The Huion Kamvas 22 is one of the best pen displays I've used. The display is bright and colour accurate. The laminated display uses matte glass and has no gap.
You can buy this on Amazon and Huion's web store:

my wish-list would be, wireless connectivity, adhoc, wifi or new tech even. wireless charging. whole transparent glass display/body, 4k 120fps/8k 30fps. also hopefully adobe cloud computing service, so we can have overpowered desktop experience on the go. these tech above are already exist, but still not quite practical, let alone for display tablet. it's far more, but they're gonna be real on the next decade or so.

Done about a month of research on pen tablets this seemed like the best value for money for those that want the best budget beginner pen tablet in it's price range, and for the awesome tech it offers at this point In time😊 glad I pre-ordered the 22 plus instead of the 24 and got a free extra pen! Woot!... And the 24 was almost double the price, not worth it for a begginer like me I think. Especially since it will be my first ever pen display I need something easy to use that will be a joy to use! This ticks all the boxes, and the blue light protection helps also so my eyes Don't get damaged from staring at the screen all day 👍😁 love the quantum dot tech and screen technology! Can't wait for it to arrive!!! So excited! 😄 Having a good screen will help make it easier and faster for me to improve my drawing skills... A fast computer also helps too 😋. Getting a 3900x with x570 tomahawk wifi motherboard, 500gb Samsung Evo plus nvme and a sn550 1tb, lian lee lancool 2 mesh rgb, noctua d15 chromax, rm850x to power the software, 32gb Trident RGB ram 3600 cl16😁 I should have no reason to should fail at drawing hehe. Thankyou Huion! Hope it's as good as all the reviews say it is and I don't get a defective one lol very very small chance of that happening 😆 greetings from Australia!

I think I'll go with this rather than the 16 Pro. Get the big screen first so I don't have to upgrade later, colors are a little better, less lag, and I've never really had good experiences with hotkeys, having to reinstall driver if they stopped working, change with app I'm using, turning it upside down because I'm a leftie, etc; just use my keyboard instead. Also the stand is continuously adjustable, not discrete. I've had a Q11k v1 for years now, still works great, haven't even had to change a nib yet. So I know the brand is solid.

A well-detailed review. Love how you laid the text version for quick reference. This display looks great value for money. It might be a good upgrade to my ancient intous 3, which is still working flawlessly. I just hope this has reliability and durability as well. The warranty these days is short and no repair afterward in most regions, electronics are becoming more and more use and throw.

I considered a used Cintiq and there's a lot of DTK-2100s on Ebay for $200-250 and they came out in 2010. I had two XP pen Artist Pro 22r both had bad USB-C ports, slightest bump and they would disconnect, returned the second one today and ordered this ($520 on Amazon). If I get two years out of it I'll consider it a good buy, but if I had the money I'd buy a Wacom.

@@godzoookie I went for this last November because wacom was more than twice the price in my region. Kamvas is still working well so far and I am being extra cautios but every now and then I feel I should have gone with the Wacom for its flawless pen feel,durability and drivers. For me the Kamvas pen clearly lags a lot in Clip Studio(windows ink off) compared to Pshop. Warranty of 1 year is over, I am now just praying it holds on as is. If it fails earlier than expected, I will never go for anything other than Wacom even if I have to ditch the screen.

@@Userdoesnotexit I draw really small details in my art so being tight and responsive is my number one priority in a tablet. The Kamvas 22 is by far the best one Ive ever used, theres like almost no parallax. What I want to do with the drawing is what the pen does. I really recommend it dude! I use it everyday, if you want to be a Pro digital artist but have to budget for a drawing monitor. This one by far feels like the best bet for your hard earned money. I wouldnt recommend it if it wasnt that good. Im really getting a lot of great results in my drawings with it. This review is great! I’m very interested in this monitor tablet and this review has helped me a lot! Also I wanted to say, I don’t know if you mess too much with the pressure curve on the tablet, but pointing the curve downwards makes it that you have to put more pressure in the pen to get a thicker line and you said something about it during the review, it was because of your curve. I always make the pressure curve go upwards because I don’t like having to apply too much pressure to get thick lines and I think that has helped me save the pen nib of my tablets, because in 4 years I’ve only changed my nib once and it was very recently. With my previous tablet I also used the same nib for almost 5 years. Just a tip that will save you nibs 😂😂

Just got Huion Kamvas 20 (GT-191 v3 updated version not the v2) for 360 euros from Amazon recently. It doesn't have a full laminated, but it has pen tilt (60 degrees). It has an etched glass. I prefer drawing on this than on the Ipad Pro. One problem I had with the iPad pro 12.9 was that I managed to break the Apple Pencil (dropped on the floor), and replacing it meant spending another 99 euros. Simply maintaining the ipad pro for drawing (protective covers, pencil tips) over the past year was expensive. So I decided to switch to a pen display. Overall, my experience has been positive with the pen display, I prefer the larger drawing area. I didn't notice the paralex on the Huion pen display compared to my Ipad Pro. Whereas the paralex on the ipad 6th gen was more noticeable but the noise was more irritating. Drawing on Huion Kamvas 20 (GT-191 v3) display is a pleasant experience. The screen doesn't have any marks or scratches. Very happy with this purchase.

I noticed what appears to be input lag when you were doing fast strokes. Is that part of the tablet, or do you have stabilization turned on? I've heard that display tablets have input lag, which is why I'm asking.
@teohyc
@teohyc Год назад
There is input lag/latency. Even the iPad has input lag if you're drawing really quick. I don't think it affects drawing unless you're someone who draws fast all the time.

@caseymoore4759
@caseymoore4759 4 года назад
Depends on what you value the most. The 22 plus has a better screen color gamut and contrast wise. The 24 has shortcut keys and a sharper image. Personally I work with nothing but high res images and I have a live window on my main monitor. So I don’t mind losing a bit of sharpness in exchange for having my image on the tablet match how the image looks on the main window. I hated my old old Wacom 22hd because it only had like srgb 70% or something stupid and terrible contrast so you’d think something was looking great then glance at the main screen and realize it looks completely different.

Yi Chie, thank you very much for the review. Helps a lot. We can find this same product for half the price in the 2018 version (HDMI / DVI / VGA) with characteristics practically identical to those of the newer version. Which one would you buy in that case?

Get the new model if possible. The new pen tip is now very firm with minimal wobble, cursor tracking accuracy is better, and the display with this model is extremely good. I can't remember whether there's laminated display or parallax with the 2018 model.

Hi Teoh! Since a lot of Huion displays do not come with accurate colour profiling out-of-the-box, and everyone may not have access to a colour calibration tool, is it possible to make a video about calibrating one of these displays without a spider?
@teohyc
@teohyc 2 года назад
You will need to have an accurate colour reference by the side to compare to if you want to calibrate by eye. In theory, you'll need a printed colour chart, take a photo of it, then adjust your monitor's colour to match the printed colour chart. E.g. If your monitor is too yellow, the colour chart photo will look too yellow so you have to reduce the yellow.

Why it is so difficult to choose one? I am between the Xp Pen 24 Pro and the Cintiq 16... Quality is the main thing and cintiq is without a doubt the best one in terms of it but It is a little bit outdated with its 1080p screen. I mean, It was released like 3 years ago, long time ago. I haven't experienced any pen display from Xp Pen so I have been watching reviews from different people around the world and some of them praise the screen but non the pen quality, and some others praise the whole system. I'm not sure which one to buy....

Hi Teoh, how are you? I have a question, I would appreciate any comments: Could you give me any advice or guidance on which is the best pen display to use with Revit and Autocad? I know that I will have a lot of visual coordination, I will also zoom in and out and sometimes I will have to zoom in on some details to find with the pencil or the pointer the centers of a circle in autocad or revit. I work as a mechanical and piping designer, I will use to take center connections from one pipe to another, at the same time I will use many rotations with my 3D spacemouse connection to use it with the left hand instead of using it from the tablet. I will also be working entering numerical data with the keyboard or with the pointer navigating through the program, that is, there will be a lot of precision. I saw, that there is a wacom commercial on youtube a Wacom demonstration, with the cintiq pro 32 "which is an engineer turning the object and turning his tablet constantly. But for my Wacom it is too expensive, very expensive that is why I come to ask you for advice, which tablet should I buy between 15.6 "and 22" in size and that I can use it for this special case. If you need my information you can write to me at: zams6262@hotmail.com. Thanks so much for any help

Not sure the screen is better - the 24 Pro (if that's the one you ordered) has a higher resolution screen so maybe you made the right choice. I am still deciding between the two. Let me know what you think of the 24!
@caseymoore4759
@caseymoore4759 4 года назад
Craig Shuttlewood the only thing the 24 has better then the 22 plus is the overall resolution and shortcut keys but that’s personal preference. It does suck that the 22 plus is still a1080 but do you want a slightly sharper image or a image that actually can match the overall image quality (color,contrast etc) of real monitors.

I'm currently using the GAOMON PD1560 which I like and I'm wondering if you've used it and how you feel it compares to this Kamvas 22 Plus? @jwapptastic
@jwapptastic 3 года назад
Same here with Kavas pro 16. It was one of Huion's first full laminated displays, so it might not be as good as this one. But tilting the pen also offsets the cursor, so I have to hold the pen at a certain angle to get good accuracy - and it applies during the calibration process, too, so it takes ages to get a good calibration with pen tilt and parallax both at play. I still think it outclasses most screen tablet competitors, but my iPad is better. I've never used a full-laminated Wacom display or S-Pen so I can't compare those.
