1:15 - Oh boy - I had exactly the same experience, wondering where the hell this had come from in the washing machine and whether or not it would run OK without it. (Hey guys, if you can't figure it out, it's the underwire from a bra!)
Underwire bras are hand wash ONLY and air dry. If your gf/wife machine washes them -rethink your relationship. Bloody bras are SERIOUSLY expensive. Throwing them into the machine will drop their useful life from a well cared for 10 years to about 9-12 months. If she drys them in the dryer then 6 months to 9 months before the elastic craps out.
