This visual with the “stair steps” makes this response cycle very easy to remember and understand. I like how you explained the different steps and the actual physiological changes that occur with each step. This short, concise video makes it very helpful to understand the response cycle (something everyone knows colloquially) from a more detailed biological/physiological perspective.
We haven't gone over this in class yet but I have realized that each time I watch a video about a subject before we go over it in class, I get a better understanding of the topic and I am confident about those exam questions! Its like a never ending review!!
I like how you explained the structure of the diagram first and then went into detail about each phase of the human sexual response for both males and females.
It was such a simple step by step video. It was an interesting topic, I didn’t know about all those phases. Liked how it covered both male and female in one video!
MEDA 115 Spring 2021: Great video on explaining how our bodies react to one another without stigmatizing it. Interesting how guys need to take a break when girls don’t need to.
Would've loved if you went into a deeper explanation in the beginning of this video how certain circumstances such as smell, taste, etc. lead to sexual stimulation to headstart this sexual response cycle
I remember we discussed this briefly in my human sexualty class, a good refresher and also interesting to hear how women don't really have a resolution stage but men have do
I really like how there is only one visual but you expanded on it. It's easy to memorize and it makes it easier to follow along with what you are saying.
Simple and understandable explanations of each step. I like the visual diagram because it helps me memorize the order in which they happen. And I also found it interesting that women do not have a resolution phase.
I can honestly say I don't recall learning this in any health class I took from middle school through high school. The way the topic was covered was covered very well and it is beneficial for common knowledge of something that happens to everyone.
Resolution means that everything resets back to square on, a return to an unaroused state. Only man have a refractory period during resolution. But both men and women have resolution (Hock, 2012).
This video was very helpful. I really liked that the diagram was drawn out right at the beginning of the video. It really helped that I could draw out the diagram in my notes and then focus on listening to video and take down additional notes.
Great job explaining the steps of the human sexual response cycle. I liked how you broke down each section and what happens to an individual during this stage. The diagram is easy to follow and remember. I think having videos that have simple diagrams makes it easier to remember processes.
The diagram was very helpful, the way it was set up as steps and how they lead up to each other. Explaining each one brought new information that I was not aware of.
I liked that this a simple visual making it easier to understand the sexual response I'm both male and female. This is very concise, yet very informative.
The creator of this has the same last name as me! The diagram in the video was very helpful because I am a visual learner. Your explanation of each of the stages was very straight to the point and informative
Very interesting breakdown of the human sexual response cycle! This is not generally covered in depth in a & p courses so I learned a great deal from this.
I really like the visual within this video. It was very helpful to be able to look at the visual while hearing the information. I also liked how you went through the sexual response cycle within the male and females, and were able to contrast the two.
Wish you went more into why the male body needs time to have that resolution phase and why females do not but I like how you outlined the steps of the cycle.
It was interesting to find out that women do not need a resolution phase. I never thought of the human sexual response cycle to have four steps. Very informative video.
I enjoyed this video learning about the reproduction stages the most interesting thing was about the resolution phase about how woman can have several organisms while man need a break for this .
The diagram you drew out was helpful. I also like how you referred to both sexes while explaining the human sexual response. I honestly did not know a couple of the differences you pointed out between woman and man.
I remember that I learn this information few month ago, and this video is really good for review my learning. It also more helpful than powerpoint lecture!
Thorough breakdown of the Human Sexual Response Cycle and all its phases. I enjoyed how you related and then contrasted the differences between the male and female cycles.
I like the thorough explanation of the different steps. I did notice that I think "Plateau" was spelled incorrectly. It was interesting learning about the resolution phase and how it differs between men and women.
I enjoyed this video, you explain everything so well and straight to the point! I feel like most classes don't cover the stages, great job. - MEDA 110 - SU 2020
I like the diagram shown in this video, the visual representation of the human sexual response cycle made it easier to learn the cycle. This diagram also nicely summarized and organized the main phases of the human sexual response cycle. The color of the markers used in this video were bright and so the writing was easier to read compared to other videos.
I like the way you broke down the sexual response cycle! Given that we didn't go over this in class, it's nice to have some understanding as to what occurs and in what order.
Thank you for having the diagram up prior to the explanation, so I can focus on your explanation. It's interesting that blood helps with so many things in our body, but I didn't realize it helps increase our sexual reproductive system prior to intercourse. Pumping up our libido just by using our 5 sensory senses. Cool!
It was interesting how women do not have a resolution phase! This does create a difference when getting intimate with a male. Having the visual diagram really helped point out the difference between the cycles of Excitation, Plateae, Orgasm and then resolution for men. Mallory Gladden (Bio327 Student)
We learned about this in human sexuality and learned the fun fact that Masters and Johnson ended up testing their hypothesis on each other to save time and ended up divorcing their spouses and marrying each other. They eventually got a divorce as well!
Easy to follow diagram showing the four phases of the sexual response cycle! Very interesting that although both men and women experience these phase, the timing is different between the two.
Back when I was in high school (no reproduction topics in Junior High!) my very old female Biology teacher deliberately stopped explaining anything whatsoever after covering the topic of earthworm reproduction! And that was IT!!! The sum total of all the sexual topics ever covered in MY school!
I feel many instructors avoid this topic, but thank you for making this video; it is interesting to learn the physiology of all the steps that take place during intercourse.
I liked the visual because it is very simple and I liked the direct comparisons between male and female. I think it would also have been beneficial to draw the correlation between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
I am very pleased with this explanation, it gave a quick simple overview of the human sexual response cycle and the physoligical happenings. I also enjoyed the explanation of the mechanical stimulus that causes the first response which I feel is often not mentioned. The visuals used are also very simple to understand and makes it easy to remember. Great!
