Khabib Nurmagomedov (retired UFC lightweight champion) invited by DUBAI to visit their state of the art TRAINING centres. Khabib wears their jiu jitsu gi and asks for a White Belt to tie up.
@@jamestopliss7029 wdym what are you talking about he said half the worlds black belts were given by people who don’t deserve anything higher than a green belt
With a Gi? Not in a million years. Even a Brown - Purple Belt can fold him. With a Gi is a completely different fighting style. Don't disrespect BJJ like this. BJJ founded the MMA we all know today with the Gracie Family. And Dagestani dudes came to Brazil for the tournament, they lost.
@@smesh141 and you forgot to say that you have to be awarded a belt at a ceremony so to claim you’re higher than the belt you’ve been given is insanely disrespectful to the art, thanks for the attempted correction though man it’s very appreciated
@@Kane-ez cry Harder , he and his father built his people and his community for free when the government don't even care . I'm sure you and your family drunkard all night , they don't even do shit for the community
Man seeing Khabib so happy is the best. He is loved and admired globally. Young man from the peaks of Dagestan comes to the US conquers and its nuts cause when he smiles you can still see the young boy in him. A really young man that grabbed the bull by the horns really young travelled far from home and grew up really fast. Looking at him smiling i can still see innocence in his eyes. Such a humble gentleman. He won his debut fight and made his home town proud
Back in the 90s, every BJJ white belt already knew how to tie it in the first class. Because they were already karate or TKD black belts or brown belts.
@@mrsensei8878 when I was just a blue belt, I was watching some video instructional, and I commented that the dude put was tied it wrong. He looped it around just over one, not both, just as khabib did in this video. The dude in the video answered my comment, very respectfully: That's the way Mestre Helio Gracie did it, and if it was good enough for him, it is good enough for me. So, someone like khabib, being a black belt in judo, having trained an inmessurable amount of hours in marital arts, Having won everything he could, ties it in a certain way, Even if that's not how it is commonly used nowadays, I think is not that simple to say he just ties it wrong.
This just shows the level of integrity and humility khabib has, one of the greatest grapplers of all time yet starts at white belt in Bjj just like everybody else everyone can learn something from this guy whether it’s the way he fights or the way he lives
And Jon Jones put on a BJJ white belt after he was already UFC champ. Chuck Norris started over as a BJJ white belt after he already achieved a judo black belt and won 6 world karate championships. The martial artists with a growth mindset care nothing for status on paper.
“Ok newbies, we got a new guy in the team, he’s also a white belt and he wants to spar 5 rounds which each one of you, go easy on him” *Khabib walks in: I’m gonna smesh y’all
That humbleness differentiates him from most of the others... This clan is a grounded one... U leave the ground... U fly away in yachts😂....off the cage
Reminds of the time I was paired with a Kazakh guy in practice in his first session. I had 6 months experience at the time, but still got absolutely demolished by him for 3 rounds. Turns out he had done Sambo for like 5 years 😅.
That doesn't matter. I know purple belts who train twice a day and are much better than our instructor. the belt only shows how long you have been training
What a great guy. He doesn't want to disrespect the discipline others had in order to advance to their respective belt color so he asks for a white belt.
Ultimate guy….he knows that in this sport he didn’t earn the belt …so he wore the white belt….hats off to him and his dad for making one of the greatest fighters and wonderful human being.
That's why one should never underestimate someone with white belt. Especially in jiu jitsu people often come from many different martial arts systems. You don't know what they did before.
