setting. (You are a Baritone so get proper vocal training) He talk sings n ppl claps for it. Because it's Hugh Jackman. You all can adore someone n still be honest with them. Yes, he's a nice, charming, and handsome guy. It shouldn't affect his ability to do something well. You all keep allowing him to move in error and accepting his shortcomings. He sounds like crap n I still adore him
This is Ok, but does not suit his voice at all. Listen to Sam Smiths version, you will understand what I mean. After Sam's version this seems, well, amateurish, sorry Hugh!
